The 31st edition of the popular annual mega trade fair, the India International Trade Fair (IITF), took place at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from November 14 to 27, 2011. The presence of Nivea India at the Trade Fair was wonderful. The straightforward idea of the company was to create brand awareness amongst the huge visitor base at IITF, considered to the best & the biggest Trade Fair held in the country.

IITF is the largest integrated Trade Fair with both B2B (Business to Business) and B2C (Business to Consumer) modules. It presents an inspiring range of products from artistes to MNCs covering varied areas largely from customer goods class.

Nivea India at the trade fair was by far the most talked about stall given the sheer International presence and grabbed huge eyeballs as against competition like Wipro, Joy etc. The set up

emphasized the eternity theme of “100 years of Better Skincare for life”. Consumer consultation and sales promotion was done via Special Sales promoters who were handpicked and trained on the product features. There was an exclusive IITF discount offer of 10% on MRP (maximum retail price) for all visitors interested in purchasing NIVEA products. Basis the overwhelming response we sold Nivea products worth Rs. 1.8 Million INR versus a target set of 1.5 Million INR.

The set up was best in class and received GOLD MEDAL for BEST DISPLAY in complete FMCG (Durable & Non-Durable set) at IITF which was widely covered in press.

Delhi is the largest Skin Care market for all. The consumers duly associated NIVEA with the crème tin and seemed to be less aware of the various categories it was available in. Hence IITF formed a unique base in reaching out to the selected enthusiasts who came to visit the fair with the sheer objective of gaining mind share and generate awareness for our categories besides setting up NIVEA as Global Skin Care Experts.
