Nitrus has a flexible approach to IT training and can accommodate candi-

dates at all skill levels. Our training course options allow you to pick the

right type of course and enable you to select a location, date and training

style.

Scheduled (Open) Courses

Our scheduled courses are open to anyone and are a great way to train

individuals or a small group of delegates who are looking to build on

their existing skills. The itinerary and practical exercises follow industry

standard courseware and each delegate receives certification for

attending the course. We publish our training schedule quarterly in

advance and it contains many of our most popular IT training courses as

well as a number of specialist courses. Take a look at our online schedule

Private (Closed) and Tailored Training

Private or closed training courses can be delivered at our IT Training

Suite, at your premises or at other pre-agreed locations. They are

available to organisations that have several employees who need training

at the same time, or wish to focus the training on a customised itinerary.

Tailored courses can be delivered to target the key topics that are of

most importance to your business, with less attention paid to areas where

skills are already present or non-essential.

Course modules can be extracted from various standard open course

manuals and if necessary can be written to meet specific requirements.

We can provide training services for thousands of software and hardware

solutions. Private courses allow you to mix subjects and technologies

into a single itinerary. This is often one of the most appropriate methods

Bespoke Training

Bespoke courses can be developed and delivered to meet your specific

requirements. We provide a FREE training needs analysis to help you

create a training itinerary that will cover the subjects that will most

benefit your delegates. These types of courses are an effective method of

training users that are migrating to a new software application as the

course content, location and duration can be customised. With Nitrus

Onsite Training

The majority of our IT Training courses can also be delivered at your

premises or at a suitable location of your choice. Onsite courses are

if it requires the use of in-house systems. It also reduces the cost of the

course and eliminates travel and subsistence costs. Onsite training

courses can be delivered in standard, tailored or bespoke formats.

Microsoft Training

Nitrus is a Microsoft Certified Partner for Learning Solutions (CPLS), which authorises us

to offer the complete range of Microsoft Official Learning Product courses.

With Microsoft instructor-led classroom training courses held at your offices or one of

our UK based training centres, you can develop skills which are directly transferable

from the classroom to the workplace. Microsoft Official Curriculum (MOC) courses

provide job-relevant training, which lead to associated certification tracks.

Each Microsoft technical classroom training course usually lasts from one to five days

Prince 2 Training

PRINCE2 (Projects in Controlled Environments) is a process-based approach for project

management, providing an easily tailored and scalable project management method-

ology for the management of all types of projects. The method is the de-facto standard

for project management in the UK and is practised worldwide.

Nitrus deliver all of the official PRINCE2 project management training courses. Our

certified instructors have a wealth of hands-on project management experience to help

PRINCE2 Training Courses

There are a number of PRINCE2 training course options available to take you from

‘Foundation’ to ‘Practitioner’, either in stages or accelerated in a single course. You can

PRINCE2 Exams

To become a registered and qualified PRINCE2 Practitioner, you need to sit exams for

PRINCE2 Foundation followed by PRINCE2 Practitioner. It is entirely up to you when to

sit the exams as they can be taken at the end of your training course, or booked in the

same day, week, month, or even years apart as the Foundation Certification has no

expiry date.

We follow a simple learning process consisting of Preparation, Presen-

tation, Participation and Verification. The instructor prepares delegates

for what they are about to learn. The instructor presents each module

of the course and the delegates participate using the courseware and

training equipment. By the engagement of practical learning sessions,

delegates’ skills are verified by the instructor.

High-Tech Training Suites with the Latest Technology

If you opt to book your training at our comfortable, high-tech IT

Training Suites, they are equipped with the latest laptops or space

saving desktop PCs and LCD screens, with height, tilt and swivel

adjustable controls. Delegates each have use of an individual desk and

fully adjustable chair to meet health and safety requirements.

Technical Workshops

Technical workshops are suitable for more informal IT training courses

or short burst sessions. Often workshops are prepared specifically for

customers and are based on a presentation style approach. They

include plenty of hands-on exercises plus customised documentation

and courseware. Workshops can be tailored to provide a rapid training

solution for your employees and are great way of evaluating

technology, team building and promoting collaborative learning.

Offsite Assistance and Floor Walking

Nitrus instructors can be booked to visit your premises and support

your employees at their desk or work position. For example, we can

assist your users by teaching them new techniques, or helping them to

grasp an updated software version or phone system that is being de-

ployed across your organisation. Our instructors can assist with imme-

diate questions or concerns regarding the solution, offering immediate

help where required.

An instructor can also assist where training has already been delivered,

but additional support is required to assist delegates with any

questions they have once back at their workplace. Immediate hands-on

refresher training can be delivered to individuals and this can often put

the new skills they have learnt into context.

Consultancy

Some IT projects are too complex to just send staff on a course to learn

the necessary skills. It can be uneconomical and time consuming to

train staff to fully gain all the necessary skills to be able to troubleshoot

and maintain a system or perhaps carry out a new installation. Booking

Booking an Exam

Nitrus is an Authorised Pearson VUE Testing Centre.

With over 5,000 test centres in 165 countries, Pearson VUE offers one of the most

expansive test centre network in the industry. Pearson VUE provides a full suite of

services from test development to data management and delivers exams through the

world’s most comprehensive and secure network of test centres. The numerous IT

exams covered by Pearson VUE include Microsoft, Citrus, Cisco, CompTIA and VMware.

Examinations are delivered at our Testing Centres on personal computers at individual

workstations. Pearson VUE computer-based tests can be scored immediately and

results may be given to candidates before they leave the test centre. Fully qualified test

centre administrators aim to provide a quiet and comfortable environment for all test

takers. The rooms are monitored constantly to ensure a safe and secure environment.
