Mt. Niseko-Annupuri boasts 4 resorts which are collectively known as Niseko. The resorts, Annupuri, Niseko Village, Grand Hirafu, and Hanazono all offer their own charm and terrain. You can ski in each resort separately or it is also possible to ski across the whole mountain with the All Mountain lift pass. Niseko offers a mix of long wide open groomed runs, off-piste tree skiing, terrain parks for all levels of skiers/boarders, and easy access to some of the most awe inspiring back country runs you will experience anywhere in the world. With 10 gates throughout the resort, accessing the back country in Niseko could not be easier. Not only can you enjoy amazing snow conditions throughout the day, Niseko also offers one of the largest night skiing areas in the world.

Niseko is home to some of the most consistent powder snowfalls and powder skiing in the world. The snow forms over the tundra plains of Siberia, picking up moisture over the narrow strait of the Sea of Japan, before delivering an annual average of 14m of extremely light and dry powder snow across the Niseko area. Niseko’s winter season runs from late November to Early May. The peak powder period is typically from mid December to early March. An annual average 4 metre snow base ensures great spring conditions from March onwards.

M o s t o f N i s e k o ’ s w e s t e r n accommodations were built from 2006 onwards with very limited ski in / ski out options resort wide.

Cash is king in Niseko. This being said more restaurants and shops are now accepting credit card as a payment method both in-resort and on the mountain.

The legal age for smoking and drinking in Japan is 20 years old. Japan has a zero blood alcohol level for drinking and driving.

With an average snowfa l l of 14 meters, expect the unexpected with Niseko's weather. We recommend all guests arrange travel insurance before travelling.

In Niseko all accommodations require shoes be removed at the entrance. This is a Japanese tradition aimed at keeping the house/property clean.

As an International destination English is common throughout Niseko. Learning some common Japanese phrases would definitely still be beneficial and enhance your experience.

The closest JR station to the Hirafu resort is the Kutchan JR station. Guests commonly mistake the Hirafu or Niseko JR stations as being the closest.
