Non profit organizations – it is not necessary as we have no commercial
activity. Fundraising is ok. Commercial activity is selling and bartering
membership list which we do not do.
We have a clause in the membership registration form for permission for
picture in directory and web site. Dorothy Davis will get the list so that those
people’s pictures are not posted.
Motion that a line will be added to the Duties of Executive Members and
Committee chairs to regarding the privacy policy. Motion made by Catherine
Sutherland, discussion and seconded by Shelley Dionne.
There was also a discussion regarding security concerns and lists going out.

Community Quilts Kathy Boone
As per the newsletter we are behind about 8-10 quilts. Asking if anyone is
making a quilt for the community quilts. There are cloth labels available to give
out for those people to put on the back of the quilts.
A good size for comfort quilts is 50” x 70”
Quilt kits for the Food Bank Quilts at the back if anyone is interested. 2 big
quilt kits are ready.
Baby Quilts have already been taken to URVH. They have about 12 so are
good for now.
If you are donating a quilt you have made after you show it at Show and Tell
please see Kathy Boone after so she can get the details.

Program
Tip of the month. If you miter your borders make sure they are an accurate
45 degrees. If you are out an 1/8 “ this equals 1/4", and if you do this twice,
it equals 1/2” which makes a wonky border and does not quilt out.
This month we are continuing the Pinwheel rearrangement to make more
blocks. We are also starting the Row by Row. The first row is Stockings. See
handout sheet for directions. Don’t forget the Canadian Quilters
Association (CQA) started the 52 bocks for 52 weeks. This is free on their
web site. If anyone missed the handouts for December or January please
see me . thanks Janet M

Library Report
Three new patterns and a book featuring the Judy Niemeyer method
of paper piecing will be available this month. The patterns are the Poinsettia
Table Topper, Tea Time Placemats and Dahlia Placemats.
We still have enough money for another book order this year so if there are
any wish lists out there let me know!
