1.about us

People soon came to Elliot and Betsy asking where the announcements came from and how much it would cost for them to have something similar. Unfortunately, without calling in favors, getting a custom-designed birth announcement would be too expensive for most people, news that Elliot and Betsy both reluctantly shared.

Why couldn’t a service be created to enable someone without a design background to make something special for their own child, an announcement that could be printed professionally and grouped with a nicely-colored envelope and label? Elliot asked the same question to two friends, Kent and Eric, who have photographic and software experience.

The result? NiftyNotes.

The birth of the idea that has become NiftyNotes began with the birth of a child. Elliot Strunk, a graphic designer, created acard to share with friends and family announcing the birth of hisson, Evan. He took some decent digital photos the day of the birth and worked to create a design that also incorporated Evan’sinky footprints. He had the announcements printed by a friend,picked up some colored envelopes at a local store, and createdmailing labels on adhesive-backed paper so each card wouldn’tbe addressed by hand. Then Elliot and his wife, Betsy, handedsome announcements to associates, neighbors, and clients, andmailed the rest to friends and family across the country.

Address Labels and EnvelopesWe offer customizable, self-adhesive address labelsto coordinate with your chosen announcement design. Choose between receiving “blank” labels to hand address or send us your address information digitally for fully-finished labels.

Door SignCrafted with a matte laminate, this fun, oversize announcement can be hung on a door to let neighbors know that the baby has come home and the family is ready for visitors.

Quarterly Updates and First Birthday AnnouncementShowcase your child’s progress in three month increments through the purchase of our quarterly update cards.

Thank You CardsWe have crafted thank you cards that match our design styles in each collection. These cards are available flat or folded.

NiftyNotes offers an entire line of products based around specific templates grouped under individual themes. Thiscoordinated assortment allows our customers to select aninitial design direction. All cards are produced on a thick, smooth, uncoated, white cardstock with recycled content.

Birth AnnouncementsThe cornerstone of our product offering is birth announcements. Ask us about developing a tasteful printed piece with you baby’s infor-mation on the front of the card and the option of including a photograph covering almost the entire back side.

Each announcement template is available in both horizontal and vertical orientations at three different sizes:

Small (A-2 Size)• Announcement Size: 5.5” x 4.125”• Envelope Size: 5.75” x 4.375”

Medium (A-7 Size)• Announcement Size: 7.0” x 5.0”• Envelope Size: 7.25” x 5.25”

Large (A-9 Size)• Announcement Size: 8.5” x 5.5”• Envelope Size: 8.75” x 5.75”

Address Labels and EnvelopesOur self-adhesive address labels coordinate with your chosen announcement design. These labels are trimmed to 4.75” x 1.875”, a size that fits on any of our three envelopes. Choose between receiving “blank” labels to hand address or send us your address infor-mation digitally for fully-finished labels ready to be peeled and applied to your envelopes.

Door SignDoor signs are 11.0” x 16.9” with a matte laminate and are available in horizontal or vertical orientations.

Quarterly UpdatesAs with our announcements, each quarterly update template is offered in both horizontal and vertical orientations and in three different sizes. Available in small, medium and large.

First Birthday AnnouncementSimilar to both our birth announcements and quarterly updates, we also offer a first birthday announce-ment, with the child’s information on the first side of the card and the option of including a photograph on the second side. Available in small, medium and large.

Thank You CardsNiftyNotes offers print-on-demand thank you cards that match the design styles in each collection. These cards are available as either flat or folded cards that fit into our small envelopes. As with our announcements, our print-on-demand thank you cards will allow for user personalization, including the option to include a photo for certain card layouts.

Order OptionsNiftyNotes offers three basic announcement sizes and five package options within each of those sizes.

PackagesCustomers may choose from one of five different package options. All packages are offered in increments of 25 announcements, with a minimum of 50 announcements per order. Packages purchased with envelopes include self-adhesive closure stickers with the NiftyNotes logo, one sticker per envelope.

Package 1: Announcements Only• Single- or double-sided announcements.

Package 2: Announcements and Matching Envelopes• Package 1 plus an envelope matching the chosen design’s color palette and envelope closure labels

will be included with each printed announcement.

Package 3: Announcements, Matching Envelopes, and Mailing Labels• Package 2 plus self-adhesive mailing labels with a custom return address and blank lines for the

customer to hand-letter recipient addresses are included. (One per envelope.)

Package 4: Announcements, Matching Envelopes, and Custom-Addressed Mailing Labels• Package 3 plus self-adhesive mailing labels with a custom return address and custom-printed recipient

addresses provided by the customer are included. (One per envelope.)
