Leadership and Management experience.

Management and leadership experience post my Post Graduate Diploma in Tourism marketing communication began within the communications world of global marketing agencies in London. Multi disciplined teams across countries needed direction, guidance and support led by London to ensure policies and guidelines were followed for international campaign roll outs. I looked after initially the Middle East Market. Client roles within global hotel companies involved me setting strategy, recruiting and leading a team and collaborating with additional heads of specialism’s so client’s events or business requirements were delivered. Responsible for delivering the budget and performance of the business. I leda new team in a niche tourism hotel destination specialist start up integrated communications business in the Middle East and ultimate achievement of global division 1 clients, delivering a range of communication solutions including events. Leading and developing a market entry strategy, a series of educational events and communications to add value to an ASPAC travel trade associations. Specifically high level Governments, airlines and industry players were deliverables from that role for the Middle East

I have been fortunate and have had experience of working globally and in the UK with such a diverse population of colleague, stakeholders, academics and professionals and have ability to empathise, listen and then deliver quite surprising and engaging solutions with a team of colleagues.

Strategy development.

All superior consulting work ultimately starts with superior and original thinking set around a defined pr or communications brief, developing a client’s strategy. Having spent the majority of my professional time working for commercial organisations along with Governments then financial considerations remain critical to the successful running of the business or delivery of specific services where accountability to members who decide on use of membership fees, or Governments who are open to comment and scrutiny.Yes, I have worked with budgets, liaising closely with the head of finance, driving revenues in all roles held, to ensure financial goals and targets were achieved. I believe myself to be commercial savvy and can identify ways to drive revenues and retain costs.

Working within a pr communications consulting agency environment then the only reason superior work is produced and delivered is through the collaboration of specialists all working together to achieve a common goal and purpose. My whole career has been based on this approach.

Client side roles within global hotels also require the same collaborative mind set – operational departments have to work to one agreed final scope of work; on time (to the minute) on budget. Luxury facilities at the top end of the market reply on superior service delivery, anticipation of needs, creative ideas and superlative experiences to retain their brands values and position.Many agency roles are ongoing retained relationships. Some are for specific projects when the same thinking and skill set provides for successful completion against specific project objectives, goals and timelines. I have had experience of both.
