Satirical comedy22 Jump Street is a comical film about individuals getting hurt and humiliation which fits into the category of a satirical film.Iconography: In this movie the main visual is the police officer/good guys end up defeating their opponents in a comical manner.Setting: the majority of this film is set in a stereotypical American college. There are constant chases among other thrilling moments within this film which add a sense of excitement to the film.Narrative: sexual scenes, car chases, fighting etc. all take place to build intensity throughout the film.

Characters: there is a dichotomy between ‘villains‘’ and ‘heroes’ – in which the heroes begin losing and as the film goes on win. This is a repertoire of Nick Lacey’s perception of a satirical film.
