NIBE Industrier AB is the parent company of the NIBE Group of companies. It is an international 682 M€ company employing a staff of

more than 8,000 people. Operations are organized in three business areas: NIBE Element, NIBE Energy Systems and NIBE Stoves. Since

1997 listed on the Stockholm stock exchange.

NIBE Element is the market leader in Northern Europe and a leading international manufacturer of components and systems for

electric heating applications and for resistors. The market is made up of industrial users and users of components.

NIBE Process Heating is a cooperation between four companies within the NIBE Element group, providing components or

technology for the process industry.

SAN Electro-Heat A/S, SAN produces and supplies heating products all over the world,

focusing mostly on Process Industry, Wind Power, Railway Systems and Heating Cables.

Specialized in complete switch point, contact rail and contact wire heating systems.

JEVI A/S, Our core competencies are, in cooperation with our customers, those of designing,

manufacturing and supplying electric heating solution for offshore, onshore, marine, process

industry and oil & gas industry.

JEVI develops and manufactures equipment for safe areas, as well as for explosion-proof

areas, in accordance with ATEX (Ex).

We are domiciled in Denmark, running production facilities in Denmark as well. Employing a

staff of 90 employees, as well as 25 employees at our company (Sinus Jevi) in the Nether-

lands.

Sinus - Jevi Electric Heating bv is a world-wide operating company, specialized in heat

systems and control systems for the petrochemical and chemical industry, refineries, food

and other industries.

We are specialists in heat transfer and production of electrical heaters. Our products and

experience cover a wide range of applications, serving a wide range of customers.

Our complete range of custom-engineered process and immersion heaters - along with our

standard product portfolio incorporating immersion heaters, room heaters and thermostats,

hold extensive IECEx, and ATEX certification.

Norske Backer is a manufacturer and turnkey supplier of heating products for land-based

industry and offshore companies. Much of the capacity involves production of customized

special products made to customer specifications. In other words, Backer handles the entire

process from defining requirement to designing and producing the product, with short

delivery times.

Heatrod Elements Ltd employs a team of application engineers

specifically focussed on process heating applications. Our team of

engineers will quickly understand what specific expertise are required

and if this can be dealt with within our UK operation or input from a

group partner company is required.

for Gasses and AirElectrical Heaters for AirBackground heating of working and living quarters on offshore platforms.Manufactured in acid-proof stainless steel, fitted with IP 65 cable ducts with built-in thermostats for temperature regulation, and prevention of excess surface temperatures on the heating elements. All electrical heaters are specified and manufactured in accordance with IEC 79-85-92 CENELEC EN 50040. In each group, one of the elements is equipped with an internal thermo-couple monitoring temperature rise as overheat protection, in the event of reduced air flow or failure.

Electrical Heaters for Preheating Emission GasesManufactured from acid-proof stainless steel, with heating elements of the same materials, type BC, mounted on detachable flange plates with IP 55 cable duct, raised 250mm over the heat conductor.This type of electrical heater is for variating pressure and tem-perature. Bath Heater - “Termodyp”The Termodyp range of bath heaters is a complete electric programme for heating vessels and smaller tanks for degreasing plants, de-acidification tubs, and in the galvanic industry.

Termodyp products are standard supplied with 2m connection cable. The cap is protection class IP55. The standard cold zone is 150mm. The cap may not be exposed to operating temperature

over 70°C. Termodyp products are stocked in various sheath materials: glass, porce-lain, stainless acid-resistant steel AISI 316 and titanium. Various lengths and cold zones are available to order.

To achieve the optimum lifetime for your bath heater, it is important to choose the best sheath material based on the chemi-cals to be used in the vessel. Note that conditions in vessels may vary, affecting the lifetime of the bath heater.

The Termodyp bath heater must be installed hanging so that both hot and cold zones are always covered by liquid. If the vessel is covered by a lid, a hole must be cut for the bath heater so that the cap is not exposed to temperatures over 70°C.

Finned Tube HeatersOur WD-H finned tube heaters are designed for industrial applica-tions. Because of their high level of reliability, they are especially suitable for all heating applications at an ambient temperature of up to 60°C. Due to the fact that their construction is in accordance with IP65, they are also suitable for damp areas. The heaters must be installed by skilled personnel.

Because of the high surface temperature, they are not suitable for rooms containing inflammable materials and in areas posing a potential risk of explosion.The heater is composed of ceramic centre formers in which a glow spiral is encased in a 1- or 3-phase construction.

The connection is robust and can substain high temperatures.It is possible to insert a second cable gland into the connection box, allowing for connection with a room thermostat. A room thermostat (IP30; 0-30°C) may also be placed on the lid of the connection box (in a dry environment).

Finned Tube HeatersOur WD-L finned tube air heaters are designed for application in the home, the office, or in industry. Due to the overheating protection and the low surface temperature, they are especially suitable for all heating applications at an ambient temperature of up to 30°C.

Due to the fact that the construction is in accordance with IP65, they are also suitable for damp places.Because of the low surface temperature, they are also suitable for damp places.

On account of the low surface temperature, they are safe to use in places of easy access. The heaters are composed of an enclosed stainless steel tubular element in which a glow-spiral is encased in a 1-phase construction. The connection is simple. It is possible to insert a second cable gland into the connection box. This will allow for the connection of an external room thermostat. A room thermostat (IP30: 0-30°C) may also be placed on the lid of the box (in a dry environment).

Finned Tube Air HeatersUsed in explosion proof areas for room heating, such as in storage rooms and petrol stations, on drilling platforms and for chemical and petrochemical plants. Also used for heating control cabinets in order to prevent condensation in switchboards, control panels and instrument panels. This finned tube air heater is epoxy-coated.

Special Applications For Solvent Recovery UnitsSolvents must be recycled with a high quality and provided again. Dirty solvents or material mixtures are heated up e.g. by means of electrical heaters.For this kind of work, we manufacture various types of immersion heaters, used in units for solvent recovery and distillation plants.

Heat Transfer UnitsElectrically heated thermal oil units are especially used to heat and control the temperature of a consumer at high operating temperatures and low pressures. Our electrical heaters are used in these systems for which we design the surface load of the heating elements in accordance with the operating conditions.

Heat Transfer

IR ElementsIR elements are used for radiant heating, primarily in the plastics, paint, food, textile and workshop industries.

IR elements are produced in ceramic materials, quartz glass, and quartz glass with halogen. Elements in ceramic material or quartz glass emit infra-red radiation of long to medium wavelength at a working temperature between 150° - 760°C. Elements in quartz glass with halogen emit infra-red radiation of short wavelength and provide a working temperature up to 2,400°C. These elements can be used in environments with a vacuum, or where there is air movement. Infra-red radiation provides fast and effective heating at low investment cost and is especially suitable where brief heating at intervals is needed.

Used for e.g. plastic moulding; drying paint and print; sterilizing; glueing; silk screen printing; as terrace heaters.

ATEX

General InformationIn the chemical and process industry, as well as in the manufac-turing industry and the offshore sector, various media are produced, manufactured, and stored in potentially explosive areas, thereby requiring special explosion proof equipment.

Our explosion proof solutions are manufactured in accordance with ATEX, an EU directive relating to electrical and mechanical equipment for use in potentially explosive areas.

We produce electric heating solutions for solid and liquid ubstances as well as for gases, and these may be supplied complete with control cabinets. Among other things, we produce:

• immersion heaters for liquid substances and gases• circulation pre-heaters for liquid substances and gases• gas pre-heaters for industrial gases such as hydrogen, CO2

and nitrogen• air pre-heaters / re-heaters• finned tube heaters• various industrial heating solutions• junction boxes, thermostats, electronic temperature

regulators and controllers for duct heaters

The term of “explosive atmosphere” is defined as a mix of inflammable substances - in the form of gases, vapour, mist or dust - which may lead to fire spreading to the un-burnt mix following ignition. Atmospheric conditions are normally defined as -20°C to +40°C, pressure 0.8 - 1.1 bar.We produce equipment for ATEX areas, with different temperature and pressure on the media and for all temperature classes.

BASIC ELEMENTEx e II heating elementOne of the basic elements of explosion proof equipment is the tubular heating element. This heating element comprises a nickel chrome resistance thread surrounded by a metal cap and insulated with compact magnesium oxide. These elements can be bent to achieve optimum utilization.

The standard sizes of the elements are Ø8.5mm, Ø10.2mm, Ø12.7mm and Ø16mm.

Cover material: AISI 304/316/321/310, SMO254, Incoloy 800/825, Inconel 600, titanium and copper. Other materials on agreement.

We have developed heating element with enhanced safety, Ex e II, in accordance with EN 60079-0 and EN 60079-7. This element forms a basis for equipment with enhanced safety; this means that special rules have been implemented with regard to the design (in order to create an opportunity for enhanced safety) in order to prevent high surface temperatures as well as sparks in the inner or outer electrical parts. These Ex e II elements can be built into a junction box with a minimum degree of protection of IP54 fitted with Ex e terminals.

Pressure proof thermostats and thermo elements fitted in a junction box are used for maximum temperature protection and control. All coupling units in the junction box must be of pressure proof design.

Immersion Heaters/standardOur immersion heaters are the most common alternative for heating fluids. They are used as a heat source in, for example, water heaters, boilers, oil systems and industrial fluid heating. The heaters consist of tube elements that are soldered or welded to flanges, element heads or nipples. They are combined with thermostats, thermal cut-offs and connection boxes. Alternatively, immersion heaters may be made from ceramic elements set into protective tubes. Special/ Ex immersion heatersWe are capable of calculating, designing and manufacturing electric immersion heaters intended for heating of liquids, gases and air in hazardous Ex zones 1 & 2.Ex certified immersion heaters may be custom made to client preferred specifications as long the design and construction are based on terms given in current Ex directives.The design and construction principles of our Ex Immersion Heaters are certified, and are given the following protection code by NEMKO: II 2G EEx ed IIC T1 … T3

Electrical BatteriesHot air mixers and specialised systems for use in Ex areas. Our hot air systems are specially developed to cover our customer needs. Only our in-house produced heating elements are used in hot air systems. They are equipped with adjustable automatic thermostats and a fire thermostat with manual reset.

The units are supplied with elements of dim. Ø 8.5 and upwards in SS 2337 and galvanised sheet as a body, but other material can be offered on request. Each unit is supplied with a labelling plate on the outside providing essential information about the unit. There are exterior air purification symbols and an electrical onnection chart on the inside of the cover of the connection box. Used in ventilation systems; for duct assemblies; as additional heating in heat recovery plants, and many other applications within the process industry.
