The scheme exists to grow highly skilled managers who have the potential to go on to achieve senior leadership positions to improve health and healthcare.

NHS Graduate Scheme• One scheme comprising core learning and development

elements with specialist management threads in:– General management (90 places, 24 months)– Finance management (65 places, 31 months)– Human resources management (65 places, 24 months)– Informatics management (20 places, 24 months)

• Years 1 and 2– intense ‘on scheme’ structured development (two years for

general, HR and informatics; two and a half years for finance)

• At the end of the scheme– if you stay with the NHS in a permanent post, your development

will be supported for a further two years
