Note:
•World 10K and Open 10K Run categories are compulsorily timed races. The total payable entry fee includes timing fee is Rs 200/-.
•Where an applicant wishes to run for charity, she or he can download the pledge kit from the website or he can also avail of a physical copy of pledge kit by paying pledge kit fee of Rs.200, which will be pooled and distributed among the registered charities in proportion to the funds raised.
Chip Timing
World 10K and Open 10K Run categories at the World 10K Bangalore 2011 will be compulsorily timed. A timing chip which is synched with each running number bib, will be given to every World 10K and Open 10K runner at the Expo.

Provides accurate net and split times for each runner
Timing Certificates will be posted to all runners whose timing has been recorded at all timing mats
This Timing Certificate can be used to validate an individual’s running credentials at any AIMS ratified Distance Running event globally

Contestants will be judged by renowned personalities
Prize categories:
o Kingfisher Sakkath Bangalorean – cash prizes for 3 individuals for their best/ creative costumes
o Kingfisher Bombaat Brigade – cash prizes for 2 groups dressed in costumes based on a theme
NGOs can encourage groups/ corporates running in support of them to creatively depict the cause they support.

NGOs are encouraged to use the platform to drive awareness on their cause and raise funds.
NGOs must be registered with Bangalore Cares to officially raise funds through the Event. The registered NGOs will be listed on the websites for viewing by those running for a cause.

Registration certificate (Trust/ Society/ etc.)
80G/ 35AC exemption certificate and FCRA (if applicable)
Registration fee of Rs.4000/- (vide cheque in favour of ‘Bangalore Cares Trust’)

o Upfront non-refundable contribution of Rs 10,000 in favour of ‘Bangalore Cares Trust’.
o An amount of Rs 7,500 will be retained by Bangalore Cares as admin costs.
o A fund-raising kit will be given to confirmed Care Champions. Bangalore Cares will set -up a personal ‘appeal page’ on www.bangalorecares.in. This appeal page can then be circulated to Care Champion’s social circle, facilitating contributions online to the chosen cause.
o Encourage your Care Champion to contact as many people as they can involve, for their generous contributions.
o Funds can also be collected offline through cheques & demand drafts.
o All collections and completed fundraising forms, all adding up to a minimum of Rs1 lakh, must reach Bangalore Cares by 30 April 2011. This is in order to enjoy the benefits of a Care Champion on race day.

Corporate Cares
Companies fielding teams up to 30 members each team, all running for an NGO of company’s choice
Corporate Cares teams to register via Bangalore Cares, official ‘Charity Partner’
Corporate contribution per team is Rs 1.75 lakh per team to be paid up-front in favour of ‘Bangalore Cares Trust’
In addition to the above contribution, corporates need to pay applicable entry fees in favour of ‘Procam International Ltd SW10K’
Each team member is also encouraged to raise pledges for the chosen cause/ NGO
An amount of Rs 25,000 will be retained by Bangalore Cares as management costs
Fund-raising kits will be given to all confirmed team members of a Corporate Cares team
Pledges of individual team members to be made in favour of individual beneficiary NGO and sent to Bangalore cares for onward remittance.

concerned company and NGO Meeting with team leaders/ HR representatives, post registration (event up-

The first 2 Corporate teams, those runners who raise Rs 50,000/- for a cause, from across all Corporate Cares, to Bangalore Cares by 30 April 2011, will get a special event T-shirt for each runner in the team.
Separate holding area at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium on Race Day. A priority line up and start for the Corporate Cares teams who have opted
to participate in the Majja Run. Line-up as per roll of honour, determined by the quantum of charity raised
in the previous year, for the first 3 companies. Processing, reconciliation and acknowledging all pledge cheques received,
issuing receipts, ‘thank-you’ letters and 80G certificates as may be applicable.
Branding in the corporate holding area, and announcements during the event day.
iCare iCare comprises individual runners who can raise pledges of any
amount and run in support of a cause/ NGO. Charity amounts can be raised with the help of pledge/ fundraising
kits… Both physical kits, and as downloadable from Bangalore Cares
website, will be available at a cost of Rs 200 each, the amount thus collected going to the registered NGOs in proportion to the funds they raise.
First 10 iCare runners raising Rs 25,000 by 30 April 2011, get the event T-shirt.
Recognition will be given on the Bangalore Cares and event website throughout the year to top 10 iCare runners.
Pledge kits are designed in a new way, to motivate and help the runner to raise funds and decide on the cause to support.
Pledge kit will be available at Bangalore Cares and at Kanteerva Stadium (+91 80 2654 2135, from 1st February,Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm.)
Top three iCare runners will be recognised at the post event press meet.
Charity AwardsWe have upfront announced the kind of awards that will be given at the post event Press Conference which will be held in the month of June or July 2010
