NEXT GENERATION UNITED Next Generation United engages the knowledge, skills and creative energy of the next generation to identify, launch and foster innovative projects that elevate our community. Next Generation United is led by a diverse group of young leaders who partner with United Way to change lives and build a better community. Next Generation United’s signature event, Pitch 10, gives members the power to decide which local nonprofits win up to $10,000 in grants. Ten organizations pitch their idea, and attendees vote for their favorite to win. Attendees also have the opportunity to mix and mingle with other young leaders who share the same passion for community and giving back at Millennial Mixers. Learn about what the most pressing needs are in Erie County and how you can help solve them. WHY ENGAGE? • Have a voice in improving the community we live in through the design and ownership of community projects. • Network and make connections with others who are leaders in our community. • Become educated on community issues and programs. • Learn and develop the skills required to design and implement successful community change initiatives.
