Newton's laws of motionFrom: Kaylee wells, jantsen coleman, ashton manier
Newton's first law of motion
An object in motion will stay in motion. An object at rest will stay at rest unless acted on by an unbalcened force.
Newton's second law of motion
Newton's second law of motion
an unbalanced force on an object causes it to accelerate in the direction of the force.
Newton's third law of motionFor every action by a force , there is and
equal and opposite reaction.
Steps Tape down the rulerMake it where the coins will slide thought the
rulersGet the coinsFlick two quarters into one penny one nickel
one dime Then you will find your answer
Materials Tape Rulers Pennies Nickels Dimes quarters
Data and resultsWe discovered that if you flick 2 quarters into a penny
, nickel, and dime that it will make all of them move .On the first trial the dime moved 23 and a half
centimeters. The nickel moved 8 and a half centimeters. The penny moved 22 and a half centimeters.
On the second trial the nickel went 11 and a half centimeters the dime went 27 and one fourth centimeters the penny went 14 centimeters.
The third trail 8 three and a fourth centimeters the penny went 18 one fourth centimeters the dime went 19 cenimeters.
Conclusion We found out that if you flick 2 quarters into
a penny nickel and dime that it would make all of them move not just 2 coins.
I wonder question I wonder what would happen if we did it back
wards ?I wonder what would happen if we hit 5
quarters into 1 penny?
