Are there too many nights when you are speeding though the drive through or pickingup pizza for a rushed dinner Check out these ideas from Good Measures registereddietitians for how to put together a great-tasting family-friendly homemade meal in30 minutes or less Try a Meal Kit Meal kits can be ordered in advance online and many supermarkets also oer themThese kits usually include all the ingredients you need along with easy-to-understandinstructions to make dinner in about 30 minutes Many include the nutrition analysisso you can see how many calories and other nutrients are in each serving Anotherplus meal kits can be a fun way to get children and adolescents involved in cookingand learning basic skills Have Breakfast for Dinner Who doesnrsquot love pancakes a breakfast sandwich or an omelet anytime of day Haveyou ever tried savory oatmeal Boost the nutrition of your pancakes by making themwith whole-grain our and topping them with fruit and cottage cheese instead ofsyrup Make the breakfast sandwich with a whole-grain English mun or make ittartine style and toast whole-grain bread and top it with eggs a slice of tomatoavocado or turkey sausage and a sprinkle or slice of cheese For a dierent twist on oatmeal cook up some old fashioned oats and top with acombination of savory leftovers or some of these avocado slices cooked or raw thin-sliced peppers sliced scallions fresh herbs hot sauce grated cheese chickpeas chiaseeds grilled vegetables or baby spinach
