Second Sunday of July 2014 The Restoration Kids joyfully shared their worship songs with the congregation on July 6, singing during the Sunday service to the glory of God. I read in a devotion that “when we sing in worship, we are connecting with God’s love.” We can think of the Bible verse Psalm 89:1a: “I will sing of your steadfast love, Oh Lord, forever.” We are blessed to be able to sing right to the God of the universe. Our K-5 kids enjoyed time with their families in worship after singing praise to God. The music must have been heavenly as one of our little ones wondered how the music was coming down from above. A special thank you to those families who served with their children on July 6 for Family Serving Sunday. It is great that parents are sharing the importance of serving with Restoration Kids. In Nursery/Preschool, the kids played telephone and tossed bean bags to learn about being able to talk to God anytime and anywhere. The next Park, Play and Pray Date is Wednesday, July 16, at Alimagnet Park on Ridgeview Drive in Apple Valley with Kara Rassmussen hosting. Event Rescheduled: The Music and Movement event for Restoration Kids has been rescheduled for Thursday, July 17, from 9-11am at the Ministry Center. Please bring your empty paper towel rolls, toilet paper rolls, shoe boxes and oatmeal containers to the Ministry Center now so the kids can make instruments that day. On Thursday, July 24, join us for Splash and Fun at the Kelley Park Splash Pad from 9-11am. We’ll have some fun games for the kids to play.
