Uniforms Just a reminder to please ensure your child’s uniform is named, including socks, footwear and under clothing. Naming your child’s uniform makes it a lot easier to find if it goes missing.

Jewellery, apart from stud earrings, is not permitted to be worn at school. If your child has a piece of jewellery that has significant meaning e.g. for cultural or religious reasons, you need to submit a letter in writing to the Associate Principal explaining the reasons why it must be worn. All accessories e.g. watch, hair ties, headbands must be one of the school colours (red, black and white). If your child’s hair touches their shoulders, it must be tied up. Plain silver or gold studs ONLY are to be worn. Nail polish is NOT permitted at school.

Term One and Four, hats are compulsory and need to stay at school.

Lateness and absences The school bell rings at 8.55am and by this time the children should have arrived in the awhina space, unpacked their bag and be ready in the classroom for the start of the school day. If not, your child is classed as late. They will be asked to go to the office to get a “late pass’ and sign in. Doors to the classroom open at 8.20am. If you need to drop your child off earlier, then you need to arrange to have your child join the before school care service provided. Information can be found at the school office.

Parent Helpers There are always lots of things to do to keep our school running. Some things we can do quickly but other things take time. Because of this, we are always looking for some helpers. If you can volunteer your time please contact Mrs Stewart and Mrs Boggs.
