Option 2 – Peter Pan blouse with grey slacks – 9 positive responses with 1 expressing interest in purchasing this year. All is almost organised for next Friday’s (5 April) annual Alfords Point Public School Cross Country Carnival at Coachwood Oval (races commence at 9.15am). All students need to be at school at 8.40am for roll call and event instructions. It’s been great to hear the chat by students about how they have been training during out of school hours (of course with parent permission and supervision). The Kindi students’ course is 400m, Year 1 students’ course is 600m and the Year 2 students’ course is 800m. For the primary students, the junior (8,9 & 10 years) course is 2km and the senior course is 3km. As this event takes place around the pathways outside the school playground (for students in Years 3-6) as well as Coachwood Oval, we require the assistance of parents and friends as track officials. If you can assist, please return the paperwork to Debbie Burke by next Tuesday 2 April. Spectators are very welcome, remember a comfy chair and your big voices for cheering. Permission notes need to be returned ASAP. Thanking you in advance for your support. Successful students in the 8-13 year age groups at our carnival will progress to the Engadine Zone carnival on Friday 24 May. Winter PSSA teams are almost finalised. Trials continued today and successful students will be announced prior to the school holidays. The winter PSSA competition begins in Term 2 on Friday 3

May. Debbie Burke ANZAC Care Packages Thank you to everyone in our school community for your contributions to our ANZAC Care packages. They will be sent out early next week and we look forward to hearing back from our Australian Soldiers. Eggshibition and Colouring Competition The SRC will be holding their annual Eggshibition on Thursday 11 April. This is a competition where Stage 2 and 3 students will be able to create a diorama that has something to do with eggs. There have been many interesting and creative ideas over the years, such as, Eggtanic, Egg Direction and Eggypt. Kindergarten and Stage 1 will be able to enter a colouring and decorating competition. They should have received their Easter colouring sheet today. All colouring competitions are to be given to Mrs Panourgias by Tuesday 9 April. We look forward to seeing the creative talent of all students at Alfords Point Public School. As of next week the SRC will also be running an Easter Egg Guessing Competition during recess and lunch time. Students will be able to pay 20c for each guess of how many eggs are in the Easter Jar. The winner will be announced during our Easter Hat Parade on Thursday 11 April. Mrs Panourgias and Miss Townsend
