Page 1 of 5 November 2019 Newsletter NTBSH Swim Club Swan Hill Leisure Centre, Prichard St, Swan Hill President’s Update Upcoming Events President’s Report Had the pleasure of attending the Country Junior 8 to 12 year olds Competition at MSAC on Saturday 9 th November. We had some awesome swims and plenty of PBs. The District Team on a whole was the biggest team they’ve sent and the most successful. So, it was wonderful to be a part of it. Anders, Julian, Jess, Caitlin, Mia and Amy represented our Club well at District Level and they should be all very proud of themselves. This season is moving fast and I am excited for this weekend in Shepperaton I soooo hope we have quite a few club members come along. Next will be our Meet on the 7 th Dec. If anyone has contacts at other clubs throughout Victoria please encourage them to visit and enter our meet. This is our biggest club fundraiser for the year and we’d like to get as many competitors as possible. So, call in those favours, sometimes just a phone call is all the encouragement they need to feel welcome. It’s been wonderful to see new faces poolside. Lots of junior swimmers joining which is fantastic for the future prosperity of our club. I’d like to make a special mention of our NEW SECRETARY Nicole Bail. Nicole has taken on the role and has already created an awesome website and taken a huge load off my shoulders. Wonderful to be able to share the workload. Nicole is super-efficient and learning the role and all about the swimming world very quickly. Go Two Bays!!! Coaches Corner
It's exciting to see, that most of you are starting to get back in the pool, and a few starting to compete in some racing. The more racing you do, the better you will get at major events, so keep it up.
There have been a handful of kids that competed in Bendigo and have done an awesome job.

Shepparton Meet – 16th November 2019
We will be trying to have a big group going to Shepparton’s Carnival, I think it would be an awesome team experience. Entries Closes the 14th of Nov. so please get your entries in and don’t miss out on a day out having fun and racing at your best.

The reality is, an overwhelming majority of people have no idea what
they are talking about. You will be told numerous times over the
course of your swimming career, that you can’t do something. That
you aren’t talented enough. That your goal is ridiculous. Use their
nay-saying and doubt as fuel, for some epic swimming. While it is
inevitable that the perceived authority of a select number of people
close to you – whether it is a family member, coach, friend – may
have some impact on you, do not allow others to dictate what you
are of. ….. Ever.
We are currently working on Power/Endurance and Speed. So work hard, as you get enough
rest to do it again and again.
