P1 students got off to a fine start for their first field trip to the Rangsit Science Centre for Education. They were all very excited. The museum’s guide explained about the two activities that they were about to do, jelly sand glass and dinosaur jig-saw puzzle. After that we sat down to lunch and gathered up our strength for the last part of the day, to look around the science center and see the dinosaurs, to see how the Earth began and then play around the playground.

Learning is not only four corners of our room. Field trip is a best way of acquiring information and adding knowledge to their life experience. It’s a fabulous day to P.2A-B students. Though it’s cloudy day, but not a hindrance for our trip to BANGKOK AQUARIUM, located Kasetsart University in Bangkok. Students viewed the evolution of Thai marine fishing vessels, Thai traditional fishing gears and native species of freshwater fish and aquatic plants including rare and commercial species. Students went home with a huge smile in their faces.

SWBS organized ESOL exam for young learners of English in collaboration with the Cambridge University. The purpose of this exam is to see the level of our students’ English by an internation-ally recognized exam. The test gives a chance for students to be tested in their ability to learn English intelligently. The test consists of three parts, listening, reading and writing and speaking. You may have a student that has gone by unnoticed due to the student’s reserved nature. The ESOL test caters very well for this as the student will be tested on to one with the examiner in the speaking part.

On 13 July 2011, Engineering Faculty of the King Mongkut In-stitute of Technology Ladkrabang, visited Siriwat to give a semi-nar to our students about the curriculum and teaching in the insti-tute. The seminar included the recruitment of undergraduate stu-dents enrolled in master and doctoral education; students learned that they have the option to prepare for enrollment in the re-quired fields. Professor Sun, Professor Weepu, Senior university students and international program students gave information about how to decide which program is the best for different individuals. We hope it gave our students more enthusiasm about their future career.

On the 16th of June, our M- 1 students went to Muangboran to Visit the Ancient city with Aj. Nettaya (Thai language teacher) and Aj. Pornchai (P.E. teacher). The Ancient City is the door opening to the heritage of Thai wisdom. With a wide range of architectural symbols combined with fine arts and craftsmanship, structural layout and natural environment that integrate harmoniously, The Ancient City creates kind of atmos-phere that induces visitors to perceive and appreciate the continuity of history, cultures, religions, arts and customs of Thai people from dawn.
