5th Foundation Day of Delhi Public
School, Gaya was celebrated on 17th
June in the campus with fun and frolic.
The teachers and the non-teaching staff
got together and put up musical
performances and entertaining acts.
The new joinee members of the DPS
family were heartily welcomed by the
entire school. The principal in his
speech expressed his satisfaction over
the achievement of the school and
encouraged the teachers to work harder
for the development of the school.
Eid, the festival that upholds the spirit of brotherhood
and love was celebrated at Delhi Public School, Gaya on
24th June with lots of joy and devotion. The day turned out to
be a special one with scintillating song and dance sequences
by the kids. The students presented qawalli eulogising the
Almighty and mesmerised everyone.

5th Foundation Day Celebration
Eid Celebration
The School celebrated International Yoga
Day on June 21 2017, in the school premise,
to support the incessant endeavor of our
Honorable Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi
to make the world avail the significance of
yoga in staying physically fit, mentally
balanced and spiritually uplifted. The school
organized a mass yoga demonstration for the
students as well as the teachers.
The students performed various aasanas
followed by Pranayanama and meditation.
The yoga symbol was formed by colourfully
dressed students.
In an endeavor to encourage the students toward
physical and mental fitness, the kids of Delhi Public
School, Gaya participated in Child Yoga Camp held
at Rikhiya Pith Ashram Deoghar from 1st June to
7th June. The students underwent an arduous
exercise to learn mind management and the ways to
lead a healthy life. The yoga trainers explained the
respiratory system that also balances entire neuro-
system of the body. The trainers also taught
different sets of yogas for different ailments.

International Yoga Day
Child Yoga Camp Hindi Poem Recitation
In order to provide a platform to explore and enhance the speaking skills of the children and to boost up their confidence, DPS Gaya organised an Inter House Hindi Poem Recitation Competition for the students of senior wing on 24th June. It inspired children to come forward and recite the poems on the stage. The students came up with different poems and recited with lots of enthusiasm. Diksha from Ashoka house became the winner and secured first rank. Anuja Jha of Buddha house got the second position.
"All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy"Perhaps taking a cue from this centuries old maxim, Delhi Public School Gaya organised Handicraft and
Collage making competition for the kids on 21st of June. The theme of the event was "the best out of waste".
A great enthusiasm was seen among the students during the event. They used a variety of materials to make
different shapes and objects. The motive of this event was to explore the inherent creativity of the students.

Students of DPS Gaya rocked again in ‘29th Bihar State Taekwondo Competition 2017' held in Begusarai. The team bagged 3 Medals including 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze. Aditi Senapati of Class VIII won Gold in below 54 kg category. With this win she has secured her entry in 3rd National Cadet Taekwondo Competition which will be held in July.
Ritika Sharama of Class X won Silver Medal in below 59 kg category and Anurag Kumar Kaushal of Class VII bagged Bronze in below 35 kg category.
Brilliant performance by DPS gaya students in All India Open National
Taekwondo Competition 2017 held in Jaipur from 25th-27th May. The team
representing our state Bihar bagged 5 medals including 1 Gold. Supriya
Sharma of Class X bagged Gold, Hritika Sharma of Class X got Silver
Medal and Aditi Senapati of Class VIII, Jia Singh of Class VI and Rohit Raj
of Class VII got Bronze medals. With this win, the students are qualified for
the trial to represent India in Asian and World Level Competitions.
Delhi Public School Gaya hosted a

Classroom Management, organised
by CBSE, on 24th & 25th June 2017.
The resource persons were Dr.
Jayant V Kulkarni and Dr. Birendra
Kumar.
