Primary Wing Teachers day Assembly
A teacher shapes the form and future of our society. They create building blocks for the
foundation of a nation. A teacher spreads awareness and insight among the future global citizens.
They help us assimilate knowledge, build our skills, become experts in our fields and choose the
best path of success in our lives.
Teachers day is eagerly awaited by both teachers and students as a teacher’s efforts and
dedication is recognised by the students and the students get to show their appreciation and love
for their teachers.
The event began by remembering Dr. S. Radhakrishnan on his birthday. It was followed by a
compilation of poem recitation by our young learners that brought a smile on every teacher’s
face. A cool activity where the students tried to identify their teachers from their old photographs
was conducted. The excitement of our learners was contagious and filled everyone’s hearts with
love. Next, an enjoyable and electrifying quiz was organized based on fun questions about their
school and teachers. There was sheer thrill and delight in the eyes of the youngsters as they tried
to answer the questions. Best wishes and blessings were showered upon our pupils by both their
teachers and honourable Principal Ma’am. Principal Ma’am remembered and thanked her
teachers for all the support they gave her that changed her life for the better. Reminiscing the
time before the lockdown when the laughter of young children filled the air of our school,
Principal Ma’am told the kids how much their smiling faces, hugs and kisses are being missed.
The love and gratitude shown was overwhelming, filling our souls with new vigour and zeal to
move forward.

They are our first mentors, our friends and motivators. Being a teacher is one of the highest
privileges in the world. September 4 was an exhilarating morning for DPSG, SL teachers as their
students welcomed them with vigor and gusto. The lockdown was not able to limit the students
from wearing their hearts on their sleeves to show their love and regard for their teachers. This
year’s Teacher’s Day celebration was not a usual one. Students organized the programme in such
a way that there was never a dull moment. Roopvati, the head girl of the school along with Ishita

Teachers Day Celebration By DPSG Society
Teaching is the greatest act of optimism. - Colleen Wilcox
In the face of grappling situations and toiling work faced by the students,
teachers are the true believers. They see the light at the end of the tunnel and lead their learners step by step which is
truly the greatest act of optimism. But now the time has changed. None of us expected that this year will set about in
such a way. Instead of hands-on teaching with a class full of high spirited ones, the teachers are following their
learning through virtual classroom and keeping in touch through Google Meet sessions, battling background noise
and a whole new set of distractions from learning along the way. Teaching this year is more arduous than it has been
ever before. So to make the gratitude loud and clear DPSG Society organised Virtual Teacher’s Day and Felicitation
Ceremony with full vigour and enthusiasm.
The ceremony set in motion with an affable and amicable welcome by Ms. Ritu Sehgal, followed by the lamp
lighting ceremony by the Hon. Chairman, Mr. Om Pathak. The supple and fluent classical dance performance on
“Guru Brahma Guru Vishu..” and “Jai Shankara..” proliferated smiles and positivity throughout the ceremony. The
Head Boy, Ganesh Shankar and The Head Girl, Srishti Singh of DPSG Sela Qui extended their regards and
appreciated the diligence and endearments the teachers share for the betterment of their students. Various teachers of
DPSG Schools were felicitated for their meritorious years of work and making a difference in students lives. Ms
Usha Rani and Ms. Kavita Dhingra of DOSG SL were also honoured for their diligence. Video compiled with the
videos and photos of students with greeting cards wishing their teachers a ‘Happy Teacher’s Day’ was a moment of
exhilaration for each and everyone present in the ceremony. The ceremony concluded with the sagacious and
enlightened words by the Chairman, Mr Om Pathak, who guided everyone to observe Teachers Day as an inspiration
to walk on the path of Lt. Shri Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan and become like him. He acknowledged the hard work and
sincerity of the teachers towards the successful working of DPSG Schools and making a difference in the lives of the
students.
