It is always a pleasure to greet the CPJ family and others through this column of Newsle�er. This issue of Newsle�er is highligh�ng the academic, cultural and other ac�vi�es at the CPJ campus from July 2015 to December 2015. Since this period coincides with the commencement of the new academic session followed by diverse func�ons and fes�vi�es, there is always an extra enthusiasm that is reflected all through these months. Right from the Orienta�on day to the winter break, this period reflects different flavours at the CPJ campus and sure that this issue shall give a good insight to all these ac�viteis. Sky is the limit at CPJ and we shall endevour to scale.

In the era of Developing Economy of India and Financial Sector opening to the Global World, it has emerged as utmost necessity that the youth of the Na�on be skillfully qualified and equipped with the professional studies. The current decade has witnessed emergence of large number of educa�onal colleges as self financing ins�tu�ons set up by all the segments of business fraternity.

As a sequel to the forgoing ini�a�ve taken by Chanderprabhu Jain College of Higher Studies and School of Law is a pious step by se�ng up a College at Narela for impar�ng higher educa�on in BBA, BCA, B.Com, B.A.LL.B(H) & BBA LL.B(H) programmes for benefit of students par�cularly of the suburban and rural areas.

At CPJ-CHS & School of Law we believe in delivering quality educa�on with constant improvement in the teaching pedagogy. Perhaps one of the best ways to showcase this is to look at the work that the faculty members and the students have produced collec�vely. We consider the publica�on as an effort in this direc�on. The newsle�er will con�nue to bridge the gap between students, faculty members, corporate and academia.

GENESISAn initiative of CPJ-CHS & SoL

CETPAC (Corporate Exposure, Training & Placement Activities' Cell)

CETPAC is the Career Development Cell at CPJ that supports the students in shaping and managing their careers by building key ingredients required for a student to be a complete professional. The cell focuses on building life skills or employability skills through various training programs and an extensive industry connect program ensuring an all round development. These skills improve the chances of placements for students and also help in developing professional a�ributes for succeeding in their careers.

CEPDEV (Cell for Personality Development)

The cut-throat compe��on in today's world necessitates that a student gradua�ng out from the college has just not gained educa�onal knowledge but has also groomed his/ her personality in order to give a s�ff compe��on to others and emerge as a winner. CEPDEV aims at enhancing the oral, verbal and vocal skills of CPJ students and as such, the students undergo extensive training sessions, lectures and workshops in Personality Development Programs that not only strengthen skills like cri�cal thinking, public speaking, group communica�on, nego�a�on, conflict resolu�on, note taking and technical wri�ng but also boost their basic communica�on, comprehensive and analy�cal skills.

CEFT (Cell Monitoring Educational & Fun Trips)

The college duly understands the importance of excursions and educa�onal/ Industrial trips that not only educate the students but also inculcate a feeling of oneness and belonging to the CPJ Family. CEFT plans and organizes Outbound Trips/Tours that are excursions cum educa�onal trips not only to des�na�ons within India but also to Off-shore loca�ons as well.

CECPRO (Cell for Certification Programs)

CPJ College believes in the philosophy of imparting not just education but also technical and professional expertise to its students. CECPRO aims to work in this direction wherein Certi�cation programs are to be conducted in collaboration with leading Institutes from India and abroad. CECPRO shall also enable establish a broad framework for collaborative academic, technical and professional programs and experiential learning opportunities for the faculty and students of both the Institutes.

Also, in order to make our students acclimatize with other International languages, CECPRO shall also facilitate Foreign Language Courses in French, German and Spanish to its students within the college campus.

CPJ-CHS & School of Law organized orienta�on program for the newly admi�ed students in the Auditorium of the ins�tute on September 1st 2015. The major objec�ve of the program was to make the students aware of the academic aspects of the course and the rules & regula�ons of the Ins�tute. The orienta�on program began with ceremony of Lamp Lightening by the Dignitaries of the ins�tu�on. Freshers were given a warm welcome with song presented by Nikshubha (student). The fresher's were introduced by the Dean, Management, Mr. Ajit Kumar which was followed by a detailed presenta�on on insight of

the college & its achievements, results, placements, cultural ac�vi�es which was presented by Ms. Hema and Ms. Gunjan (Assistant Professors). The program then proceeded by alumni speech and ques�on answer round by Mr. Yugank Chaturvedi, Director-Placement & Corporate Affairs. Lastly, a mo�va�ng speech was given by Dr. D.C. Agrawal, Director- Academics to the students for their bright future and wished them good luck.

Mr. Yugank Chaturvedi Sharing His Views

CPJ-CHS & School of Law organized a Faculty Development Program on 22nd August 2015. Mr.Yugank Chaturvedi (Director-Placement & Corporate Affairs) was the speaker of the day. He shared his invaluable views and experiences regarding the importance of good mentorship in the life of Faculty and how it can be developed in the course of �me. He explained that, no body is born as a mentor but anybody can be a good mentor by improving his Domain and inculca�ng Generic skills. Majority of people are good in their domain but they lack in generic skills which is the most important factor.

It includes Thought Process, Communica�on, Analy�cal, and Oral skills. There is a need to work out in these areas. Moreover, there should be proper combina�on of Communica�on Skill, A�tude and Posi�ve Energy in the cult of a faculty which builds the charisma�c personality that impacts the students in a posi�ve way. He also focused on the importance of reading which enhances the Analy�cal skill and confidence level of the person and enriches him towards perfec�on. He said that, learning is never an ending process. You can learn �ll the end of life and there is no restric�on of age or gender. One must open himself or herself to learn, update, informed and aware them self about the surroundings.

Guest Lecture on “Sales Process: An Overview” by Mr. Amit Malik

A Guest Lecture was organized at CPJ-CHS & School of Law on 9th September, 2015 for the students of management. The Speaker of the Guest lecture was Mr. Amit Malik who is Brand Development Execu�ve at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL). The event started with a welcome speech by Prof. (Dr.) D.C. Agrawal (Director-Academics) and a bouquet presented by Mr S.K. Mohla (Chief Administra�ve Officer).

Mr. Amit Malik discussed the various marke�ng strategies that are being used by HUL and also emphasized on the importance of sales process for any organiza�on. He tried to inculcate marke�ng skills among the students. In the end, Ms. Deepmala Jain (HOD-Management Department) gave vote of thanks to the speaker for sparing his valuable �me for upgrading knowledge & awareness of the students. Prof. (Dr.) D.C. Agrawal, Director-Academics presented a memento to Mr. Malik as a token of gra�tude and remembrance.

Guest Lecture on “Android Application” by Mr. Rahul Sharma

A Guest Lecture on the “Applica�ons of Android” was organized on 16th September, 2015 by the CPJ-CHS & School of Law. The guest lecture was a�ended by all first year students of BCA and BBA (CAM).

The lecture started with warm welcome of Guest Speaker Mr. Rahul Sharma (Lio Technologies Ltd.). At the outset, he introduced himself and then proceeded the session with the introduc�on of upgrada�on of technology. Further he explained how android is helpful and how it is being made. He also demonstrated an applica�on of calculator. Students gathered around enjoyed the session.

A Personality Development programme on “Generic Skills” was organized by CPJ-CHS & School of Law on the 9th October, 2015 in college premises. The key speaker for the lecture was Mr. Yugank Chaturvedi (Director-Placement & Corporate Affairs). An introduc�on to the Skill Development for first year students of BBA, BBA (CAM), B.Com(H) & BCA was given, which included an overview of GENESIS. It was an ini�a�ve to impart skill an introduc�on to CEPDEV-a cell of development in students. This presenta�on included GENESIS.

CPJ-CHS & School of Law organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “Marke�ng Driven Organiza�ons” on 14th October, 2015 for the students of BBA and B.Com(H). The College invited eminent Professor (Dr.) Ajay Pandit- Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi University. The guest was welcomed by Mr. Yugank Chaturvedi (Director-Placement & Corporate Affairs). The speaker started his presenta�on with the concept of marke�ng as the philosophy that, firms should analyze the needs of their customers. He also focused on the tools of marke�ng which are used by many organiza�ons to capture market. He elaborated lot of examples in support of the topic. The session was interac�ve and interes�ng for the students. At the end, Ms. Gunjan Seth, Assistant Professor, presented vote of thanks.

Intra College Coding Competition

CPJ-CHS & School of Law organized a Coding Compe��on for students of BCA Final Year in computer Lab on 14th Oct 2015. The topic of compe��on was Coding in Visual basics.net. Ms. Anu Aujla, Ms. Ritu Malik and Ms. Vidhi Sood involved in organizing of this compe��on. Total 51 students par�cipated in compe��on. The first prize was won by Mr. Naveen and second prize by Mr. Bhaskar. Such types of events inculcate the compe��ve spirit in students which s�mulates their learning & crea�vity and enable them to give their best in this compe��ve world.

CPJ-CHS & School of Law organized a Faculty Development Programme on “Taxa�on Law” on 17th October, 2015 in the college premises. The guest speakers for the FDP were Mr. Vipin Garg, (Senior Chartered Accountant) and Mr. Gourav, (Chartered Accountant). The programme was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) D.C. Agrawal, Director-Academics who welcomed the guests. Ms. Deepmala Jain (HOD, Mgmt.) and Ms. Neeta Beri (Dean, Law) felicitated the guests and presented bouquet to them. As the event proceeded, Mr. Vipin Garg delivered the presenta�on on various taxa�on laws in India. He focused mainly on Income Tax laws in order to inform the faculty members about various income tax provisions in India. The guests also shared the informa�on about “TAXMITR”, which is a venture promoted by VGNC to exclusively serve the individuals in their personal accoun�ng, financial planning and tax compliance. The guests also conducted a ques�on answer session and a�ended all the income tax related queries of faculty members.

IT-Presentation Skill Competition

Presenta�on skills and public speaking skills are very useful in many aspects of work and life. Effec�ve presenta�on and public speaking skills are important in business, sales and selling, training, teaching and lecturing. Keeping the same in mind, CPJ-CHS & School of Law organized an IT-Presenta�on Skill Compe��on for the students of BCA-V Semester on 21st October, 2015. Students showed their presenta�on skills by delivering their views on latest technology and up-grada�on in IT Sector. Students gave presenta�on in a group of 3 to 4 members. The criteria for judgment of par�cipants were the presenta�on and delivery, facial and body gestures, use of eye-contact, relaxed stance, contents of presenta�on etc. The Winners of the event were declared by Mr. Yugank Chaturvedi (Director-Placement & Corporate Affairs). First prize won by Sachin Kumar Jha while second prize secured by Shubham Saxena.

Debate is one of the academic ac�vi�es that give students crea�ve room to express what they feel. The length and breadth of knowledge that they gain through this is simply unparalleled. Intra College Debate compe��on on “Mind Speak” was held on 26th October, 2015. The students debated on the topic “Clean India: A�tude change is more important than the movement”.

The compe��on was adjudged by Dr. Nisha Jindal, Mr. Sunil Kumar & Ms. Sonia Goswami. All the 5 teams were well prepared and they

used various skills like overstatement, defini�on, irony etc. The par�cipants, armed with sta�s�cs and data made their arguments more empha�c with their righteous facial expressions, body movement and gestures. Shivi Jain & Sakshi Garg, students from BBA-I semester was declared the winners. The second posi�on was bagged by Ujjwal Jain & Yashvi Khera, BBA(CAM)-I semester. Navdha Mehra, (BBA CAM)-I Semester was declared as the Best Debator.

Guest Lecture on “Robotics” by Mr. Vihari G

CPJ-CHS & School of Law organized a Guest lecture on the topic “Robo�cs” on 28th October, 2015 for the students of BCA and BBA-CAM. The key speaker for the lecture was Mr.Vihari G, Senior Research Analyst. The guest was welcomed by Mr. Ajit Kumar (Dean, Management & IT). Ms. Neha Mi�al (Head of the IT Department) presented a bouquet in honor of the guest speaker. Introduc�on to the domain of “ROBOTICS” was given to students of BCA and BBA (CAM) by Mr. Vihari who also d e m o n s t ra t e d t h e origin and future of Robo�cs to students and made them aware about the working and scope in this field.

Students ac�vely par�cipated in the lecture and raised the queries. The en�re dura�on of Guest Lecture included elabora�on on Robo�cs which is the branch of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronic engineering and computer science that deals with the design, construc�on, opera�on, and applica�on of robots, as well as computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and informa�on processing. The session ended with a vote of thanks by Ms. Anjali Sharma.

CPJ-CHS & School of Law organized an Intra College IT Collage Compe��on on 29th October, 2015 at the College Auditorium. It was a day where we saw crea�vity exploding in every piece of art. It exhibited a wonderful opportunity for students to think out of box. Hon'ble Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi has envisioned transforming the na�on and crea�ng opportuni�es for all ci�zens by harnessing digital technologies. His vision is to empower every ci�zen with access to digital services, knowledge and informa�on. Keeping in mind the current relevance of the Digital India concept, IT Collage compe��on was organized to encourage the crea�ve mindset of the students. There were total five teams and each team comprised three members. They were judged on the basis of crea�vity, relevance & overall presenta�on. First posi�on was secured by BCA I semester team comprised of Ajay,

CPJ-CHS & School of Law organized a workshop on the topic “BSE- Mandate and Investor Protec�on” on 30th October, 2015 for BBA(1st year) and B.COM (1st year) students.

The College invited Mr. H.K Awasthi- Legal Advisor, Consumer Voice Society and Mr. Suraj Prakash- Faculty, Delhi University. The guest were honored by Prof.(Dr.) D.C Agrawal (Director-Academics) and Ms. Deepmala Jain- (HOD-Management). The session started with the concept of Investment in share market. The speaker focused on the importance of investment in our life and why should one invest in share markets. He highlighted some sources of investment. CPJ-CHS & School of Law organized a Guest Lecture on the topic “Retail Management” on 2nd November, 2015 for the students of BBA and B.COM (H). The College invited Mr. Vikas Choudhary (ASM, Woodland) as a guest speaker to deliver the topic. The guest was honored by Mr. Yugank Chaturvedi (Director- Corporate Affairs). The lecture was all about the Retail Management which is a process of promo�ng sales through customer sa�sfac�on by gaining a be�er understanding of the customers. He delivered the topic with prac�cal examples of Woodland. The session was interac�ve and interes�ng for the students as each concept was explained through prac�ces followed in Woodland. CPJ-CHS & School of Law organized a two day workshop on” Autonomous Robo�cs” on 4th and 5th November, 2015 by Technoxian Globacom Pvt. Ltd associated with Entrepreneurship Development Cell IIT Delhi for BCA students. The guest was welcomed by Mr.Deepak Sharma (IT-Faculty). The Workshop was divided in five sessions. The first Session included Introduc�on of Robots in which various videos regarding crea�on & working has been displayed. The second session included the Assembling of Robo�c Kit which was given to the group of four students to assemble by using various components .The third session included the overview of Programming in Controllers using Embedded "C" language. The fourth session included Rou�ng of Vehicle according to the Sensor and the programmed controller while in the last session of the event a compe��on was held amongst different teams from which five students were selected and given opportunity to par�cipate in Interna�onal Robo�c League to be organized at IIT Delhi.

Extempore Competition

An Extempore Compe��on was held on 2nd September, 2015 in the auditorium at CPJ-CHS & school of Law. Various current issues were given to the students, like “Should Capital Punishment Abolished”, “Corrup�on in India”, “Jus�ce Delayed is Jus�ce Denied”, “Media Trial”, “Female Fe�cide”, “Are Women Safe in India”, “Is Reserva�on Jus�fied”, “Whether Women are Safe in India”. The par�cipants were given the issues randomly and they spoke on these issues for 3-4 minutes. The winners of the Extempore Compe��on were Kri�, Shubhangi & Chaitanya.

As a part of B.A.LL.B (H) & BBA LL.B (H) syllabus requirement, court visit to Rohini District Court, Delhi was conducted for a period of six days from 6th October, 2015 to 13th October: 2015.The permission was taken for a batch of 40 students each in six batches in various courts located at Rohini Court Complex. The permission regarding the same was obtained from the Registrar General, Delhi High Court, New Delhi. Students gained knowledge and awareness of judicial proceedings from the visit.

A Group discussion was organized on the topic “Should we pursue our policy of dialogue with Pakistan” by CPJ-CHS & School of Law on 16th October, 2015 in the Auditorium of the college. Total 31 students from law department par�cipated in the same. The principal, School of law Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Singh delivered the welcome address and expressed his views on the topic and encouraged the Students. Mr. Yugank Chaturvedi (Director, Placement and Corporate Affairs) also shared his views on the topic. As a part of syllabus, court visits for B.A.LL.B & BBA LL.B Students were organized for a period of Six days from 17/11/2015 to 24/11/2015.The permission was taken for a batch of 40 students each in six batches in various courts located at Rohini Court Complex. The permission was also taken for a batch of 50 students each in six batches in various courts located at Delhi High Court Campus by the Registrar General, Delhi High Court, New Delhi on 18/09/2015. The Na�onal legal services authority Delhi State Legal Services Authority organized Na�onal Lok Adalat in District Court, Rohini, on 12th December, 2015 for se�ling the pending ma�ers through media�on . Students and Facu l ty Members of CPJ-CHS & School of Law par�cipated in the same to have a fi r s t h a n d u n d e r s t a n d i n g o f t h e func�oning of Na�onal Lok Adalats. Jawaharlal Nehru on the eve of India's Independence. We pay homage to countless freedom fighters as we celebrate the 68th Independence Day. With the advent of the month of August, all of us are filled with a zeal and enthusiasm to express feeling of unity and secularism as we par�cipate in the celebra�ons of Independence day of our country. The students and teachers, of CPJ-CHs & school of Law worked with great zeal and celebrated Independence Day-August 15th, 2015 at the college premises interspersed with music and patrio�c songs, sung melodiously by the students. The programme started with the unfurling of the tri color by Cpjians. Valuable words, highligh�ng the

great struggle of the freedom fighters of our na�on, were delivered by the dignitaries of the college. It ended with the Na�onal Anthem and sweet distribu�on.

Janmashtami Celebration

The fes�val of Janmashtami was celebrated in CPJ-CHS & School of Law on 4th September, 2015 with great enthusiasm. CPJ fraternity put up a fes�ve environment by organizing the birth day of Lord Krishna with full vigour. There were various compe��ons held in the college premises, like stage decora�on, Matki Decora�on and Poster making compe��on in which various teams of students par�cipated.

It started with the lightening of lamp in front of the idols of Lord Krishna and Goddess Saraswa�. The speech of Hon'ble Dr. Sanjay Singh (Principal-School of Law) enlightened the student's thoughts.

Mr. S.K Mohla (Chief Administra�ve Officer) also graced the occasion with his speech. Further, the students par�cipated in the singing, skit and dance performances. The results of compe��ons held on the Janmashtami were announced. The prizes and cer�ficates to the I, II and III winning teams were given by dignitaries of our college. The par�cipants of compe��ons were also mo�vated by giving them par�cipa�on cer�ficates. The whole environment looked like as if the college was dipped in the colors of Rainbow.

Teacher's day is celebrated every year throughout the country on 5th September. Students express their gra�tude and apprecia�on for their teachers on this day. This day is dedicated to Hon'ble Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan., second president of India a�er Independence. A remarkable func�on on the eve of teachers' day was organized on 4th September 2015 in the college .The func�on commenced with Saraswa� Vanadana and ligh�ng of lamp to seek the blessing from Goddess Sarasw� and a speech of Prof. (Dr.)Sanjay Singh (Principal- School of Law) and address by (Dr.) Neeta Beri (Dean-School of Law). Mr. Yugank Chaturvedi, Director, (Placement & Corporate Affairs) enlightened all and said that the teachers give light to students and they dispel the darkness and ignorance in and around us. Marking respect and reverence, the entertainment was geared up to the next level with the felicita�on of the Teaching and Non teaching staff with Titles, Gi�s and a Le�er of Apprecia�on for their marked performance with the Ins�tute. The event was followed by a Jam Session for the facul�es and the staff members, which showed some surprising hidden talent inside our facul�es who danced merrily.

The 19th September was marked as a memorable day in the life of every fresher at CPJ-CHS & School of Law. The fresher's day was a day that was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness. The Fresher's Party began with the ceremony of Lamp Lightening by the dignitaries of the ins�tu�on. Dr. D.C Agrawal (Director-Academics) addressed the freshers with his enlightened speech. He introduced the students with many aspects of their upcoming college life. “Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Singh (Principal, School of Law) welcomed the students to the event and wished them all the luck for their journey during their five years ahead” A Compe��on of Mr. and Ms. Freshers of CPJ was held amongst 1st year students which included three rounds. First round was Red carpet round which was ramp walk and introduc�on round. A�er that round 10 students were shortlisted and they were asked to show their talents in the second round. In the last round 6 students were shortlisted and were asked a few ques�ons by the judges. Navadha of BBA(CAM) I -Semester and Ja�n Sharma of B.COM I-Semester were declared Ms. fresher and Mr. fresher respec�vely. A skit was also presented on “college life”. Students presented the different phases of their college life they experience during the college tenure. The event also included various games, the students of first year were asked to perform push up etc. The fresher's party concluded with Jam Session. The whole program was enjoyed by the students.

Diwali is celebrated na�on-wide on Amavasya in the month of Kar�ka every year. It symbolizes that age-old culture of India which teaches to vanquish ignorance that subdues humanity and to drive away darkness that engulfs the light of knowledge.

Diwali, the fes�val of lights even to-day in this modern world projects the rich and glorious past of India.It is dedicated to the triumph of goodness over evil and knowledge over ignorance. It honours the goddess of wealth, Lakshmi and the legend of Rama and Sita. Fes�vi�es include decora�ng houses and public spaces with thousands of ligh�ng, candles and colorful designs.

The students and facul�es of CPJ-CHS & School of Law celebrated Diwali Carnival-2015 with exuberance on Monday, the 9th November, 2015. Headed by the cultural commi�ee of the ins�tute and supported by the students, they inundated the ambiance of the surrounding in ar�s�c fervor.

The celebra�on began with 'Ligh�ng of Lamp' by Guest of Honour, Mr Ravinder Singh, ACP & Sh. Jai Prakash, SHO, Narela besides all the senior func�onaries of college. The days' events began with Rangoli compe��on witnessing the aesthe�c and designer skills of young management professionals depic�ng some meaningful message related to fes�val of lights. There were off stage events such as Art from Waste, Poster Making, Stage Decora�on and Culinary Show where par�cipants displayed their crea�vity & fes�ve spirit. Onstage events comprised of Ul�mate Draamebaaz, Drama�x, Lets Rock, Jazz up the floor Haute Couture.

On Stage events commenced with Lets Rock, Jazz up the floor, where dance performances by students were beau�fully presented, solo as well as in groups. It was followed by the crea�ve ac�vity and spontaneous ac�vity of Drama�x where Nukkad Nataks with social messages were presented by students. Ul�mate Draamebaaz was a treat to watch where stand up acts were presented by students. The gathering enjoyed musical performances both singing and instrumental and they were grooved to rocking and melodious performances by Beat Boxers and Rock band “Abith”

The star a�rac�ons of the day was Haute Couture-Fashion show, it had a theme of Halloween and Journey of Bollywood which saw contribu�on from students not only in the form of zealous par�cipa�on but also energized audiences.

The event concluded with prize and cer�ficate Distribu�on ceremony by digni�es where winners of each event were awarded with par�cipa�on and mementos as a token of apprecia�on and encouragement.

There were the consecu�ve Industrial visits organized by CPJ-CHS & School of Law for the second year students of BBA (CAM) & BCA on 15th September, 2015 and for the students of BBA First year on 17th & 18th September, 2015.

Industrial visits were held in Yakult Danone India Pvt. Ltd. Rai, Sonepat. First of all, a presenta�on was given by the manager of the company which was about their plant as well as the history of the Yakult. This drink was first introduced in Japan in 1935 and later l a u n c h e d i n t h e overseas markets . Basically, Yakult is a del ic ious probio�c

drink that helps to improve diges�on and build immunity. Yakult Danone is a joint venture of two countries Japan and France where Yakult from Japan and Danone from France. A�er the presenta�on, they showed the industrial plant to the students viz, seed room, fermenta�on room, moulding room, packaging & labeling room, refrigera�on etc. Students raised the ques�ons which were clarified by company officials.

Acquiescence from the management of Parle-G Industries, Bahadurgarh, Haryana paved the way for Industrial Visit of the BBA(CAM), BCA and B.Com(H)1st Year students of Management stream of CPJ-CHS & School of Law on 8th and 9th October, 2015. The students were accompanied by faculty members- Mr. Sachin, Ms. Anu Aujlan, Ms. Ruchi Arora and Mr. Amit. They were welcomed by members of Parle-G and elaborated about the details of the company. It was a useful experience and students gained a lot in terms of understanding management philosophy & prac�ce of a well established and renowned company.

CPJ-CHS & School of Law organized an industrial trip to visit Mother Dairy manufacturing plant in Patparganj on 26th October, 2015 for the students of BBA Final Year. Mr. Ashok Verma (Factory Opera�ons Manager) gave a presenta�on related to the history of Mother Dairy Plant. He explained students about the white revolu�on and primi�ve and newer modes of milk collec�on and distribu�on. Further, a small documentary film of Mother Dairy Plant was shown, which depicted the process of milk produc�on. The process is totally automated and is globally designed keeping in mind the hygiene standards. Trip to Manali

An Excursion Trip to Manali was organized for the students of CPJ-CHS & School of Law from 4th to 8th November, 2015.A group of 36 students and 3 faculty members along with Trip Co-ordinator le� Delhi for Manali on 4th November in a Volvo Bus. Manali is a hill sta�on nested in the mountains of the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh near the northern end of the Kullu Valley. Students were very excited for this tour. The group reached Manali on 5th November, 2015 in the morning. The students enjoyed their steaming breakfast at the Royal Grand Resort and went for sight-seeing in the evening at Hadimba Temple and Vashisht Temple. A DJ night was in which students par�cipated and enjoyed. Next morning, they le� for Trekking at Rohtang Pass, and enjoyed the snow covered hills through trek. On the way back to Resort, they went to Club House, where

they enjoyed playing games like Badminton, Snooker etc. Next day students went for cannoning and also did shopping at Mall Road, followed by Lunch at the Resort. On 7th November, they le� for Delhi.

A Pre Placement Session on “An Ini�a�ve of CETPAC" (A cell of GENESIS) organized on 29th October, 2015 in college premises. Mr.Yugank Chaturvedi (Director -Corporate Affairs) was the speaker of the day. In lieu of First Campus Placement for Session 2015-2016, a Pre –Placement Session for the final year students of BBA, BBA (CAM), B.Com(H) & BCA was given. Corporate Exposure Training & Placement Ac�vity Cell (CETPAC) is a cell of GENESIS which focuses on Training & Placement for the students. Placement Drive by Concentrix

CPJ-CHS & School of Law organized a Pool Campus Placement drive by Concentrix for the final year students of BBA, BBA(CAM) & BCA in the college premises on 3rd November,2015. Mr. Varun & Ms. Komal represented the company and conducted the placement ac�vity. First round was on basic to check the students accent and dic�on where they were asked to talk about a recent topic, followed by telephonic round to check their communica�on skills. The last round was a wri�en ap�tude test which tested the students on the basis of reasoning, English grammar and general knowledge. Seventy four students were Selected. Out of which seventy from CPJ-CHS & School of Law and rest 4 students are from other colleges. Concentrix welcomed all the shortlisted candidates for its forth coming training and development.

Inter College Sports Meet Organized by GGSIPU

GGSIPU organized its sports meet at university sports ground from 29th October to 31st October 2015. All the affiliated colleges of GGSIPU par�cipated in different events. Our college par�cipated in Football, Volleyball, Tug of War, Long Jump, Race, Weight li�ing and Chess. Student of our college, Abhijeet from BBA 3rd year won first rank in 800m race and second rank in 400m race. Rishabh Tyagi from B.Com(H) 3rd year got second rank in weight li�ing. We lost Football match in second round in penalty shootout and also Volleyball match in second round.

Camp Organized for Physically Challenged

CPJ-CHS & School of Law has been contribu�ng in educa�on field excellently and has followed other paths also to serve the society and country by associa�ng itself with the organiza�ons contribu�ng for helpless and deprived people. In this order, a camp for physically challenged was organized in commemora�on of Sh. Naresh Chand Kagazi on 18/10/2015 at Shradha Sadan, Has�napur free of cost by Tarun Mitra Council of Delhi, an ins�tu�on contribu�ng for social services. Secretary General of the council Mr. Ashok Jain said that with the coopera�on and innate support of Ms. Mridula and Mr. Osho Jain, the 24th Camp for physically challenged organized successfully, in which 7 Calipers and Crutches were distributed

to the physically challenged students along with 3 Polio inflicted pa�ent operated on 6/10/2015 so that these students could walk easily and comfortably on their feet and a�end their school by their own. On this event Sh. Subhash Chandra Jain Kagazi, Chairman of CPJ College and eminent social worker said that Tarun Mitra Council is doing a commendable job in the area of social service and the contribu�on of Smt. Shashi Jain, Sh. P.R. Yadav, and Sh. Mayank Jain was also worth admiring.

Social Activities

On 7th Nov. 2015, Parents Teacher's Mee�ng was conducted. Overall 100 parents a�ended the mee�ng. Parents appreciated the ini�a�ve of the college and requested to have more such interac�ons as it help in i m p r o v i n g t h e performance of their wards. Some parents even suggested that stricter guidelines for regular a�endance of students in classes should be enforced by

the college management and even penalty may be imposed on students for not a�ending classes and college ac�vi�es. Mee�ng ended with good outcome.

Annual Journal “CPJ Global Review”

Bi-annual CPJ “Newsletter”

The CPJ Newsle�er is a bi-annual publica�on which includes various Events, Fests, Faculty Development Programs, Industrial visits, Seminars, Conferences and par�cipa�on in intra-college as well as inter-college ac�vi�es by the students and for the students. The students of Chanderprabhu Jain College of Higher Studies & School of Law par�cipated in Rakesh Memorial Na�onal debate compe��on organized by Ideal Ins�tute of Management and Technology & School of Law, Karkardooma, New Delhi 110092 college on the topic “Death Penalty : A True Punishment or an Easy Escape” on 22nd September, 2015. Our college was represented by Ms. Shubhangi and Ms. Yogita Jain, students of B.A.LL.B V semester. Out of the par�cipants of 33 colleges, the par�cipants from our college were declared second Runner up and their efforts were appreciated by the judges.
