Youth Activity Spotlight (March 2013)

Youth Connections ran their second afternoon of the Cue Sports

program on Wednesday the 13th of March, with a group of four

young people from the Mount Isa Flexible Learning Centre school.

The session started with Youth Connections mentor and Cue Sports

Coach Joshua Hart, showing the boys how to pot all 15 balls, one

after the other, using a ‘line up’ practice routine.

The boys then practiced their stance and alignment before playing

two 1-on-1 games of Pool to test their skills.

Activities on the horizon.

We are planning a Young Mens Group for 14-18 year olds that explores how we develop

our identity and what it means to become a man, a husband and a father.

We are also planning to run an activity called the Mad Hatter Challenge, where participant
