Community Notices
Esk District Under 10
The Toogoolawah Tigers travelled to Ha onv
ale to take on Glenore Grove in steamy condi ons.
Captain Cooper Hughes won the toss and sent Glenore Grove into bat.
Our bowling has improved a er a few weeks of bowling prac ce and it really showed with the Tigers keeping Glenore Grove to 5‐134. Our wicket takers were Louis 2‐13 and a runout, Cooper 1‐7, Paul 1‐24 and Ben 1‐8. The Tigers were impressive in the field chasing the ball and backing each other up.
The Tigers were confident of chasing down the total and couldn’t have started any be er with, Man of the Match, Ben Jardine hi ng the first three balls for 4. Ben had a field day amassing his personal best of 41 runs. Billy was great support with his 14 runs. Louis scored an impressive 23 runs ba ng at three. The middle order of Jai (1), Brodie (4), Paul (2) and Dean (4) kept us on track. Special men on to Paul whose defence was rock solid against the opposi on’s best bowler. Joe (14) and Cooper (28) finished with a flourish. The teams were on tenderhooks awai ng the scorer’s verdict.
Unbelievably the Tigers finished with 5‐133, just one run behind Glenore Grove.
Once again the spirit in which this match was played was outstanding.
Next week is our last game before the Christmas break
