Great changes in Adopt a Club by Mortson B Kasoma
Division two, just two steps to
Premier League.
Our many boys and girls have
completed school within the
morals of Adopt a club as well
as seeing many of them been
called for positions in higher
teams.
We have started revamping
some of the bad pitches to
building them into safe pitch-
es for our youth and sur-
rounding communities. The
list would go on! To sum it all,
we didn’t see the staircase,
we just took the first step and
looking behind, we realise
we have moved more steps
and getting to the top.
(connues on page 2)
Adopt a Club has always be-
lieved that the secret of
change is to focus all of your
energy, not on fighting the
old, but on building the new.
We have had a lot of success
in the past which we can
boast of now as well as chal-
lenges that we need not hold
on to but press on to a bright-
er future.
We have successfully created
the first Dream League in
Ndola, which this year has
grown to more than 20 teams.
We have adopted more than
10 clubs, which are now run-
ning independent of our eve-
ryday support, and have been
enabled to run efficiently with
minimal supervision from us.
We have not only affected
change in our home town but
extended that change to other
towns as well. We have influ-
enced one of the girls’ teams,
the Evergreen, to enter into
the Copperbelt Football Asso-
ciation of Zambia, FAZ
league. One of the first adopt-
ed teams, Superade, has been
given yet a slot in the Football
Association of Zambia, FAZ
league and is now playing in

Simon Linde with some of our players, in 2012
a big contrast from what we are used to in
Denmark.
Living in Dream House was a really good
base where nothing was missing. Here
we had a good foundation for
preparation and relaxing. It was
also nice to live next to such a
warm and helpful family that we
got to know really well. It was
sad to leave Zambia but we got
home with a feeling of having
done something good and with
so many new great experiences
that can help us in our future.
Dream Factory is definitely re-
commendable!

we have the Dream League running on
fine, probably the best in the whole Cop-
perbelt region, we have the Dream Cup
set for the last quarter of the year, we are
adopting further clubs to
include in our other success-
ful clubs, we have volunteers
coming to help in the train-
ing activities, notably, the
founder of Adopt a Club,
Simon Linde from Denmark
is coming to Zambia in july/
august to help us even fur-
ther.
We are so proud of you, the
reader, the supporter, that
have been on board and you
can be sure that this year will
further produce more suc-
cess stories than ever told!
You do more than just exist.
You are here for a reason
and Adopt a Club needs
YOU! Thank you.
The work could have seemed a challenge
at first but now, its fruits continue encour-
aging us to do more because
we now know that smart and
hard work will always yield
results.
Yes, there has been chal-
lenges along the way, among
them, the transportation of
players from one point to
another, having players
playing without boots due to
non-availability of affordable
boots, having some youth
drop out of school due to
lack of sponsorship and in-
deed, not finding employ-
ment for those that do man-
age to complete high school.
Just because some events in
the past did not turn out like
we wanted it to, it doesn’t mean
(connued from page 1) our future can’t be better than we’ve ever
imagined. Every single day has always
given Adopt a Club another chance to
improve on its activities and just this year,

Volunteer story by Sofie and Mathilde
Our stay in Zambia with Dream Factory
has been so life affirming. We stayed in
Dream House for (five) 5 weeks and we
came home with so many new experi-
ences and memories!
It’s amazing to see how happy you
can make other people by doing
simple things. During our stay we
helped at different projects such as
teaching in physical education and
art at the Buyantanshi Community
School, helping at the Isubilo com-
munity center and teaching kids in
Art Class. Furthermore, we also
visited the Girls transient home in
Twapia every Saturday. It made
our day to see the girls run happily
towards us as we entered the gate
to the transient home, and to see
how happy and excited the pupils
got when they found out that we were
going to teach them.
Besides working at the projects, we got to
see parts of the Zambian culture, which is

the pictures, we had a great day during
the micro-loan giving which was combi-
ned with graduation for previously empo-
wered women and the day went on as
planned. The day was a major motivation
for the women from this year, seeing their
friends graduating with full of testimonies
on how they had improved in their busi-
nesses, development with their Christi-
an life and their home improvements.
2015 women have a lot of plans and some
of them have already started yielding
results. Among the projects include the
rearing of chickens and knitting pro-
grams wherein others have specialised in
knitting door mats. We believe that this
year shall be the year of abundant bles-
sings.
This department really appreciate the so
many people that have always come to
our help and we pray that God will richly
bless them abundantly.
We are so grateful about how God is re-
creating this great with women Empower-
ment project since the year 2013 to 2015.
This Department is receiving more favour
from God and we are so grateful for that.
The project is experiencing new Deve-
lopments and has great plans for the futu-
re. Special things are indeed happening.
Since Dream Factory started empower-
ment women in 2013, 60 women have so
far directly benefited from the project.
This interven-
tion has made
enormous
changes in
this poor com-
munity,
Nkwazi
Township.
Going by Pro-
verbs 19:17, if
you help the
poor, you are
lending to the
lord. And He
(God) will
repay you.

Iben, Linette and Iben
(volunteers 2014) After 3 months as volunteers, we can
warmly recommend Dream Factory, Zam-
bia. We have participated in many diffe-
rent projects. We helped to start an Art
Group for children in Nkwazi township,
we arranged a football club for girls, we
taught athletics at Buyantanshi School and
played with 20 girls at an orphanage. All
projects have taught us a lot and made a
great impression on us.
Personally, we have learned to be bold
enough to be independent in a foreign
culture and stand in front of foreigners to
present our thoughts and ideas. It is great
to be aware that others appreciate your
presence and that you are making a diffe-
rence for orphans and vulnerable chil-
dren in a developing country.
As a volunteer with Dream Factory, Zam-
bia you have the added bonus that social
work can be combined with adventure. It
has not only been work, but we have also
had some exciting excursions. We had a
safari trip to South Luangwa game park,
where we enjoyed watching the fantastic
African wild life.
We have been living in the new Dream
House. We have been very happy for this
base from where we could prepare for
the work in the projects and relax. When
you are a volunteer in Dream Factory,
Zambia, you experience a completely
different culture. You learn to think very
creatively and always contemplate a plan
B or C, you move your borders, you make
a difference, you experience new things
and you have a great time.
If you consider becoming a volun-
teer with us, find out more infor-
mation at our website, and do not
hesitate to contact us.
