New Brunswick police directorblames Rutgersfest music festival

for mayhemPublished: Saturday, April 16, 2011, 7:52 PM Updated: Saturday, April 16,2011, 8:48 PM

NEW BRUNSWICK New Brunswicks police director

admonished Rutgers University officials today after the schools

annual Rutgersfest ended Friday night with two shootings, five

injuries and eleven arrests for disorderly conduct in the area

    surrounding the Rutgers campus.

Police Director Pete Mangarella called the annual day-long free

event, featuring games, rides and a concert, "the worst thing of

the year for the city of New Brunswick." He added that the

incidents "were the worst we have seen" in the history of the

    event.

"We were trying to get the university to curtail this last year,"

Mangarella said. "The citys concerns over this event are falling ondeaf ears."

Though none of the incidents happened on Rutgers campus, law

enforcement officials said the popular event, which drew an

estimated 40,000 to 50,000 people to a concert featuring hip-hop

artists Pitbull and Yelawolf and electronic-pop act 3OH!3, was the

    cause of the late-night mayhem.

University officials said they had meetings with New Brunswick

Police before the event and beefed up security in an attempt to

    provide greater security.

"The university heard New Brunswicks concerns and, for that

reason, in response to the citys request, the university provided

funding for additional New Brunswick police officers this year to

patrol the citys streets," said university spokesman E.J. Miranda

in a statement. "This year, the university also provided additional

Rutgers police officers to assist New Brunswick police. Public

    safety is our top priority."

The concerts, held on Rutgers Busch campus in Piscataway, ended

at 8 p.m. Afterwards, shuttle buses usually transport students to

College Avenue, where alcohol-fueled parties often are held.

Mangarella said many high school students, out-of-towners and

non-Rutgers college students attend the concerts and parties.

"It boggles the mind that a university in this day and age would

sponsor an event promoting drinking to this level by underage

people," he said.Miranda said the university shared concerns over the number of

outsiders increasingly attracted to the 30-year-old event.

"The university is already in discussions with New Brunswick

officials about the incidents that occurred and about what steps

can be taken going forward," he said.

None of the people reported injured in the shootings was a

Rutgers student, said New Brunswick Police Lt. J.T. Miller.

The injuries caused by the shootings were not life-threatening,

police said. No arrests in the shootings had been made.

Shortly after midnight, an 18-year-old victim was shot twice, once

in each leg, during a dispute outside of a bar at Easton Avenue

    and Albany Street, Miller said.

Later, another dispute lead to the shooting of two brothers near

College Avenue and Hamilton Street. One, a 19-year-old, was shot

twice in the buttocks. The other was grazed on the thigh, according to Miller.

    Then at 1:45 a.m., a 17-year-old leaving a party on Huntington

Street near Easton Avenue was hit in the head with a bottle

causing an injury that sent him to the hospital, Miller said.

The trouble continued through this morning, when another 17-

year-old showed up at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital

with a bullet wound to his left hip. He told authorities the shooting

    occurred near Rutgers, Miller said.

Miller said New Brunswick police and Rutgers University police

flooded Easton Avenue with an additional 40 officers to deal with

the Rutgersfest aftermath through 4 a.m.

"There were thousands and thousands more (people) than we

have on a normal night," Miller said of the crowds.

    New citywide parking permits

coming on-line for BayonneresidentsPublished: Sunday, April 17, 2011, 2:30 PM Updated: Sunday, April 17,2011, 2:33 PM

    By Charles Hack/The Jersey Journal

A new program that will allow Bayonne residents to park free for

more than three hours in any of the city's parking zones kicks in

    Monday, May 2.

Currently the city has five parking zones, two of which are

centered around the light rail stations at 22nd Street and 34th

    Street. .

On Monday, May 2, the city will bring on-line a new "orange" zone

around the newly opened 8th Street Light Rail Station.

Along with the new zone, city officials will begin to issue new

citywide permits that will allow residents to park in any of the six

zones for as long as they want.

The city is not doing away with existing zones. Residential parking

permit holders will only be able to secure guest tags for their

    zone.

Non-residents who qualify for the $250 business permits will

continue to be issued colored-coded permits, since these permits

are only valid in the zone where the business is located.

Parking zones are in effect Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 9

p.m., except for state and national holidays.

The new Orange Zone is roughly bounded by Kennedy Boulevard,

Avenue E, East Fifth Street and East 15th Street.

As per a resolution approved Thursday, Linden Street, Hartley

Place, and North Street east of Avenue A will be added to the

    Orange Zone on May 19.

The Bayonne Parking Authority encourages residents to apply for

    the new permits by mail.

Permit applications and photocopies of the required documents --

driver's license, vehicle registration, and documents showing proof

of residency, such at utility and cable bills -- can be mailed along

Tornadoes Kill at Least 43 in NorthCarolina and ElsewhereBy JOSEPH BERGER

    Published: April 17, 2011

At least 23 people were killed after a family of violent tornadoesroared through the city of Raleigh and across the heart of North

Carolina Saturday afternoon and evening, state officials said

Sunday. The storms also severely injured 130 other people and

leveled or damaged hundreds of homes, demolished a big-box store

and a trailer park, plucked trees out of the earth, and left more

    than 84,000 people without power.

The tornadoes were part of a storm system that first struck

Oklahoma Thursday night and then swept through Arkansas,Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia, killing

at least 43 people before heading out to sea.

The North Carolina toll would have been far higher had it not been

for a canny manager of a Lowes home improvement store in

Sanford, 40 miles southwest of Raleigh. Patty McQuillan, a public

information officer for the states Division of EmergencyManagement, said the manager, who was not immediately

identified, hustled more than 100 customers and workers into the

more fortified rear of the store into offices before the front of the

cavernous store collapsed. Witnesses said much of the store had

been flattened, with jagged beams and siding poking out of the

rubble, though no one was seriously injured.

It was really just a bad scene, Jeff Blocker, a Lowes regional vice

president, told The Associated Press. Youre just amazed that no

    one was injured.

Three children from the same family were killed in a trailer park in

Raleigh, a city of 400,000, and major avenues downtown were

blocked by fallen trees. Several residents of the Stoney Brook Trailer

Park, a cluster of about 100 trailers in a pocket two miles from

downtown, described how they hid in bathrooms and kitchens and

shielded themselves with pillows to ride out the fiercest stretch of

the storm. Angelina McCaizie told The Associated Press she had

been cooking when she saw the winds and rain mount to

frightening proportions. She shepherded her children, nephew and

brother into the kitchen and squatted on the floor.

When the storm had passed, she went outside and saw neighborsoutside their mobile homes bleeding or nursing broken limbs. One

resident, she ran up to her crying, Please help me! Please help me!

    I need 911.

Eric Curry, a spokesman for the government of Wake County,

which includes Raleigh, said Sunday that the three deaths were all

that had been confirmed so far in Raleigh. We still have crews

checking homes and making sure all folks are accounted for, but

right now those are the only deaths we have, he said.

But the worst-hit county was Bertie, a swath of fertile farmland 130

miles east of Raleigh where 21,000 people live and where cotton,

tobacco, peanuts, corn and soybeans are grown. At least 10 people

were killed and 50 seriously injured in Bertie, many of those

    critically, Ms. McQuillan said.

With seven counties devastated and tens of millions of dollars in

damage, Gov. Beverly Perdue declared a state of emergency, an

order that permits large supply and utility trucks to enter the state

and help in the rescue and cleanup. Ms. McQuillan said the series

of tornadoes was the worst to strike the state since March 1984,

    when 42 people were killed.

Scott Sharp, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service office

in Raleigh, said the devastation was due to a family of tornadoes

that were part of the same thunderstorm system, with one rotating

updraft cropping up after another had dissipated. At least eight

  • 8/7/2019 Newscast 4 Sources

    7/21

twisters were confirmed in North Carolina, he said, with one

forming south of Raleigh and heading through the southeast

quarter of the city and out through the north. There were three

deaths reported in Raleigh and four just outside the city.

Mr. Sharp said in spots, the storm was laced with hail the size of

    golf balls or eggs.

At least four people were killed by a tornado and flash flooding in

Virginia, while earlier seven people were killed in Arkansas, seven in

Alabama, two in Oklahoma and one in Mississippi.

In Bertie County, Zee Lamb, the county manager, said he had

spoken to an Iraq war veteran astonished by what he saw.

He did two tours of duty in Iraq and the scene was worse than he

ever saw in Iraq thats pretty devastating, Mr. Lamb told The

    Associated Press.

The effects could be felt as far away as New York City on Saturday

night, when furious, rain-packed gusts measured at 50 miles an

hour struck coastal and riverside roadways.

Wildfires Continue Across TexasBy THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

across hundreds of thousands of acres in Texas that have destroyed

    dozens of homes.

Strong winds and drought-stricken grasses and shrubs are fueling

the fires, which forced hundreds of evacuations, including that ofan entire town, and destroyed at least 60 homes on Friday.

Firefighters worked overnight as the blazes burned across about 655

square miles, according to the Texas Forest Service.

Some of the fires have been burning for a week or more, including

three in West Texas that have charred 400,000 acres.

Gregory M. Simmons, 51, a volunteer firefighter, died while battlinga 3,000-acre blaze on Friday afternoon near Eastland, a town

about 130 miles west of Dallas, said Mayor Mark Pipkin of

Eastland. Mr. Simmons had been a firefighter for two decades,

including 11 years in Eastland, the mayor said.

No other injuries have been reported.

A blaze destroyed about 30 homes and left a thick gray haze across

the sky as it burned about 20,000 acres around Possum Kingdom

Lake, a popular recreation spot about 120 miles west of Dallas. By

nightfall, a deep red glow was hovering on the horizon as thick

billows of smoke were illuminated by the flames.

Officials closed the surrounding state park and evacuated

campsites earlier Friday, fearing that the fire would block the only

access roads to the wooded area.

The fire, its a bad one, said Rob McCorkle, a spokesman for the

Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. This is pretty unusual to

have this many fires going across the state.

Three large fires burning in Wichita County, near the Oklahoma

border, had destroyed about 20 homes in the Iowa Park area. Eightmore were lost in Wichita Falls.

Wildfires near Eastland also prompted officials to evacuate the

town of Gorman, which has a population of 1,200, said Jill Rainey,

    the city clerk.

2 Korean Search Engines File a ComplaintAgainst Google

    By MARK McDONALD

    Published: April 15, 2011

SEOUL The two biggest Internet search engines in South Korea

filed a complaint on Friday with the Fair Trade Commission,

charging that Google was blocking the installation of their serviceson smartphones preloaded with GooglesAndroid operating system.

The NHN Corporation, which owns Naver, the largest search

portal, and Daum, the No. 2 portal, asked South Koreas trade

commission to investigate whether Google had improperly

maneuvered to have Android preinstalled on most smartphones

    being sold in the country.

Android-based smartphones use Google as their default search

engine, and NHN said in a statement that the preloading of

Android had made it virtually impossible to switch to another

    option for Internet searching.

  • 8/7/2019 Newscast 4 Sources

    10/21

Worldwide, Android is expected to become the preferred operating

system on smartphones. For the vendors who made Android the

cornerstone of their smartphone strategies, 2010 was the coming-

out party, Ramon Llamas, a senior research analyst with theInternational Data Corporation, said in a recent report.

This year will see a coronation party as these same vendors

broaden and deepen their portfolios to reach more customers,

particularly first-time smartphone users, the report said.

In its complaint, NHN said that Google, through a marketing

partnership with major smartphone producers, had unfairly

created a new ecosystem by offering the Android system free as a

    way to control the market.

Google denied the accusations, saying in a statement that carrier

partners are free to decide which applications and services to

    include on their Android phones.

South Korean consumers are famous as early adopters, and most

new phone buyers here are opting for smartphones. About two-

thirds of all smartphones sold in South Korea last year were

    Android-based.

The Korea Communications Commission said last month that more

than 10 million smartphones were registered in South Korea. In

December 2009, 800,000 smartphones were in use.

Telecommunications analysts expect the number of smartphones in

use in South Korea could reach 20 million by the end of the year.

  • 8/7/2019 Newscast 4 Sources

    11/21

Naver and Daum currently control more than 70 percent of the

mobile Internet search market in South Korea, and it is technically

possible to switch to their search applications on Android phones.

That switch is not easy, however, and Naver and Daum said theirapplications could not be purchased as a preloaded option.

Google, which has a 1 to 2 percent share in the fixed-line Internet

search market here, has been the only program preloaded on

smartphones, Lee Byung-sun, a spokesman for Daum, told the

Yonhap news agency in Seoul. That cant be the result of mobile

    carriers and manufacturers free choice.

A longtime Google rival, Microsoft, lodged a similar antitrust

complaint last month with the European Commission, asserting

that Google was engaging in anticompetitive practices, both on the

Web and in smartphone software. The European complaint

accused Google of hampering Microsoft applications in connection

with videos onYouTube, which is owned by Google.

8 NATO troops killed in one day inAfghanistanThree die in two bombings in the south, and five others are killed in

In one of the deadliest days for foreign forces inAfghanistan this year,

eight NATO troops were killed in three separate incidents Saturday,

    authorities said.

Three died in two separate bomb attacks in the south, according to North

Atlantic Treaty Organization statements. The nationalities of those killed

    were not immediately released.

Earlier in the day, five NATO service members and four Afghan soldiers

were killed in a suicide attack by a Taliban bomber who dressed like an

Afghan soldier to infiltrate a joint Afghan-U.S. base on the edge of the

    eastern province of Laghman.

A Taliban spokesman has said the group plans to target Afghan officials,

including security forces, allied with NATO and the U.S.Attacks by insurgents wearing Afghan security forces uniforms are not

uncommon, but the death toll from such incidents has not been as high

recently. In November 2010, six U.S. soldiers were killed by an insurgent

posing as an Afghan border police agent at a military training area in

Nangarhar province. The year before, five British soldiers in Helmand

province were killed in a similar attack.

A senior U.S. militaryofficial Sunday said infiltration by Taliban agents

in the security forces is a concern, but insurgents do not appear to be

pursuing it as a strategy of late to the same extent as car bombs, suicide

    bombs and assassinations.

The official described the vetting process for Afghan security forces as

"pretty exhaustive" and said it is continuously improving. In addition,

NATO coalition forces have been training counterintelligence agents to

isolate Taliban agents within the ranks, according to Lt. Gen. William B.

Caldwell IV, who leads the U.S. and NATO training mission inAfghanistan.

Speaking in London last week, Caldwell said coalition forces expected to

    train about 445 agents.

"That will enable us to have a check and balance out there," Caldwell said,

with "counterintelligence agents operating out there in support of the

Real Madrid vs Barcelona: More ThanEl Clasico For Barca

    Isaac Asante, April 16th, 2011

Fans refer to the Real Madrid vs Barcelona league match as

another clash to enjoy. For Barcawho would do anything to live

El Clasico will be much more than that.

At present, both Los Blancos and the Azulgranas have a shot at the treble.

The Blaugrana completed a perfect season back in 2009, when theyclinched trophies in La Liga, the Champions League, and the Copa del Rey.

This term, it is Barcas wish to dominate domestic and European football on

another occasion; but in order to succeed, they will need to get the keys to

glory by comprehensibly winning tonights Clasico.

Although Barcelona are currently enjoying a comfortable lead at the top of

the Spanish League standings, nothing is really guaranteed yet. Should

they slip in the rankings by losing to Real Madrid at the Bernabeu Stadium,

then the league race would be wide open againwhile a considerable

amount of energy within the Catalan club would be lost.

Losing momentum and stumbling is definitely the last thing Los Cules

would want to do, since a mistake at this stage of their 2010/2011 season

would be extremely costly. It would not necessarily be their league title

dreams that would be at stake. In fact, more importantly, it would mainly

be their chances of remaining the illustrious side they currently are now

    that would be at risk.

Through the approaching Clasico, Real Madrid will be hoping to regain their

greatness and take away all the powers of their enemies.Indeed, a victory

for Jose Mourinho and his men will hugely destabilize the defendingSpanish champions, who will afterwards have to think about retaining their

Spanish Cup title in April 20s Copa del Rey final.

Striking Barcelonas positive psychology is always a vital undertaking for

any club challenging Barca, and the former Chelsea boss certainly knows

how good the odds are prior to tonights Real Madrid vs Barcelona game. A

  • 8/7/2019 Newscast 4 Sources

    14/21

win for his side tonight could be followed with the grabbing of the 2011

Copa del Rey trophy, and who knows, the European title...

After all, beating the one-time treble winners in El Clasico is an attainment

that has never been earned by any manager since 2008, whereas it is

obvious that a defeat at a point would have made the Catalans much moreordinary than they currently seem to be. Nevertheless, Coach Mourinho is

aware of how imperative it is for Real to stun La Liga leaders at the

Santiago Bernabeu; and with the fans strongly behind him, all that the

Special One can do is leave up to expectations.

Already, Madrid have humbled well-respected sides this season, including

AC Milan, Olympique Lyonnais, and Tottenham Hotspur. Despite their 5-0

humiliation back on 29 November 2009, it is very likely that they clarify

their image in tonights Clasico by putting an end to their opponents 5-

    match unbeaten Clasico run.

With this in mind, there is a need to recognize that the upcoming battle

will be an indescribably tough one for Barcelona; and whatever the result

turns out to be, its effects will surely be of great magnitude. As a result, it

will be up to Los Cules to fight with everything they have so as to destroy

their archrivals plans and preserve the momentum that keeps them going

    this season.

Eventually, it will be much more than a match influencing La Liga table. It

will be much more than a match influencing the pending 2011 Copa delRey final. It will probably be greater than any Clasico that Blaugrana fans

have witnessed under the leadership of Guardiola. It will most importantly

be a battle that will decide the destiny of Spains most successful football

club after Real Madrid: FC Barcelona.

HARRISON, N.J. The New York Red Bulls offense needed a lift, and Luke

Rodgers was the man to provide it.

Starting in place of Juan Agudelo, Rodgers scored twice on Saturday night as the

Red Bulls trounced the San Jose Earthquakes, 3-0, at Red Bull Arena. Thierry

Henry, who played perhaps his best game since joining New York, capped off the

win with his first goal of the season in the 87th minute.

The Earthquakes were thoroughly outplayed, as the Red Bulls outshot the visitors

16-7, including a 9-3 advantage in shots on goal.

New Yorks domination started in the second minute when Rafa Mrquez swung a

corner kick from the left side to the far post, where Dane Richards was able to

redirect it back into the center. Rodgers, generously listed at 57, outjumped his

marker to nod home his first MLS goal.

Thirteen minutes later, Rodgers doubled New Yorks lead, thanks to some

hounding defense from Henry. San Joses Ramiro Corrales dilly-dallied on the ball,

and Henry pressured and stripped the Earthquakes captain on the right flank.

Racing in alone, Henry then slotted a teasing ball across the face of the goal and

just out of reach of goalkeeper Jon Busch. Rodgers timed his run perfectly to

hammer home his second goal of the night.

The Earthquakess struggled to gain any rhythm and did not register their first

chance on goal until the 48th minute. Chris Wondolowski capitalized on a Mrquez

miscue in the box to fire a shot that looked headed into the net. But goalkeeper

Bouna Coundoul dove to push it aside for a corner kick.

Aside from that, though, New York continued to control the run of play. In the

second half, Henry had several chances to score. First, he took a breakaway

around Busch but fired his shot wide of the open goal. Then, in the 77th minute,

after separating from his man, he hit a long-range drive that forced a good save

    from Busch.

Finally, with three minutes to play, he struck a beautiful goalhis first in league

play since September 11, 2010. Rodgers returned Henrys earlier favor, chipping in

a cross to the far post. Henry snuck behind San Jose defender Jason Hernandez

and headed the ball past Busch into the far side netting.

San Joses best chance of the match came just second after the restart. After

controlling the ball eight yards out from goal, Wondolowski right-footed a shot that

forced Coundoul into one of his two saves on the night.

The victory was revenge for New York against the side that knocked the Red Bulls

out of the MLS Cup playoffs last year.

The win puts New York up to second place in the Eastern Conference, two points

behind leaders Philadelphia. Meanwhile, with Seattle winning and Vancouver

drawing on the evening, the Earthquakes fall into 6th place.

The Red Bulls next face D.C. United on Thursday at RFK Stadium (8 pm ET,

ESPN2). San Jose return home for a matinee against Chivas USA next Saturday.

    Film fans head for'Rio,' shrug over new'Scream' (AP)Source:APSun Apr 17, 2011, 2:06 pm EDT

LOS ANGELES - Movie fans are going to "Rio" in big numbers, but

they're not quite screaming over the latest installment of a horror-

    comedy franchise.

The 20th Century Fox animated family flick "Rio," featuring the voices of

Anne Hathawayand Jesse Eisenberg, led the weekend box office with ahealthy $40 million debut, according to studio estimates Sunday.

It was the best debut so far this year, topping another animated comedy,

    "Rango," by about $2 million.

The slasher comedy "Scream 4," released by the Weinstein Co. banner

Dimension Films, opened at No. 2 with just $19.3 million. That's afraction of the business for the previous two sequels, which both debuted

at over $30 million more than a decade ago.

Business finally climbed for Hollywood, which has been in a prolonged

slide. Revenues rose for only the second time since last November,

coming in at $134 million, up 12 percent compared to the same weekend

last year, when "Kick-Ass" led with $19.8 million.

"I'm going to be so bold as to say this may be the beginning of the

turnaround," said Paul Dergarabedian, box-office analyst for

Hollywood.com. "Summer's almost here and it's the most important

movie-going season. It couldn't be coming at a better time."

After two weekends in the No. 1 spot, Russell Brand's Easter bunny tale

"Hop" slipped to third-place with $11.2 million. Released by Universal,

"Hop" raised its total to $82.6 million.

The weekend's other new wider release, director Robert Redford's

Lincoln-assassination drama "The Conspirator," premiered at No. 9 with

$3.9 million. The movie stars Robin Wright and James McAvoyin a

courtroom tale of a woman accused of aiding Lincoln assassin John

    Wilkes Booth.

Released by Roadside Attractions, "The Conspirator" played in narrower

release of 707 theaters, roughly one-fifth the cinema count for the

    weekend's top three movies.

"Rio" opened well above Fox studio expectations. A tale of romance and

smuggling involving rare birds, "Rio" opened overseas a week earlier andhas climbed to a $168 million total worldwide.

"It's working in every country on the planet," said Fox distribution

executive Bert Livingston. "It's G-rated, which means it's for everybody."

With many children out of school over the next week leading into Easter,

"Rio" has solid playing time ahead of it, Livingston said.

Receipts for "Scream 4" came in a bit under industry expectations and

well below the $30-million-plus openings for "Scream 2" and "Scream

    3."

"Would we have liked to have done more? Yeah, absolutely, but I don't

think anyone was expecting $30 million," said Erik Lomis, head of

distribution for the Weinstein Co. "But I think it's a solid opening,

particularly given how the films have been performing lately in the

marketplace. R-rated films have been having a tougher time."

"Scream 4" reunites the stars of the original three movies Neve

Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette and adds new young cast

members including Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere and Rory Culkin.

The movie hurls the cast into a fresh blood fest as bodies pile up in a

manner mimicking events of the first movie.

An 11-year hiatus since "Scream 3" may have created a disconnect

between the franchise and the typically young horror crowd. Just 54

percent of the audience was under 25, a segment that typically accounts

for about 75 percent of horror fans, Lomis said.

Weinstein executives are hoping word of mouth among those younger

viewers will bring in new fans and carry the movie along in the coming

weeks. That's what happened with the original "Scream," which opened

    with just $6.4 million in 1996 but became a $100 million word-of-mouth

    hit.

Matthew Morrison DissesAmericanPsycho Novelist: "Who's That?"Today 5:05 PM PDT by MARC MALKIN

Even if one of those haters happens to be a best-selling novelist...

Just last week,American Psycho authorBret Easton Ellis took to his Twitterto

compare watching Glee to walking in a "puddle of HIV."

So I asked the actor what he thought of Ellis.

"Who's that?" Morrison said Friday night at UCLA's Jonsson Cancer Center

Foundation "Taste for a Cure" gala.

"You know what?" Morrison continued. "That means the show is good if people

have not nice things to sayand amazing things to say. It keeps people talking,

you know? That's going to be a part of the show."

In much happier news, here's hoping Morrison gets his way with booking a

    potential guest star.

"I want Adele on the show," he said. "I'm obsessed with her. She's awesome. She's

incredible. Have you heard her stuff? Enough said."

We couldn't agree more. And if you don't believe us, pick up her new album, 21.

    You'll become obsessed, too.

Turns out Morrison's good pal, Gwyneth Paltrow, performs the Brit songbird's

"Turning Tables" on Glee when she returns as teacher Holly Holiday on this week's

    episode.

Morrison also said they're currently in the middle of shooting the big prom episode.

All are keeping tight-lipped on storyline details, but Mike O'Malley (AKA, Kurt's

dad) told us at the GLAAD Media Awards that Kurt is going to the prom.

    Who's his date?

"What?" O'Malley said, laughing. "Do you want to get me fired?"
