http://www.presbyterianmission.org/ministries/yav/victoriahollingsworth/

I was born to Pam and Steve Hollingsworth, and I have one sister named Erin. At sixteen, I

moved to Quincy, Florida and joined First Presbyterian Church of Quincy. I attended the University of West Georgia, and graduated with a degree in History with a minor in Psychology. I learned about YAV during the College Conference at Montreat and felt drawn to participate. I am spending my YAV Year in San Antonio, and I’m excited to see where God is calling me.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

How many Presbyterians does it take to change a light bulb? One, willing to be a Helping Hand.

Are you ready to ride the leaf rake? Someone’s yard might appreciate your Helping Hands.

Is your car gassed up with nowhere to go? Maybe you could lend a Helping Hand and take someone to the doctor.

Did you fix too much for dinner? Maybe there is someone who needs a hot meal. Lend a Helping Hand.

You mowed your lawn and have extra time and a ready and willing lawn mower. Lend a Helping Hand.

Do you have a talent, skill, or time you would be willing to share with others?

The Helping Hands committee needs volunteers who can help others in our congregation when needs arise. If you would

like to help with minor repairs, periodic yard work, simple house cleaning, read to others, drive others to appointments, etc.

please add your name and talent to the sheet in the narthex or call the church office (627-6576) and ask Beverly to add your

name to our list of volunteers.

Service on this committee is not limited to church officers but is open to anyone who has a desire to be of service to others.

WOW! What a great summer!

We have just returned from Montreat and want to say a special thanks to the Woodward family

for allowing us to use their Montreat house for an awesome week!

Now it is time to gear up for the new school year.

Monday August 11th we will travel to Water World in Dothan, AL. We will leave at 9:00am and return at

6:00pm. Cost is $12.00 for the entrance fee and lunch.

August 17th is Rally Day. At 9:30am we will have a snack breakfast followed by class promotions and a power

point presentation on all our past year’s events. That evening at 6:00pm we will have our youth parents

meeting (6th-12th grades) to go over calendars and fill out medical releases for the year. (Notaries please

bring your stamps).
