Sansthan in the presence of Secretary Health, Shri S.C.L. Das and Secretary to Hon'ble Health Minister,

Shri Ajay Garg on Aug. 26, 2013 at Delhi Sachivalaya. Director CBPACS, Prof. Dr. H.M. Chandola,

Additional Director (Academics), Prof. Dr. Tanuja Nesari, Med. Supdt. Dr. N.R.Singh, Executive Editor

Dr. Gaytri Juneja and other members of the editorial team also remained present on this occasion. Hon'ble

Minister complimented efforts of editorial team.

Hon'ble Chief Minister of Delhi Smt. Sheila Dixit in the

booklet entitled “Delhi Herbs for Home Remedies”

published by CBPACS in collaboration with Delhi

Parks & Gardens Society on Oct.3, 2013. For Delhi

public, these medicinal plants will be made available by

Delhi Parks and Gardens Society. This booklet is

displayed on Sansthan website www.cbpacs.com .

Dr.Narendra Kumar visited the

Sansthan on Aug. 22, 2013. All

members were impressed by the

CCIM Visit

infrastructure, services and working atmosphere of the Sansthan. Later

visiting team addressed staff and students with motivating suggestions to

work hard to make the Sansthan an institute of significance globally.

Uttarakhand Health Minister Visits Sansthan

Hon'ble Health & Family Welfare Minister of

Uttarakhand, Shri Surendra Singh Negi visited ththe Sansthan on 6 September, 2013 along with

Vice Chancellor of Uttarakhand Ayurved

University, Dr.S.P. Mishra and Registrar

Dr.Mritunjaya Kumar Misra. Visiting guests

were felicitated by the Sansthan. Meritorious

students received Mementoes & certificates by

auspicious hands of the Hon'ble Minister on this

occasion. The guests were highly impressed by

average 1000 patients daily in the OPD & huge

infrastructure spread in 95 acres of land of

Sansthan. The Minister asked to explore

possibilities to sign MOU between both the

institutes.

Dr. B. P. Joshi, Hon'ble Registrar, GGSIP

University Delhi along with Dr. Nitin Malik,

Joint Registrar visited the Sansthan on Oct. 5,

2013. On this occasion, Hindi Pakhwara

winners were also awarded. The Registrar was

highly impressed by the activities of Sansthan.

Dr. Joshi said that Sansthan has lots of potential to start Post Graduate

studies in various disciplines of Ayurveda.

Registrar GGSIP University Visits Sansthan

Independence Day was celebrated by staff, students & patients of thCBPACS on 15 August, 2013. National Tricolour was hoisted by

Director Principal followed by inspiring address. Tribute to the martyrs

was given through patriotic songs and recitations by students & staff.

Independence Day Celebration

A six days workshop convened by Dr.

Bhimsen Behera, Commission for Scientific

& Technical Terminology (Union Ministry of

Human Resource Development) was held at

CBPACS during Aug.19-24, 2013 to evolve &

define scientific & technical terms for

Dictionary of Ayurveda. Dr. Gurdeep Singh, Dr. Rajesh Chhokar, Dr.

Praveen Chaudhary, Dr. Santhosh S.R. Nair, Dr. Kamleshwar

Kalia, Dr. Subash Sahu & Dr. Smita Arora had actively participated.

Workshop on Dictionary of Ayurveda

The Dept. of Kaumarabhritya organized Basic Life Support Programme thin collaboration with Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) on 25 Aug.

2013 with participation of doctors, faculty members of Sansthan and

from other parts of the country. Total 40 delegates learnt the skills of life

support including Adult and infant CPR, foreign body extraction etc.

from experts of IAP. Director-Principal Prof. Dr. H.M. Chandola, and

Med. Supdt. Prof. Dr. N.R. Singh had also participated.

Organization of Basic Life Support (BLS) Programme

Tenth meeting of the Governing Council (GC) of CBPACS chaired by thHon'ble Health Minister Dr. A. K. Walia was held on 24 September

2013 at Delhi Sachivalaya. Issues like present status of the Hospital &

Institute, creation of new posts as per CCIM norms were discussed. The

GC approved the Institutional Ethics Committee of Sansthan, plan for

construction of Auditorium & Panchakarma block, scheme to award

scholarship to meritorious students (1st three rankers of each batch of

BAMS) worth Rs. 15000/-, Rs. 10000/-, Rs. 6000/- respectively and

relief in Tuition fee to students from Economically Weaker Section.

th10 Meeting of the Governing Council

A 'Training Programme' was organized by the

Dept. of Panchakarma for therapists of Haryana

Govt. during Sept.24-Oct.3, 2013 with expert

inputs from 18 faculty members of the institute.

On successful completion of programme,

certificates were awarded to the participants by Director Principal Prof.

H.M. Chandola. The consultant AYUSH, Haryana Dr. J.L. Goel was the

Guest of honour.

Panchakarma Training Programme

The counselling & admission of BAMS 2013 batch students was

successfully completed with great enthusiasm amongst students &

parents. It was held at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University on th30 September 2013. The filling of five seats for foreign students is

under process.

Arrival of New Batch of Students

A farewell function was organised by CBPACS staff for Dr. Prashant

Gupta, Clinical Registrar, Dept. of Kaumarabhritya on Oct.4, 2013. It

was an emotional event with gratitude from his patients also.

Colleagues wished him Good luck for his bright & prosperous future at

Govt. Ayurveda College, Pilibhit where he joined as lecturer.

Farewell to Dr. Prashant Gupta

On Oct.30, 2013 “Shishyopanayana Samskara” of 2012 & 2013 batch

students was done with Vedic rituals. A Hawan ceremony was organized

followed by the oath ceremony by students & their mentors. Later in the

afternoon, “Dhanwantari Diwas” was celebrated with gracious

presence of Padma Bhushan Vaidya Devender Triguna who inspired all

for practice, teaching & research in the field of Ayurveda with his

motivating words. Vaidya Trigunaji was felicitated by the Sansthan.

The celebration ended with plantation of 250 plants by the Chief Guest,

students and teachers.

October in the Sansthan. The students rocked the

Prof. Dr. Tanuja Nesari, Additional Director (Academics) delivered a guest lecture & conducted a post

t hconference workshop at 15 International Conference on Ayurveda organized by Rosenberg's European Academy of Ayurveda,

Germany. Approximately 300 delegates from 24 countries had participated in the conference. Indian Ambassador to Germany Mr. Gupte acknowledged the activities of the Sansthan in his inaugural speech. Dr. Tanuja Nesari also delivered a lecture on the subject 'Role of AYUSH in drafting a policy for National Urban Health Mission' organized by Dept of AYUSH, Health & FW, GOI & G.N.C.T.D on Sep. 27, 2013.

Prof Arun Gupta, HOD-Deptt. of Panchakarma delivered a key note lecture on 'The role of Panchakarma in Life style disorders' at conference on 'Recent advancements in Panchakarma' organized by P.G. Dept. of Panchakarma, Rishikul Govt. Ayurveda College, Haridwar and MPAR. Dr. Gupta had also spoken at CME on Panchakarma for Medical Doctors organised by Pt. K.L.S. Govt. Ayurved College, Bhopal sponsored by RAV.

Dr. Smita Arora, Astt. Professor- Dept. of Kriya Sharir was awarded PhD (Ayurveda) degree & Dr. Sumer Singh, Associate Professor, Dept. of RS & BK & Dr. Vaishali P. Mali, Astt. Professor, Dept. of Basic Principles submitted their Ph.D thesis at Rajasthan Ayurved University, Jodhpur.

Prof. Dr. H.M. Chandola, Prof. Dr.Tanuja Nesari, Dr. Santhosh S.R. Nair, Dr. Gaytri Juneja & Dr. Anjna Tak participated as subject experts of Kayachikitsa, Dravyaguna, Basic Principles, Kriya Sharir & Prasuti Tantra Stri Roga respectively, in the workshop for the revision of P.G syllabus organised by CCIM during Oct. 24-25, 2013 at New Delhi.

The Department of Samhita-Siddhant organized a week-long Spoken thSanskrit Course from 10 October 2013 in association with Sanskrit
