Over 40 students lit up the start of 2012/13 by taking part in ‘Take Over The Towers’ – a 2 week long project

during arrivals which saw the group go from nothing but a notion to a spectacular visual display on the opening night of Bournemouth Arts by the sea Festival. The building opposite the Old Fire Station was visually hijacked as spectacular projections including an interactive game of pong delighted passers by.

“Take Over The Towers was my first ever Bournemouth University project so it was great to meet new people and work together coming up with lots of creative ideas. On the night I had so much fun, laughing, watching and listening to people’s reactions, finding it hard to believe what they had stumbled upon, ‘Am I actually playing pong on the side of a building?!’.Even the sober ones were amazed!”Kelly Griffiths: 1st Year Multi - Media Journalism.
