NOT A TYPO• The New York Red Bulls seven-goal explosion against New York City FC set a new franchise record for goals scored in a single game. • The performance also tied an MLS record for largest margin of victory, tying an LA Galaxy 8-1 win from 1998 and a 7-0 Chicago Fire win in 2001. The Red Bulls are just the fourth team in league history to score seven or more goals in a match.• New York entered the day with a -6 goal differential and left Yankee Stadium with a +1 differential and the most goals scored in the Eastern Conference this season. • With goals from NYC native Alex Muyl, Gideon Baah and Gonzalo Veron, it marks the first time in MLS his-tory that all three substitutes have scored in a match.
