Thank you for your interest in New Year at The Ickworth for 2016.

New Year is a great time for family and friends to gather together and celebrate the old year whilst welcoming in the new!

Our annual ‘house’ party ensures that you can kick back and relax and let us look after you.

Chef has put together some fantastic menus, the Fours Bears Den team have arranged so fun things for the children to do so you can have some much

deserved me time during your stay. And the rest of the team will be on hand to ensure that you have everything you need.

Please find an overview of the programme of events for the three days and should you have any questions, just give one of our team a call

New Year at

Arrive from 12 noon to get you and your family settled. Should your room not be quite ready, have a spot of lunch in the conservatory, have a swim or a bike ride or stroll in the stunning 1800 acres of the Ickworth Estate.

Lunch* is served in the Conservatory from 12 noon.

For the older children in your party (7+), why not join the Four Bears Den team and come and decorate your own mug ready for a hot chocolate treat. Or why not hunt around the hotel for the hidden snowmen!

Activities are available in the Four Bears den for the 0-8 year olds from 3pm to 5pm and the team have arranged a special activity of making a personalised calendar for 2017.

For those arriving a little later than noon, why not book for afternoon tea*?

High Tea is served for the little ones from 5pm to 6pm followed by a film in the Cinema Room.

Dinner is served from 6pm daily so please ensure that you book your table in advance.

House wine will be served with all meals and is inclusive in your package but if you would like to reserve something else for your meals, a selection of wines** will be available throughout your stay.

Join us for our welcome drink reception in the Drawing Room from 7pm. If you are eating earlier with the children, then just ask the team to bring you a glass of fizz to enjoy at your table.

For the older children, a further film will be shown in the Cinema Room

Breakfast is served in the main house from 7.30am and in the Lodge from 8am until 10am. Those guests staying in the Lodge are welcome up in the main house if they wish to take a morning stroll.

Morning Coffee* is available for those guests simply wishing to relax this morning or why not take a walk or bike ride around the estate. For those wanting to come to the Den, supervised activities include making a wishing wand or time capsule for the under 8 or making a hat ready for the Afternoon New Year’s Party

Lunch* will be served in the Conservatory for those wishing to dine, please make sure you book your table to avoid disappointment.

For children between 3 and 8 years of age, register beforehand for the New Year’s Eve party with the Four Bears Den team. With lots of fun and games to celebrate!

High Tea is served for the little ones from 5pm to 6pm in the Conservatory, followed by a film in the Cinema Room.

Put on your party outfit and join us for a Champagne reception with canapes in the Drawing Room.

Dinner will be served at your allocated table. House wine will be complimentary throughout the evening for you and your party until midnight. After dinner, take a trip around the dance floor with a disco in the Drawing Room until the wee small hours.

Ring in the New Year with a glass of Champagne! Our bar will be open until 1am after which drinks can be obtained from the night manager. Please note only house drinks are included in your package.

Rise and Shine – Happy New Year!

As its New Year, brunch will be served from 8am until 2pm in the Conservatory for all guests.

For those staying in the Lodge, a light continental breakfast will be available from 8am to 10am.

Blow away those cobwebs and get out and about the Estate with the bikes or take a stroll. The team have details of pre-planned routes for you to explore! Or book the little ones in for the morning where they will have fun making a fruity rocket lolly stick!

The older ones (8+) have the opportunity to create their own notebook or diary for 2017 in the lunchtime activity.

As with other nights, a further film is being shown in the Cinema Room for the older children.

You are more than welcome to stay and use the facilities if you wish to do so. The Four Bears Den has an activity of making a take home keepsake.

The Four Bears DenWe offer two hours complimentary supervised sessions in The Four Bears Den for children up to the age of 8 years of age. This is subject to availability and is given on a first come, first served basis. We strongly advise that all sessions are pre-booked including the lunchtime sessions for the older children prior to arrival to avoid any disappointment.

Dining over the New YearChef has prepared special menus for your stay during New Year and we can cater for most dietary requirements but advance notice must be given in order to prepare the meals for you. As we have often have a high proportion of larger groups staying with us over the New Year period, it is essential that you book you table in advance to avoid disappointment. You will have a table allocated to your party for the duration of your stay with us.

Only meals stated in this programme are included in your package price, all other additional meals, snacks and beverages are chargeable. All meals will be served in the main house unless otherwise stated.

Helpful information about your stay:

Payment of your AccountA 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking with us. The remaining package balance of your account is due on 1st December 2016.

We accept all major credit cards but we no longer accept payment of personal or company cheques for payment on departure. Your deposit is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation.
