It’s with great excitement that we are writing to let you know that 92Y’s After-School Program will return in person this fall. We are thrilled to be
working toward the return of this popular program in September.
92Y’s After-School Program offers a wealth of enrichment classes for your child, all designed by experts and led by inspiring teachers to fuel
curiosity and engagement in a way that beautifully supplements their school day, all of it along with the after-school care so many families need.
Whether your child is a lover of art, dance, music, sports or a mix, we have classes for them!
NEW! WALKING SERVICE FROM LOCAL SCHOOLS This fall, we will be offering a walking service to 92Y from PS 77, PS 198, PS 527, Hunter and La Scuola D'Italia. We will also be offered bus service to
CPE2, TAG, PS 290 and PS 6 only at this time, due to COVID regulations.
NEW! ONE-ON-ONE TUTORING SERVICES WITH PRIVATE PREP an academic services company that has partnered with us to offer more personalized academic support than our regular homework help room.
Private Prep teachers target individualized learning needs and goals, and can offer enrichment or remedial based lessons (more info on page 16).

• Complete the After-School Program registration form at 92Y.org/AfterSchool, accessible under “Downloads.”
• Complete the registration form online at 92y.org/AfterSchool and click “register.”
• Add enrichment classes for your child by visiting 92Y.org/kidcentral. A minimum of one enrichment class per day is required for your child(ren) to participate in 92Y After-School.

Enrichment Classes:
1) The following pages contain a list of all classes listed by day and department. Please refer to 92Y.org/kidcentral for information regarding Art, Dance, Music, and Health, Fitness and Sports enrichment classes.
2) Registration is completed by filling out the After-School Program Fall 2021 registration form, emergency contact form and submitting a health form that is less than one year old.
Fall 2021 Fees
The registration fees listed below are only for the Fall 2021
semester. For Scholarship & Financial Aid inquiries, please

The After-School Program Experience
After-School Program Care and Transportation:
$500 per weekday per semester
This includes clubhouse, two daily snacks, access to homework
room help (homework room subject to fall 2021 COVID protocols)
and walking service from one of the following schools: Hunter, La
Scuola D'Italia, PS 77, PS 198, PS 527 PS 6, TAG , PS 290 and CPE2.
- If you are planning on dropping your child off at 92Y, please note that on the registration form as our staff will meet them outside and escort them to their Clubhouse.
Please Note:
1) If your child does not require transportation, $100 will be deducted from your balance.
2) The Homework Room is available (pending COVID protocols) Monday through Thursday. It is not available on Fridays or to Kindergarteners on any day.
Refund Policy
We understand that situations may occur when you must change
care plans for your child during his or her school year. The
following schedule applies to receiving a refund on your child’s
enrollment in the 92Y Classes.
* 100% refund, up to two weeks before class starts.
* 75% refund, up to one day before class starts.
* 50% after 1st class but before 2nd class.
There will be no refunds after the second class has met.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to the
Program/Associate Director of the 92Y After-School Program.
Refunds are computed from the date written notice is received.
Please allow three to four days for processing your refund.
Note: Please consult your child’s school regarding extended day
before registering your child for the After-School Program. Any
change made to your child’s schedule is subject to the refund
policy.
Class Change Policy
The following applies in the event your child would like to change
his or her enrichment class:
- A child can switch out of an enrichment class and into another before the 2nd session of the class that he/she is enrolled in.
- All enrichment class changes are based on availability. - Changes will not be granted once your child’s enrichment
class has met two or more times.

Art Center: Sep 13-Jan 31
Drawing & Painting / Ages 7-10 / 4:15-5:30 PM ($715) For the artist who loves to draw and wants to explore the materials like charcoal, pastels, ink, oil paint and more. Beginners and experienced young
artists alike learn fundamental techniques, such as proportion and composition, while developing keen observational skills.
Metalwork & Jewelry / Ages 9-12 / 4:00-6:00 ($725) Children design and create jewelry and small objects in brass, nickel and copper, and learn basic metalsmithing techniques, such as sawing, piercing, forming, finishing, chain making and cold connections. Includes $10 materials fee.
Sculpture & Pottery / Ages 7-9 / 4:15-5:30 PM ($715) Introduce your child to the world of ceramics through material exploration and building techniques, such as pinching and constructing with slabs and coils. Courses progress to expressing ideas, showcasing creativity and exploring design. Class projects may include sculptures focused on telling stories, inventing fantasy animals, creating self-portraits, designing interiors and exteriors of buildings, jewelry, beads, cups, plates and more. This class challenges dancers to connect with the audience through musical interpretation and storytelling while guiding them to develop a style that’s all their own.

This high energy and upbeat class empowers each student’s artistry while building on the fundamentals of hip hop dance concepts, increasing the skill and virtuosity of the student.

Our curriculum moves beyond the standard ‘triple threat’ training model to use musical theater as a vehicle to teach essential life skills and develop leaders who are ready to contribute to the creative work of tomorrow. Classes intentionally include a wide age range so that students may develop different skills at each age, moving from the porosity and delight of the younger students to the inspiration and leadership of the older class takers. Classes are designed for both pre-professional and recreational performers as we believe that inclusion is a breeding ground for empathy, awareness, and high human functionality. Musical Theater workshop: Annie Kids / Ages 5-18 / 4:30-5:30 ($550) What does it take to put on a musical? Your child is about to find out! This process-based workshop provides a unique, profound experience for students to explore all aspects of musical theater. In a warm, supportive environment, students explore every step — from casting to opening night — learning what it’s like to create and perform a musical while problem solving and building teamwork and self-esteem. Everyone has the chance

to shine in musicals drawn from a canon of child-friendly shows that fully engage the whole class. The workshop culminates in a fully produced spectacle for family and friends. Every student will receive a part and students who wish to participate in the workshop and not perform are also more than welcome. This class will expose your child to a variety of sports including basketball, baseball, soccer and flag football. We will rotate sports every three
weeks to give your child exposure a wide variety of experiences.

This skills based class will enable your child to gain an understanding of how hockey is played and participate in a safe way. Skill oriented games will be conducted during each class. We will focus on the rules, proper positioning, shooting and passing techniques.
Golf Simulator / Ages 5-7 / 3:45-4:35 PM, ($765/$630MCM)
Join 92Y Athletics in our new Golf Den with a state-of-the-art Golf Simulator. Children get the opportunity to practice and learn how to properly
swing a golf club on driving ranges and world class golf courses through our Foresight Sports golf simulator software. Children will have side
stations that involve putting practice on our turf, as well as golf-specific strength, balance and flexibility exercises. Clubs are provided. For questions

American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program: Learn swimming, build confidence and have fun in this nationally standardized program. Our

Our curriculum moves beyond the standard ‘triple threat’ training model to use musical theater as a vehicle to teach essential life skills and develop leaders who are ready to contribute to the creative work of tomorrow. Classes intentionally include a wide age range so that students may develop different skills at each age, moving from the porosity and delight of the younger students, to the inspiration and leadership of the older class takers. Classes are designed for both pre-professional and recreational performers as we believe that inclusion is a breeding ground for empathy, awareness, and high human functionality. If your little one loves to sing and dance, this is the class for them! Designed to develop vibrant, three-dimensional performers, it is the perfect introduction to the magnetic and compelling world of musical theater. Each week students embark on an exciting adventure making stories come to life and learning basic techniques in acting, singing and dancing. This class inspires young imaginations and builds confidence through inventive play, basic performance skills and artistic self-expression.

Musical Theater Workshop: The Sound of Music / Ages 6-18 / 4:30-6:00 PM ($595) What does it take to put on a musical? Your child is about to find out! This process-based workshop provides a unique, profound experience for students to explore all aspects of musical theater. In a warm, supportive environment, students explore every step—from casting to opening night—learning what it’s like to create and perform a musical while problem solving and building teamwork and self-esteem. Everyone has the chance to shine in musicals drawn from a canon of child-friendly shows that fully engage the whole class. The workshop culminates in a fully produced spectacle for family and friends. Every student will receive a part and students who wish to participate in the workshop and not perform

Gymnasts learn and build upon basic tumbling, uneven bar, balance beam and vault skills, including handstands, cartwheels, back hip circles, back
walkovers and more. $100 discount for gymnasts who register for any two classes per week; students must register for both classes at once.
Introduction to Gymnastics is a beginnerclass. Level 1 is an intermediate course for gymnasts who have completed an Introduction to Gymnastics

Girls focus on Women’s Artistic Gymnastics events: Floor, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam and Vault, with the goal of preparing Xcel skills and
foundational techniques to eventually join the competitive team. Children are typically evaluated and offered an invitation to join this class. For

Tumbling for Gym & Parkour /Ages 5-7 / 5:00 – 6:00 PM ($750/$615 MCM)
Join Professional 92Y Gymnastics instructors to learn the foundational aspects of tumbling such as cartwheels, round-offs, handstands, kick-overs
and much more for more advanced students. This is an all-level class as the instructors will modify and advance skills based on each individual
child’s experience level. Students have access to a gymnastics floor, stations that support tumbling skill-building and a 30-foot long tumble track to
aid their tumbling development. Class also includes a dynamic warm-up, balance, power drills and conditioning meant to support a child’s overall
ability to tumble.
Parkour / Ages 8-12 /3:30-4:30 PM ($750/$615 MCM)
Students train on professionally designed Parkour obstacles included a warped wall, ramp, panel wall for cat leaps/holds, vaults, pipes for hanging
and balancing, a tumble track, and even soft Parkour obstacles. Students will have the option of observing or participating in a Parkour Competition
at least once per year (we anticipate the number of competitions to grow based on commitment to the team).
Parkour Level Up Squad/ Ages 5-7 /4:30-6:00 PM ($795/$665 MCM)
Parkour & Ninja Warrior is the art of quick and efficient movement through the environment, utilizing techniques such as vaults, jumps and climbs.
This class helps children develop focus, strength, agility and endurance. Open to all levels of experience in parkour.
SWIMMING
American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim Program: Learn swimming, build confidence and have fun in this nationally standardized program. Our
instructors ensure that each child gets plenty of individual attention. Your child will receive a Red Cross card upon successful completion of level
requirements; all instructors are Red Cross certified. Note: This section is open to swimmers in Levels I through VI. Email [email protected] to
