Overs Pot is like a side pot. Teams can put an additional $50 on top of their entry fee, if they choose to do so. It will pay the top three places to those teams who are in the Overs Pot. It’s been popular in other Montana Cats Circuit tournaments and gives the anglers a chance at some extra cash. The tournament’s entry fee alone features a 110% payback and more than $1,000 worth of additional prizes. Also new this year will be entry forms already available at this weekend’s festivities. Sign-ups for the 16th Annual Catfish Classic can actually be made before even fishing the 15th annual event! This year’s field of teams is stacked with talent. 12 of the top 15 2013 Montana Cats Angler of the Year are here, including the top seven. Teams will gather for a mandatory meeting at 4:00 Saturday afternoon across the street from D&G Sports & Western (tournament headquarters) before scurrying off to their honey holes. The Famous Midnight Weigh-ins will begin around 11:30 p.m. with the smaller baskets of fish and progress to the monster cat baskets. While the river is much lower than it has been the past handful of years, Brenner says with all the experience most of these teams have acquired, we should see some impressive weights, adding that the lower water could work to some of the local teams’ advantage that have fished these lower levels in the past. Auzzy will once again have his Cook Shack set up (his burgers are good for a late-nite snack, too). The public is encouraged to come out and cheer for the anglers as they make their way across the stage for the live catfish weigh-ins and tell their fishin’ tales. It really is quite the show. Trophies and prizes will then be awarded, and lots more B.S.ing before the early morning hours come to an end. The catfish will all be returned to the river to grow another year for the 16th Annual Milk River Catfish Classic set for June 5th & 6th, 2015.

Here are the newly-designed Cat Classic logos that can be found on a ton of apparel (tank tops, t-shirts, hoodies) for sale this evening and Saturday. Don’t miss out.

Problem with Duck Creek RoadLetter to the Buzz Please be aware that a box of nails was dropped by an unknown person in November on the Duck Creek Road. As of June 5th, I have now had five tires repaired because of nails in my tires from this road. We have done numerous hours of clean up and are going back out this weekend for more clean up. If the unknown person would come help rake the road, it would sure be appreciated. ~ Bea Johnson, Duck Creek

Thursday’s teaser: A thousand wheels, but move I do not. Call me what I am, call me a lot. What am I? Answer: A parking lot.Today’s teaser: A king has no sons, no daughters, and no queen. For this reason he must decide who will take the throne after he dies. To do this he decides that he will give all of the children of the kingdom a single seed. Whichever child has the largest, most beautiful plant will earn the throne; this being a metaphor for the kingdom. At the end of the contest all of the children came to the palace with their enormous and beautiful plants in hand. After he looks at all of the children’s pots, he finally decides that the little girl with an empty pot will be the next Queen. Why did he choose this little girl over all of the other children with their beautiful plants?

STOP! “Don’t Move,” Read these tidbits of facts and opinions flying around the old Glasgow Air Patch now known as St Marie. MEANINGLESS TALK/PAPER- Well now, when certain people put out bogus, redickleeous, talk and writings...it’s just ludicrous garb. I must respond with the TRUE facts, numbers, and legal documents....the public opinion of the majority residing in St Marie insist that I do so. When idle talk and loads of meaningless paperwork is circulated and filed, I must respond. I will remain “Over Vigilant” for the good of the MANY and I ain’t fool’in. DUE DILIGENCE- When some so called developers write property purchase contracts with “Subject To” wording, then tells unsuspecting buyers “You Didn’t Do Due Diligence,” ....not nice, not ethical in the opinion of many locals. Most folks take for granted that a house for sale is in workable condition, complete with all basic appliances and has water and electric service available. And further, is not LOADED DOWN with tax/water liens and any other liens or mortgages to boot! BUYERS BEWARE- People with real estate experience know to make a purchase offer contingent upon buyer’s approval of preliminary title or a $150 dollar abstract title report that searches the title for. CLOUDS (Liens). Licensed realtors typically DISCLOSE all information on a piece of property listed “For Sale.” In most states it’s the law, but in St Marie, Montana as the old saying goes....”Buyer Beware.” BUYERS MEETING- A group of these poor buyers had a meeting with an attorney present and invited me to attend. I just listened to them and related the previously mentioned information ....not much else I could say. Following that meeting one of the ladies called me to say that she had paid $7,600 toward the purchase price and many thousands of dollars of liens remained on her house. I offered the opinion that she ask the owner to substitute a condo unit of like kind and size that didn’t have liens filed on it, or just ask for her money back. I’m waiting to hear back on the results of her effort. CONCLUSION- “Hell Fire,” when is all this “Tom Foolery” way of doing business going to end? Many of these home buyers tell me “It’s Rougher Than A Cob” dealing with all these problems when trying to buy a house. The opinionated advice of some....keep an eye on all questionable actions of some SO CALLED developers- DUE DILIGENCE. When are they going to develop, WHEN? ~ Nick Chiechi - Navy Veteran, Patriot, Taxpayer
