On behalf of our entire campuscommunity, it is my pleasure towelcome you to Salisbury University.

This is truly an exciting time to beat SU. In recent years, we haveemerged as A Maryland University ofNational Distinction. Recognitions fromthe likes of The Princeton Review, U.S. News & World Report andKiplinger’s have merely confirmed ourstanding as one of America’s finestcenters of higher education.

Rankings, however, do not explainwhy you will come to love your newcampus. Salisbury University’s truegreatness can be found in an intimateand interactive learning culture thatwill encourage you to think criticallyand challenge your own assumptions. It rests both in the quiet beauty of ourcampus grounds and in the vitality ofour student experience—one thatincludes more than 100 studentorganizations, a vibrant visual andperforming arts scene, and NCAAchampionship sports. Ultimately, it willalso be measured in the lifelongfriendships and memories that you willtake with you upon graduation. Whilewe expect you to study diligently, Iwould also encourage you to taketime to explore all aspects of yourexhilarating new experience. Enjoyone of our acclaimed stageproductions at the Black Box Theatre… join your new friends at a SeaGulls football game … or enjoy anafternoon on the Ocean Cityboardwalk.

Best wishes for a successful, enjoyable and unforgettable career atSalisbury University.
