demonstrate the military’s culture of fitness through challenging, yet fun PT sessions

– Provide fun, effective PT sessions utilizing functional fitness principles to include: log/tire work, kettle bells, and various circuits

importance of NSO and what will be expected of them, as well as what they should expect during their tour here.

and wear during their tenure. – Explain devises used to recognize senior officers. – Provide excellent examples of Military Bearing, proper

uniform wear.• Status:– GTG

– Qualify all Battalion members Third Class Swimmers– Qualify those prepared to challenge the Second Class Swim

• Proficient AD swimmers will assist with remedial training• Status:

– HPER Pool reserved– All current battalion members must re-qual prior to event.– ORM in development

• Intent:– Battalion will form up on Gun Deck and practice Drill.

Groups of 5 will break off and report to Gun Range and Supply.

– When one group returns from Supply, next group will rotate.

.22 Pistol Shoot• OIC: SGT Masini• Date/Time: 20AUG 1330-1730• Location: NS Gun Range• Intent:– Familiarize participants with the Ruger .22 Pistol.– Provide introductory training on proper weapons

handling and range safety, as well as hands-on experience firing a live weapon in a controlled environment.

Sea Bag.– Issue Navy BDU to AD Sailors.– Ensure proper fit of each uniform component for every

battalion member.• Status:– 75% of incoming MIDs have provided boot sizes, these

have been reported to Rodney for inventory purposes

– Provide basic training in Shipboard Damage Control. – Topics to include: Hose Handling, Pipe Patching, Fire

Classifications, CO2 Extinguisher, FFE– Allow further training through hands on use of the above

DC equipment. • Status

– Camp Williams Fire Dept. unable to support. OIC currently pursuing other options with Tooele FD.

Leadership Reaction Course• OIC: SGT Salazar• Date/Time: 21AUG 1300-1700• Location: Camp Williams LRC• Intent:– LRC and Rappelling Tower will be done simultaneously– Two squads will be broken into four-person fire teams.

Fire teams will have two hours to complete as many stations as possible.

– At 1500 squads will switch stations• Status – Facility reservation approved– ORM in development
