Creating a Split LipstickPrepare base shades in advance (dark and light)

1. Cut a 1 ¾ in. x 2 ½ in. piece of the blending sheet.2. Lightly prep your mold with Lip Release. 3. Place the blending sheet vertically between the two pegs at the middle of the bottom part of mold.4. Place the top part of mold around the blending sheet. You have now created a vertical wall in the lipstick mold. Tighten top and bottom of mold.5. Heat the dark shade first and pour into the highest side of the mold (where the tip of the lipstick would be). After the lipstick has cooled, take a straight blending knife and slice off the excess.6. Lay the mold on its side with the lipstick tip pointing towards you. Loosen and open top and bottom of mold. Place your left index and middle finger lightly on the blending sheet over the lipstick to keep it from shifting.7. Gently, with your right hand, slide out the blending sheet. Close, tighten and upright the mold.8. Heat up the lighter shade and pour it into the empty half. Once your lipstick has fully cooled, slice off the excess and slide on the lipstick case.
