improved appearance, insulate against galvanic corrosion and offer excellent environmental resistance. Adhesive bonding provides

cost savings due to reduced labor costs and assembly time.

The chart below is just a guide for choosing the proper adhesive for sign bonding applications. For more detailed information on

these adhesives and surface preparation, call the LORD Customer Support Center.

xx – Represents numbers for the family of adhesives to be utilized. Contact LORD Customer Support Center.

N – For non-structural bonding (assemblies where adhesive is used for aesthetic attachment in minimum stress areas).

* – Coefficient of thermal expansion is a major consideration when cross-bonding these substrates. Acrylic adhesives should not be used to attach large thermoplastic parts due to the

differences in thermal expansion.

† – Prepare metal by scuffing/abrading followed by a solvent wipe.

NOTE: LORD 406/19, 403/19, and 7542 are all UL recognized.
