Here is the latest from the NMS-DPS News Desk.

Gentle Reminders:

KG to Grade V and XI & XII: Date Sheet for the Summative Assessment II (KG to V) and Term II

exam (XI & XII) has been sent on Parent portal id.

Acer examination for grades III to X (optional) is to be held on 15th ,16th and 17th November 2016.

Please check the parents portal id for more details check circular Ref.NMS:CRP:055:16:17, dated 8th

September 2016.

Third language( French / Sanskrit) assessment for grades IV & V will be Conducted on

1st December 2016.

GRADES IV & V : On account of third language examination on 1st December 2016, classes will

remain suspended for grades IV & V only on 30th November 2016.

KG to Grades III & VI to XII: will be a normal working day.

Circulars for below mentioned external examinations are uploaded on parent’s portal id.

HIGHLIGHTS :

NMUN was organized for the students of grades VII to XII on 4th November 2016.

New Millennium School - DPS Kingdom of Bahrain

(Under the Aegis of Delhi Public School Society, New Delhi)

Mathematics Week was celebrated from 6th Nov to 9th Nov 2016 enthusiastically . During the

Mathematics week individual and group activities were conducted .

The highlights of the week were:

Special assemblies.

special events like interesting Mathematics facts,

video on “Integration of Mathematics with other subjects” ,

Skit on some famous Mathematicians were presented by the students of various grades.

Grade III to V :students prepared models on place value, Equivalent Fraction and 3D shapes, Activities

on Fraction, Factor Tree, Area . Article and Poem writing on Mathematics was also a part of this week.

Grade VI to VIII :students made working models on given topics like “Pythagoras Theorem”,

“Polyhrdron”,”Geometrical Garden” .Hands and Yardstick activities on “Addition of integers” ,”Angle

sum Property of a Polygon” also done.There was Maths Quiz and Sudoko Test conducted to check

Mathematical skills. Mathematics Aptitude Test (MAT)was conducted by FIITJEE for grades VI to VIII.

Grade IX to X: students made working models on various mathematics topics like”Clinometer”, Projects

on “Circles”, “Quadrilaterals”. There was Mathematics Quiz conducted for grades IX and X .

Grade XI to XII :students had seminar and Powerpoint Presentation on “Bayes Theorem”,”Conic

Sections”,”Binomial Theorem”.Some Mathsmusing Problems and Apptitude Test was taken for

developing competition skills and logical thinking.

A special assembly to celebrate ‘Mathematics Week’ was conducted for the students of grades

III to V.

An assembly was conducted by the students of ID for grades I & II. The theme for the assembly

was ‘Being respectful’.

An assembly was conducted by KG I B for the students of Kindergarten. The theme for the

assembly was ‘Sense Organs’

A special assembly was conducted for the students of grades VI to XII to celebrate ‘Mathematics

Week’.
