Message from the Guild President Get ready for a busy end of the month and beginning of next month. March 29th and 30th will be the Robb Barr Eagle Head
class. We will be using a Robb Barr Video Tape so the instructor will be Robb Barr. Be prepared to help each other. I have sent out the eagle head pattern and a list of tools that Robb has used for all of his classes. Therefore, not all of the tools on this list will be needed. If I get time I’ll try to figure out which ones we need but you all have done enough in our classes to probably figure it out too. By the way, the check marks and question marks on the tools list is not something I did. Those marks were there when I got the list.
I have new info on the braiding class. This is a 6 week course beginning on Tuesday, April 1st beginning at 5:30 until 7:30 PM. The cost is $50.00 and material for the first class will be supplied. A list of additional supplies and optional equipment and tools will be provided on the first day. There is a limit of 8 students so sign up with Ruben at the Tandy Store now. (See the notice in this newsletter).
One of our newest members, Brian Press, has tentatively volunteered to take over the Newsletter and re-establish our web site. Anybody have any information on our defunct web site? Many thanks to Tim and Teresa for the outstanding work they have done with the newsletter. The comments I have gotten from outside sources are that we have a very professional looking news-letter. Let’s all help Brian and provide input so we can keep up with the PSLAC’s Rawhide Gazette.
Paul Zalesak went to the Wickenberg show to work the crowd with his swivel knives. The reports are that he was well re-ceived. Don’t forget the Eldridge Award nominations. We need them by the June meeting.

The New Mexico Roadrunner Leather Artisans Guild is dedicated to promoting the art of leather craft in New Mexico and adjoining states. Our members are interested in all aspects of leather craft. We have members who work on sad-dles, horse gear, embossed pictures, figure carving, traditional Western style and Sheridan style carving, exotic skins and repair work.
We hold workshops and “show
and tell” demonstrations during our monthly meetings. Membership is open to everyone from beginner to professional leather crafters. We believe the interaction of individu-als at all craft skill levels results in all of us learning from each other.
