New Life Christian is a family of believers who love the Lord, one another, and do our best to live and reveal the love of Christ to the world around us. We are devoted to the Word of God and claim its joy, power and authority. We know that through Jesus Christ we have forgiveness, fellowship, friendship and peace. We know that we are far from perfect, but we also know that God is at work in our lives and forgives our failures. We know that there are few things that bring greater joy in life than sharing God’s Good News of Salvation and making new friends as we come to know Christ better. We know that “church” is not about the things we say or ceremonies or traditions. Instead, we un-derstand that church is all about growing, loving, learning and caring. We know that worship is not supposed to be stuffy and boring but is at its best when it is vital, rele-vant and even fun. We know that we would love to meet you and share the joy that we have found at New Life Christian Church.

VISION
STATEMENT:
Our vision is to provide
encouragement, connection,
and discipleship within Christ’s
church as we reach out in love to
witness to the world around us.
You are the light of the world, oh Lord,
And you make your servants shine.
So how could there be any darkness in me,
Since you are the light of the world?
You are the bread of life, oh Lord,
Broken to set me free.
So how could there be any hunger in me
Since you are the bread of life?
Wipe every tear away, oh Lord,
And teach us the song of the Lamb.
Your promise is true but it's still up to you
To wipe every tear away.
1 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,” for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” 5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” 6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Be-ginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. In 1922,a woman named Rhea F. Miller wrote a poem. In 1932,
a copy of that poem was placed on the top of an organ in a
family home in New York. Seated at the organ was a 23-year-
old musician named George Beverly Shea.
Miller's poem caught young George's attention. The words on
the paper rang true to the cry of his heart. And so, he set them
to music. Upon hearing her son singing this testimony of com-
mitment, George's mother came in from the kitchen, with tears
in her eyes, and encouraged him to sing the new song in church
the following Sunday.
As the congregants listened to George's deep voice sing out I'd
Rather Have Jesus, than silver and gold, little did they know
that the song was destined to become one of the most well-
known of all contemporary Christian songs.
A few years later, George joined forces with another young
man - Evangelist Billy Graham. Together they traveled the
world. Billy would preach and George would sing. His two
favorite songs were How Great Thou Art, and his signature
song, I'd Rather Have Jesus.
