Tuition Assistance Walkthrough

Federal Tuition Assistance

Before getting started, ensure that you have a copy of your class

schedule from the college. This will help you with entering in the

information into the education website. You must be registered

for classes BEFORE you can apply for Federal Tuition Assistance.

If you have accrued more than 9+ hours of college credit, you

will be required to provide the Education Office a copy of your

degree plan. This is a listing of courses that you are required to

take to achieve what degree you are trying to get. You may be

locked out of your account if you have failed to do this.

Federal Tuition Assistance

You can get a copy of your degree plan from the school's website

(meaning you can copy and paste it in an email) or you can speak

to your academic advisor about getting a copy. Once you get it,

you can email it to the Education Branch at:

nheducation@ng.army.mil

Federal Tuition Assistance

You may be locked out of your account if you failed to provide us

grades from the last semester. You can either take a "screen

shot" of your grades or you can make a photocopy of a college

transcript and email it to the following email address:

nheducation@ng.army.mil

In order to request Federal Tuition Assistance, you also must

have a valid CAC card and you must have a valid AKO email

address.

To apply for Federal Tuition Assistance, type in the URL:

https://www.education.ng.mil

Click mouse over the "Apply Online" Tab

Click on ARNG FTA underneath "Apply Online Tab"

Input your CAC Card into your Card Reader and click

“Log In With CAC”.

• CONTACT INFORMATION PAGE

– Verify your personal information and include any information not automatically generated.

– If a phone number is not present, click next to the heading to input a number.

• SCHOOL INFORMATION PAGE

– Click on the “School” Button to select your school from the list.

– Fill in all the information required and click “Next Step.”

• COURSE INFORMATION

– Click “ADD COURSE”, then you will see the screen below:

Insert all course information.

You will add all the courses you are taking during the semester to

ONE application

Tuition AssistanceYou should have all green

checkmarks. If you have a red X, go back to that part of the app and

complete.

You must click this link to finish. This is the Recoupment Policy. A

PDF File will open in a new window.

Once you have read this, the radio buttons below it will become

active. You must click “AGREE to Policy” to be able to click “Submit

Application” below.

You can now click “Submit Application”

If you click “Save and Exit” your application will not be finalized or

transmitted. You must click “Submit Application”
