A. Curriculum Highlights
Online Academic Classes
The Covid pandemic situation which started around March, forced us to start our new
academic session with online classes instead of offline. What would have been a new
session with children all around and the school resonating with their laughter, we ended
up brainstorming on how to take classes online for our students.
We started with our Zoom classes from April 1 onwards for classes 3-5. All the
concerned staff members were trained and given the requisite technical assistance in
order to take online classes successfully.
However, for classes nursery – 2, we stuck to videos, worksheets and modules
prepared by the teachers.
During this period, we also launched our parent portal. In order to facilitate the easy
access of the worksheets and modules to the parents, the portal along with WhatsApp
was being used extensively.
Along with studies, the students also attended reading, art as well as singing classes.
Periodically videos by the sports department and the dance department were also
shared with our students and parents.
Hence, it was of utmost importance to us to give a holistic approach to these online
classes.
Last year we had collaborated with a farming organization called SowGood, who
conducted integrated farming classes with class 3. This year too we had SowGood take
these classes online.
B. School Events
Founder’s Day
As is done every year, this year too
we celebrated the Founder’s Day on
April 7th, however, with a slight
twist. Our music department, in
collaboration with the technical
department and inputs from Mrs. And Mr. Roy, released a video celebrating Shri. A.C.
Deb’s complete journey from the start till the end. The video and the hard work was
well appreciated by all our staff members.

Earth Day
Earth Day, which had its 50th anniversary
this year, was celebrated with a video
uploaded on our school’s Facebook page,
website and YouTube channel with the
underlying message - The only way Earth will
survive is if each of us joins hands and takes
action today. We need to change the way we
live and function daily. Instead of taking from
her, we need to give back to the Earth. In order to do that, we need to make each day count
and plan for a better life.

World Dance Day
April 29th is celebrated as World Dance
Day. Students from classes nursery to 5
along with Sumit Samanta (dance teacher)
and P.C. Arun (WM teacher), came up with a
video which was uploaded on Facebook,
Instagram and sent to all parents and staff.
The students were asked to send a 10 - sec
video on the song “Can't stop the feeling”.
All the videos sent by the students were painstakingly consolidated into one and finally
the World Dance Day video was made.

C. Activities On Facebook
In order to keep the creativity alive in our children, we organized a few activities, which
helped and encouraged our children to share their thoughts and experiences in their
own way.
Online Art Event for classes 1 to 5
An online art competition - ‘Imagine – Draw – Colour –
Create’ was organized for the students of classes 1-5. The
students of each class were given a topic to work on.
More than 200 entries were received. Few of the art work
sent by the children was outstanding and showed
creativity at its best.
Mother's Day photo contest
We celebrated Mother’s Day with an online photo contest.
Students were asked to send their most memorable
photograph with their mothers. They were also asked to
send a small write-up on why this was their favourite
picture. The response was overwhelming. Some of the best
moments were uploaded on our Facebook page.
D. Teachers’ Enrichment Webinars
‘The Psychological Impact of the Lock-down on Children’, a webinar
conducted by Akshita Dutta, a child and adolescent psychologist and part of ‘I Am’
NGO was attended by all out staff members.
Coping with Anxiety and Emotions in the current time - a webinar conducted
