You can quickly gain access to common tasks related to the managing files.

For example you can open, save, print, and set permissions and also share presentations.

Merge and Compare Presentations

You can compare another presentation with your current presentation by using the new merge and compare presentations.

Useful if you work with others on a presentation but have to work on it at different times.

Slide Animation

There is a separate tab for animations now because there are so many more features and you can view it with out choosing the feature at first.

Video Editing The new feature includes you can edit video

inserted into a slide in PowerPoint. As you insert and highlight the video, new

format and edit cards appear.

Transition in between slides It allows you to define transitions between

individual presentation slides but before this you could do this using the Animations card.

Inserting screen shots

They have this in word and excel so they thought it was would be useful in a presentation.

You just screen shot the picture then paste the picture then if needed you can crop the picture also.

Create a video on PowerPoint Basically you can convert your PowerPoint

2010 to WMV video files directly in your presentation.

This is useful to share with others that are online

Organize your slides in sections

By using sections you can organize larger slides to be more manageable and easier to navigate.

It easier to label and group your sections in PowerPoint so its useful in many areas.

Effects to pictures

The new feature lets you change your pictures to look like a sketch, drawing, or a painting.

New effects: Line drawing, chalk sketch, watercolor sponge, mosiac bubbles, glass, cement, and many more.

New Smartart graphic picture layouts

It’s a new type of smartart graphic layouts where you can tell stories with your pictures.

Useful because it looks more professional and it shows better pictures for in use of a presentation.
