SF-A AND SF-B: SHALL BE SUPPLIED WITH LOOSE COMBINATION FAN AND LIGHT SWITCH. FANS SHALL BE SUSPENDED FROM EXISTING CEILING STRUCTURE AT 4500mm A.F.F. WIRING BY ELECTRICAL

CONTRACTOR.

4. MOTORS FOR IN-LINE FANS SHALL BE INSTALLED EITHER ABOVE OR ON THE SIDE OF THE EXHAUST FAN HOUSING AND NOT BELOW THE FAN.

5. EF-8 DOES NOT REQUIRE FILTER AND SHALL BE PROVIDED WITH ANTI-RUST COATING.

6. MECHANICAL CONTRACTOR SHALL SUPPLY CONTROLLERS, MOTOR STARTERS AND WEATHER-PROOF COVERS AND HAND-OVER TO ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR FOR INSTALLATION AND WIRING.

7. SWITCH FOR EF-6, 14, 15 AND 22 SHALL BE PROVIDED AND WIRED BY ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR.

1. DRAWINGS SHALL BE USED FOR REFERENCE ONLY TO PROVIDE A GENERAL OUTLINE OF THE SCOPE

OF WORK. THE DRAWINGS SHALL BE READ IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE SPECIFICATIONS AND ALL

OTHER DRAWINGS AND DOCUMENTS ISSUED AS PART OF THIS PROJECT.

2. PRIOR TO SUBMISSION OF BID, COMMENCEMENT OF WORK, ORDERING OF EQUIPMENT AND/OR

FABRICATION OF MATERIALS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VISIT THE SITE TO VERIFY EXISTING

CONDITIONS. THIS SHALL BE DONE IN ORDER TO CONFIRM THAT EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES CAN BE

INSTALLED AS SHOWN ON DRAWINGS. IT IS THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO NOTIFY THE

CONSULTANT OF ANY DISCREPANCIES, OMISSIONS OR INTERFERENCES PRIOR TO COMMENCEMENT

OF WORK. PROVIDE INTERFERENCE DRAWINGS. INCLUDE FOR ALL COSTS RELATED TO COORDINATION

OF OTHER TRADES' WORK.

5. PRIOR TO COMMENCING INSTALLATION OF NEW EQUIPMENT, CLEAN ALL EXISTING SUPPLY AIR,

RETURN AIR AND EXHAUST AIR DUCTWORK AND ASSOCIATED GRILLES. REPLACE EXISTING DAMAGED

OR DISTURBED DUCT INSULATION TO MATCH EXISTING. PRIOR TO CLEANING PROVIDE CLEANING

SCHEDULE AND PROCEDURE TO OWNER AND CONSULTANT FOR REVIEW. ISOLATE DUCTWORK IN THE

AREA THAT IS BEING CLEANED SUCH THAT ADJACENT AREAS ARE NOT AFFECTED.

6. PROVIDE NEW DUCT INSULATION UPTO 3 METERS FROM EXTERIOR OUTLET IF EXISTING INSULATION IS

MISSING. REPAIR DAMAGED / TORN EXISTING INSULATION.

7. ENSURE THAT ALL EQUIPMENT REQUIRING MAINTENANCE IS ACCESSIBLE. REPORT ANY

OBSTRUCTIONS TO THE CONSULTANT.

8. DUCTWORK AND EQUIPMENT SHALL BE INDEPENDENTLY SUPPORTED WITH PROPER SUPPORTS AND

VIBRATION ISOLATORS SECURED TO THE EXISTING BUILDING STRUCTURE. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE

RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL DUCT MODIFICATIONS TO CONNECT THE NEW EXHAUST FANS TO THE EXISTING

DUCTWORK INCLUDING NEW FLEXIBLE CONNECTIONS AT THE INLET AND OUTLET OF EACH FAN.

9. FOR CLARITY, NOT ALL EXISTING EQUIPMENT, DUCTWORK, PIPING, ETC. HAS BEEN SHOWN ON THE

DRAWINGS. THE EXISTING EQUIPMENT AND DUCTWORK ARE SHOWN FOR REFERENCE ONLY. EXACT

LOCATIONS, SIZES AND DIMENSIONS SHALL BE DETERMINED ON SITE.

10. FIRESTOP PENETRATIONS THROUGH FIRE RATED ASSEMBLY. FIRESTOPPING ASSEMBLY SHALL BE ULC

LISTED AND SUITABLE FOR THE SPECIFIC APPLICATION.

11. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE NEW FIRE-RATED ACCESS DOORS FOR ALL EXHAUST FANS LOCATED

ABOVE GYPSUM BOARD CEILING. SIZE AND LOCATION OF THE ACCESS DOORS SHALL BE SUITABLE TO

ACCESS FAN COMPONENTS INCLUDING FAN WHEEL, MOTOR, CONTROLS, UNIT MOUNTED DISCONNECT

SWITCH AND FILTER HOUSING, ETC. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR MAKING GOOD

GYPSUM BOARD CEILINGS WHERE DAMAGE OR OVERCUTTING OCCURS.

12. ELEVATOR CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL DEMOLITION AND NEW WORK RELATED TO

THE HYDRAULIC PUMP, MOTOR, ELEVATOR SYSTEM POWER PIPING, ELEVATOR SYSTEM CONTROL

WIRING, WIRING WITHIN ELEVATOR CAB, ETC.

13. ELEVATOR RELATED WORK CAN BE SCHEDULED ANY TIME ON WEEK DAYS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS.

14. WORK IN ADMINISTRATION BUILDING OFFICES AND FOYER SHALL BE SCHEDULED BETWEEN THE

HOURS OF 6:30 PM TO 6:30 AM ON WEEKDAYS AND ANYTIME ON WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS.

DISCONNECT AND REMOVE ALL WIRING AND CONDUIT FOR EXISTING LIGHT FIXTURE BACK TO SOURCE.

REMOVE AND DISPOSE OF ALL WIRING AND CONDUITS FOR EXISTING EXHAUST FAN BACK TO SOURCE, INCLUDING REMOVAL OF EXISTING BREAKER.

INVESTIGATE AND TRACE EQUIPMENT BEING CONTROLLED BY TWO (2) EXISTING RELAYS WITHIN FIRE ALARM SYSTEM (PANEL). DISCONNECT EXISTING WIRING AND RECONNECT TO NEW FIRE ALARM SYSTEM (PANEL). PROVIDE NECESSARY ACCESSORIESFOR THIS RECONNECTION TO NEW FIRE ALARM CONTROL PANEL.

EXISTING DUAL GANG SWITCH IS TO BE REPLACED WITH A NEW ONE. RETAIN EXISTING ELECTRICAL BOX AND CONDUIT INFRASTRUCTURE AND RECONNECT EXISTING LIGHTING LOAD. NEW EXHAUST FAN STARTER TO BE INSTALLED SEPRATELY, IF SAMECANNOT BE INSTALLED IN ELECTRICAL BOX. PROVIDE BLANK COVER AS NECESSARY.

EXHAUST FAN EF-20 AND 'CARBON DETECTOR' ARE FED FROM SAME CIRCUIT (CCT#60) OF PANEL KB. BE RESPONSIBLE TO DISCONNECT EXHAUST FAN EF-20 FROM THIS CIRCUIT. 'CARBON DETECTOR' SHALL REMAIN CONNECTED TO THIS CIRCUIT BUTWITH A NEW 15A-1P BREAKER (CONTRACTOR TO CONFIRM WITH 'CARBON DETECTOR' MANUFACTURER, PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION WORK, THAT 15A-1P BREAKER IS RECOMMENDED).
