Dear Colleague, We are pleased to invite you to a very exciting and intensive accredited educational activity designed specifically for physicians and advance practitioners involved in the management and treatment of patients with cystic fibrosis. During this half-day course, we will discuss the clinical impact of consequential respiratory pathogens, review long-term treatment data, examine the role of CFTR modulators, and discuss the impact of clinical comorbidities such as nutritional deficits and mental health issues. In addition, we will review highlights and data presented at the 2016 North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference and CHEST 2016. We will also interview a patient with cystic fibrosis and then discuss collectively strategies to improve patient and family education, to ensure smooth transitioning from pediatric to adult care, and to develop techniques to empower our patients and improve their treatment adherence. This educational activity is designed to be highly interactive and will be limited to a small number of participants. Please plan to register soon. We look forward to seeing you! Carlos E. pathogens. Choose among available aerosolized antibiotics by comparing safety,

efficacy, and long-term study data. Decide if a CFTR modulator is an appropriate addition to the treatment

plan based on patient specific criteria including mutation analysis. Involve the patient and/or family in decision making and outcome

monitoring in order to increase commitment to the treatment plan. Educate patient and family regarding best practices to prevent the

incidence and spread of infection. Screen older patients for nutritional deficits, comorbidities, mental

health issues, and difficulties with treatment adherence. Develop a comprehensive treatment strategy for the presented

patient case.
