Once elected and during your term as director, you will be wearing many hats. They are as follows:
• DIRECTOR – a member of the MAR Board of Directors.
• REPRESENTATIVE– you are a representative from the body who sent you, local board/association. However, when seated, you are representing MAR.
• CUSTODIAN/STEWARD – you have been trusted to make timely and wise decisions for the members’ assets.
• REALTOR® - an individual member of the REALTOR® Association at all three levels: Local, state, and national.

C – Your duty of care. Your interest and concern for everything in the real estate world and how the REALTORS® association is involved.
O – Your duty of obedience. Once the directors have made a decision, it is understood and expected that the directors will follow their own mandate(s).
A – Your duty of accountability. Your obligation and willingness to accept responsibility for your personal actions.
L – Your duty of loyalty. We assume that you are faithful to the cause of the REALTOR® association and will act accordingly to support their mission.

Sit with the Directors - Sit with the Directors - Directors have reserved seating in the front of the room. This is important to help distinguish voting members from guests

REALTOR® association and will act accordingly to support the mission and all of the members

•Attend any open Committees/Forums
•Most involve your input and ideas, between meeting work is limited to workgroups you would sign up for.

Registration not necessary – You don’t need to sign up to attend the committee meetings or BOD meeting. **However some fun or paid events require timely registration.
Hotels can fill up Quickly – You are responsible for your own hotel and room reservations.
