This packet, Consultant Manual on CD and Training DVD included in your Consultant Kit are tools designed to help you get your business off to a strong start. Please print this, follow along and take notes during the training. Welcome to Lemongrass Spa, we are so thrilled to have you join us! We want you to know just how important you are to us and this short video will help you in getting your business off to a successful start. Lemongrass Spa Products was founded in 2002 by Heidi Leist. She was passionate about using natural products after researching ingredients she was using on her own skin during her pregnancy with her second child. She and a friend hosted a fun spa party where they made their own aromatic bath salts in her friends’ kitchen. The ladies enjoyed it so much and Heidi couldn’t sleep that night…. she was brainstorming a business where women could share in the fun of discovering natural skin care ingredients all while getting pampered at a party. Her dream was to build a fun business where she could help women pamper themselves with natural skin care treats all while having the flexibility to have quality time with her family. Sharing information on natural skin care alternatives and offering gift of relaxation to guests and hostesses at spa parties became Heidi’s passion and her story. As a stay-‐at-‐home mom it’s important to me to buy healthy products for my family and Lemongrass had everything I was already buying in health food stores. After I held a few spa parties, I couldn’t believe just how fun they were and it offered a way for me to get out of the house and enjoy some girl-‐time. I’m saving the money I earn towards remodeling my children’s bedrooms with new furniture so that is very exciting to me. Getting Started Successfully This checklist of items will help you organize your business from your first day forward. ___Open a checking account and/or business credit or debit card (Visa, MC or Discover). ___Determine a place to keep all receipts for business supplies, stamps, pens, trial sized products, etc. ___Get a small notebook to keep in your vehicle to track mileage for business use. ___Create a business email account. ___Change your voicemail message and include Lemongrass Spa in it. ___Include Lemongrass in your email signature Advertise your email address, your phone number and your new replicated website address, ie: www.OurLemongrassSpa.com/ your ID so customers can shop online. ___Obtain personalized labels to apply to catalogs and flyers

How to Earn a Profit Step one on your journey to success: Hold 6 spa parties in your first 30 days. BENEFITS:
1) 6 parties x $350* volume per party = $2100 personal volume 2) $2100 x 30% (25% + 5% for $1500 PV bonus) = $630 INCOME 3) 6 parties x 2 bookings from each show = 12 new bookings 4) After a dozen parties, you are becoming confident & relaxed and you’re making a lot of money. 5) At this point you have more new customers (6 parties x 8 guests = 48 customers) 6) This leads to more potential recruits in order to increase your earning potential! (6 parties x 2
recruit packets shared at each party = 12 recruit packets given out = 1+ recruits) 7) Earn Jump Start Rewards and Product Bonuses (details explained later in this training)
*Average spa party for a new Lemongrass consultant depending on the number of guests and demographic. Not a guarantee of income or sales. • Schedule your first 6 parties including your own Launch Party. A sample of an effective Launch Party Invitation is included: Appendix 4. This document is also posted in the downloads in Word format so you can personalize it.
• Schedule with a diverse group of people to maximize bookings. Invite people from various ‘friend’ groups to avoid the excuse that “all my friends are already here”.
• Trigger your memory by using FRANK=Friends, Relatives, Acquaintances, Neighbors, Kid Contacts • You’ll want to get started on your “List of 100” by using your “FRANK” document right away. You’ll
refer to this List of 100 to secure your initial parties and from there, meet new people outside of this list for future bookings. See appendix 5.
• Share benefits of having a spa party experience vs. asking for a favor. • Use booking scripts provided (sample on next page).
It’s important to create a Lemongrass calendar used exclusively for booking your parties. You can color code it and block off time for family obligations, personal time or appointments and highlight available spa party dates. Refer to the Business Planner, Appendix 2.

An Effective Booking Script Begin with a positive, can-‐do attitude! When you let your passion and enthusiasm shine through, your potential guests will want to book parties with you. Make calls when you are well rested, feeling energetic and are in a quiet place free from interruptions. (HINT: Some consultants enjoy calling hostesses from their favorite coffee shop where there are less distractions and where they can enjoy their favorite beverage!) “Hi Susan, this is _________. How are you today? (pause) Do you have a moment? (pause). I’m so excited to let you know that I just joined Lemongrass Spa Products. Have you heard of Lemongrass? (pause) We are a spa products company and everything is handmade in Colorado with natural ingredients. I would love to share these natural products with you as part of a foot soak party for all your favorite friends. When was the last time someone invited you to enjoy a pampering foot soak, where the entire experience was focused on relaxing and spending time with your girlfriends? (pause) I can’t wait to let you enjoy these luxurious products, and you are going to fall in love with them. Since this is a brand new business for me, I want to start off with a bang and I am scheduling several parties this month. So…not only would I love to share Lemongrass with you, I would love for you to benefit as one of my first hostess’ and this will allow you to earn lots of wonderful items with our hostess rewards. I have a couple dates available this month; are you near your calendar? ….” Action Steps for Review Let’s review the action you will want to take for immediate success:
1. Watch this welcome video as many times as it is helpful for you. 2. Set up a follow up call with your sponsor as soon as possible to review questions you may have. 3. Make List of 100 contacts using FRANK as a memory jogger. 4. Determine the dates that you have open for your first six parties. 5. Highlight names within your list of 100 that you will contact to offer a spa party. 6. Use a different color to highlight those you would enjoy working with on your team. 7. Call your hostesses and book your first six parties. 8. Read your Consultant Success Manual located in the Downloads section of your website. 9. Read ‘How to Enter an Order” document that is listed on this web page when you are ready to place
a Lemongrass Spa order. 10. Attend a live spa party in your area or watch the DVD of a Spa Party included in your New
Consultant Success Kit when it arrives. 11. Put Lemongrass Trainings on your calendar and attend team meetings and phone conference calls
to boost your skills and increase your success. 12. Use the Lemongrass products daily so you can become familiar with them. 13. Set Goals for your business and review these with your director for support. 14. Read through the Gift Bag Game Cards and Instructions prior to your first party. The Gift Bag Game
offers an EASY and FUN way to demonstrate products because the cards have all the necessary information about the products.
