ccording to common sense, when we think of “service”, the first notion that arises is con-

nected with work that aims to satisfy individual or economic needs. at best, it designates activi-ties that do not generate material, tangible prod-ucts. this is not different from what happens to the word “charity”, frequently used as an act that leads to alms or giving benefits to someone in circum-stances of need.

on the spiritual path, service and charity have meanings that are very different and much broader. they consist not only of material help, but above all of the radiation of energies expressed by universal laws. they denote donation, surrender of oneself in the form of work, understanding, love, union and joy.

However, it is rishkamel’s message, presented in this 21st edition, that places the vibration of Charity in the correct proportion, as energy from the spir-itual heart, next to unity, peace and Compassion – qualities that are so necessary today.

in another text, we find the story of a majestic jaca-randa tree that has lived in figueira for a long time. it is a short account of a pure contact between the human, the vegetable and the devic Kingdoms. it narrates a meeting that was postponed many times, but that on happening reminds us of the f lame that is permanently alight in the interior of each being, waiting for the moment to be revived.

as central theme, we present the work with sound, the healing influence of music moved by a superior purpose. Highlight is given to the release of the CD Blanca Esencia that registers the new phase of the Chorale of figueira. they are ten tracks to be lis-tened to with an open heart, without our restricting ourselves to predefined concepts or forms. on page 3, when suggesting ways to handle mental prob-lems that currently disturb the planet, trigueirinho points out that this CD brings together sounds in conditions that attract us to our inner part and stimulate us to silence.

Harmony to everyone,

is, at this time, a movement that comes from the soul of the planet in such a way as to transmute or expel the negativity ac-cumulated for millennia, all of our atti-tudes, including prayer, enter this current of purification and renewal.

every request for help, on the part of human hearts, when sincere and accom-panied by the intention to transform ourselves, is heard by the collaborators of the humanity that serve on the inner planes. it is necessary today, more than ever, that we place ourselves under the protective mantle of the planetary spir-itual Hierarchy.

those who do not have the habit to work with these subjects can experi-ment, but with faith and with decision. the great augustine said that “those who sing pray twice”. in light of this, figueira and irdin editora have released a CD recorded by its Chorale, titled Blanca Esencia (White essence), com-bining sounds that for a little more than an hour attract us to our inner part and stimulate us to silence.

sounds, as we know, are instruments for us to get to the light, this mysterious understanding of life, mentally indefin-able, but known by the heart.

Could you comment on the increase of mental disturbances in the whole planet? How should we handle this situation?

mental disturbances can be fruits of our minds and our interest being turned to the material and concrete levels of life, and of dedicating almost nothing to the levels beyond the mental, to our “inner world”.

elevating thought, we should have the intention of disconnecting the threads that tie us to beings or things, letting the relationships f low simply. We should, also, live forgiveness, abandoning the past and positioning ourselves in the present, but without getting attached to any circumstance and always seeking to resolve them.

Consciousness can be developed in a wave of fraternity and of joy, so that ob-scure forces do not try to get close to our aura. let us make clear that there is a “cos-mic project” for the universe and that, to consciously participate in it, we must take decisions to put into practice our align-ment with the inner planes of life. the way to reach these planes is to transcend, with consciousness, the denser levels: etheric, astral-emotional and mental. since there

harity is born in a simple heart free of competitiveness.

While the seed of competition and of power is clouding your hearts, charity is like a fragile fragrance in the middle of a fu-rious hurricane: dissipating it-self even while it exists.

all the inner gifts are latent in the souls, but how many are those who dedicate themselves to sepa-rate the pure from the impure, the planetary from the cosmic, the ephemeral from the eternal? With-out charity your words turn into cutting blades that tear the hearts of these brothers and sisters that come close to you. Charity is like an energy that surrounds the inner part of the being, filling it with peace, blesses its immaculate and essential state, reestablishes its lost balance, reanimates the soul, revives values, frees it from guilt and opens new doors to it. Have you thought about the immediate effect of your words and thoughts on the inner part of your brothers and sisters? i tell you that the first impact goes right to their hearts and, if char-ity is not present, your words confuse the language of the heart that immediately recognizes that something is missing: charity.

Charity, mystery of unity, cannot be taught, but practiced and lived whenever there is spiritual free-dom between beings who recognize only one evo-lutionary goal and search in others only for their best, letting what is impure and inadequate burn in the inner f lame of service. servers are reconvened in these times of tribulation to reestablish evolu-tionary guidelines, complement efforts and shelter

the new seed. When

a brother or sis-ter is touched in his or her heart by the

f lame of chari-ty, his or her own

f lame burns sponta-neously without effort.

all the gifts are in this sacred place: the heart. Why do i tell you this? in previ-ous times, the involutionary forces, ignorant of the law, sowed competitiveness and search for power in many minds. this has brought repercussions in the evolution of humanity whose fruits are here: wars, disputes, lack of communication, intoler-ance. the plan of these dark forces was to cloud the mind of humanity by means of ambition, gen-erating competitiveness and inequality. the idea

was to bring down into the heart of human beings, through the mental sense of separation, that which we can know as discord, which signifies the rupture of the connection with the heart: dis (rupture) and cord (heart). thus, without wanting to, hu-manity has used all the force of their hearts to confirm sep-arateness. the descent of this energy to the heart has opened

an enormous wound in the integrity of humanity’s body. this wound is now being lovingly treated, even if most people still cultivate without knowing the weapons of ambition that will turn into blows against themselves.

as one can notice in current human life, this heart disease, discord, generates all the others and pre-vents the heat that is inherent to essences from uniting them in the inner altar that points to the

one goal common to all. We must reconsti-tute this fire among the hearts and charity is one of the f luids that are being reacti-vated in all the serving souls. this same fire will burn those residues of disunion absorbed along the evolutionary path of this planet. your minds are impregnated with this war material that is competitive-ness and that your civilization stimulates without knowing the amount of pain that is sown along with it.

brothers and sisters, the divine is om-nipresent, omniscient and omnipotent. only a sick mind will feel better than another or more advanced or in posses-sion of the truth. the origin of all this lack of peace will be more and more unmasked by the presence of elevated consciousnesses that, from the inner planes, bring healing to those who as-pire to get rid of the dark germ that is the search for power.

in the raima monastery we develop ener-gies of peace unknown to humanity, but deeply familiar to the awakened hearts. these energies are peace itself, free from situations or circumstances. peace is an inner state inherent to the confederate worlds – a natural fragrance in the inner worlds of the advanced civilizations that visit you, that cohabit with your planet and who call you to this healing by peace.

surrender yourselves to the energy of peace present in you and you will create the con-ditions for our Hearts to unite themselves with yours, warming them with glimpses of the superior life that has always waited for you. Now that you have decided to walk, pay attention to this furious and ignorant inferior fire that is ambition and competi-tiveness. be careful that it does not rise up the steps of the spiritual life. it is the cause of many illnesses that you see in your civilization and is the origin of the cruel dis-solution of many evolutionary works of other times. reflect on my words, because they are filled with this f luid: peace. No matter what the situation of your brothers and sisters is, open your-

selves so that they may be healed by peace, because in this way the healing of these wounds is cer-tain and charity is the regener-ated tissue that appears next.

the beings incarnated today are under the pressure of their cos-

mic registers added to their plan-etary registers. this causes an over-

burden in the heart that can only be endured by the innate energies of the

spiritual heart: Charity, unity, peace and Compassion. Without peace a being, even if awaken, continues ex-periencing in an unbalanced way this pressure from its process. this is because the furious wind of ambi-tion blows on its aspirations scents undesirable for superior evolution, which only ask of you surrender, permission, faith and something

which the obscure forces resist: sur-render of the human ego to the life of

the soul.

you live at a time of liberation through peace. Do not permit your better longings to be blemished by chaotic forces. invoke my Name, because it is a concentrate of peace and Charity.

in the silence of your prayers, you will contact this simplicity that returns to you that which has always belonged to you. essences that only give off the fragrances

that, as children of the same Creator, were received in the beginning to be shared dur-

ing their cosmic evolution.

go ahead lovers of peace and of Charity. my ray awaits you.

rossroads is a place where streets, roads, paths as well

as lives, destinies and beings meet. and one day i met the jacaranda tree at the crossroads. although i had been passing by it for such a long time, only this time it began to talk, to tell its story…or, better, for the first time i could really lis-ten to it. How much mystery one can find at a crossroads!life for the jacaranda tree at the crossroads was not easy. Very early in its life, while it looked in the soil for food and water for its subsistence, on one beautiful day it came across a great resistance: a huge flagstone of hard granite that prevented its roots from pro-ceeding into the soil. from this, its trunk could not grow properly, or straight. but it stood the trial and persisted. the same way that its roots had to bend due to the hard flagstone, its

trunk was also marked. one day rude men arrived, spoke loudly, made many gestures, and pro-jected a dark shadow. suddenly, it felt its trunk being cut, beaten and maltreated. a metallic thread, with very aggressive points, cold and torturing, penetrated and tied its body, strangling it. How long this torture lasted it could not say. and it was repeated in different parts of its trunk. each time, a new torture. it was infi-nite while it happened. it was like a piece of red-hot iron that pen-etrated, wounded, hurt. because they did not have enough fence poles, or because they did not move enough to have them, those men had used its trunk as a pole for a barbed wire fence. and so they hurt it badly.the rude hands went away. Now and then they returned. and eve-rything was repeated. However,

invisible creatures from the crea-tive Hierarchy took care of it day after day, and together shared its pain. the trunk then tried to embrace the cold, piercing metal thread, with the intention of sof-tening the pain of the jacaranda tree. but it was in vain, the cold iron had already penetrated it.

savior lightone beautiful morning in the spring, a light shone and came close. it was so intense that it seemed to be the sun, so dazzling that it could not make out what it was. the jacaranda tree con-centrated on the life that pulsed within it. it held its breath, sus-pended its circulation, prepared itself and surrendered itself. it

waited for what seemed an eter-nity, it waited. little by little, it felt that something in it was mov-ing, getting loose. it was such a great relief of its pain that, if it were human, it would have cried. and the relief was repeated. one more time. and another. and the light shone, and an infinite peace began to fill all of its being. it did not feel pain anymore. miracle? it could not say. and then the light withdrew itself.and suddenly it understood eve-rything that had happened. and it profoundly thanked that being who saved and liberated it. at that moment, its gratitude was so great that it still persists today, as in the day that everything happened. a new explosion of life began to run through all its being: roots, trunk, branches, leaves, flowers, fruits and seeds.from then on a new breath was born in its inner being and it be-gan to irradiate. the breath that still today vivifies and heals those who get close to it and who meet it...at the crossroads.other crises and trials that still happened after that day did not have the same force to weaken it anymore. its branches grew, still twisted and switching direction, but continued. a great har-mony was also beginning to externally shape its being. those who today look at it from a dis-tance, perceive somet h i ng , but cannot

say what it is. those who would like to know it must sit next to the jacaranda tree and become silent to be able to listen to what it has to say.

there, in that crossroads, from the top of a hill, the jacaranda tree can always see the rising sun. far away, in the horizon. it can hear the lesson that the rising sun brings to the earth every morn-ing, with its first rays: lesson of hope, message of consolation, breath of faith.

an unusual cureanother day, we went there to be with the jacaranda tree at the crossroads. How much wisdom, compassion and joy it irradiated that day. it embraced everyone, without distinction. it already knew pain and suffering, because it had overcome them in its life. the human being who was there and who suffered, through a kind of telepathy began to understand and also to transcend the fear, pain and the anguish it felt.

the jacaranda tree, that until then had

only listened, began to tell what it knew. None of its branches grew straight, correct. each curve rep-resented a trial won. if a resist-ance appeared, its persistence was kept, and the obstacle would be overcome. the branches that twisted themselves showed what it had overcome. and, unbeliev-able as it may seem, in all of them together there was great harmony. and right in the middle of the crown – where the trunk should have grown, if it had not turned aside– one could perceive a lumi-nous column, a great mystery. the invisible counterpart of the trunk was there, where the material trunk should have been. matter could not reach it, or fulfill it.another mystery was there. the invisible immaterial trunk there in the center, could thus welcome more light. Without the limitation that physical matter provides, the light that descends from above, without being imprisoned by mat-ter, could more freely fulfill the being, irradiate and heal. thus, the invisible trunk of the jacaran-da tree, full of light, transformed itself into a teraphim*, a powerful instrument of healing.except for a few people, such as the being who one day saved the jacaranda tree, today those who pass the crossroads, generally see nothing. life is now present in it again, strong in every particle of its being. it irradiates and heals, as it healed the human being that suffered and cried... at the cross-

roads.

*Teraphim – Object mag-netized by the Devic Kingdom which begins to emit energies of different qualities.

Blanca Esencia

he original purity of the heart, a phrase from the song

Blanca Esencia that inspired the title of the third CD by the Cho-rale of figueira, synthesizes very well the intention of what is of-fered to us in this subtle and deep work with sound. even with all the technical care with which it was elaborated, it is with the heart that one must listen to it.

the CD records a new phase of the Chorale that, with the ripening of its instrumental expressions, found a more encompassing defi-nition as the music of figueira. thus, compositions of spiritual inspiration – interpreted with in-struments only or conducted with voices in harmony with acoustic guitars, piano, flutes and percus-sion – have expanded the work of music as a message of healing.

there are ten tracks that in a se-quence transport us to another coordinate of time, as if we did not count the period of an hour shown

by ordinary clocks. We are initially introduced to Mensaje de los Rei-nos (message from the Kingdoms) and Natureza (Nature), that make themselves noticed throughout the whole disc: from the sound of wa-ter and the spontaneous participa-tion of birds, to the human and de-vic working out of the songs. later, opening the Puertas de la Com-pasión (Doors of Compassion), we listen to Sonata Bambu (bamboo sonata) and Llamado de Roraima (Call of roraima). going through Caminhos Sutis (subtle paths) we get then to Blanca Esencia (White essence) and to the Templo do Sol (temple of the sun). at last, in an attitude of Prece (prayer), we reverence Flor de la Paz (flower of peace): mahindra, a light that guides us.the subtlety of the harmonies developed and of the melodic constructions was preserved by the technical accuracy that was searched for to record the songs. Hours and hours of recording,

done with equipment that seeks to maintain the original sound as much as possible, were patiently worked until a pattern of quality was reached that was compatible with the concept defined for the CD. for this purpose, the energy of the seven material rays was evoked and provided everyone in-volved with a valuable process of learning. as points of adjustment were identified, the group evalu-ated the alternatives available and together opted for the best form and for the elevation of the vibra-tory pattern transmitted in each recorded song. thus, there was an attempt to apply spiritual teachings in the recording process itself. We may notice that the CD is the result of the expression of a group of beings that compose, play and record music as part of a work of inner alignment. and, as is pointed out in the text in the insert, it is an opportunity for contact with laws of harmony that open the way to silence and to the voice of the soul.

to express the teachings not only in singing, but primarily in their own lives. each one in his or her own stage, in a simple manner, fulfills his or her part. united, sharing only one purpose, they try to integrate themselves to be only one voice directed towards the Highest.

every time the songs are sung, they bring about new perceptions and a new understanding. the more we walk on this path, the more elements are unveiled. in the silence of the heart a universal language makes itself known and, through the means of subtle vi-brations of sound, radiates itself.

inspired by this activity, groups connected with figueira from var-ious cities in brazil and argentina have also begun to develop choir singing using the same repertoire. both the Chorale of figueira and the other ones rely on stable par-ticipants and are receptive to new members and to vocal or instru-mental collaboration.

in the box beside, we find a score of music used in the Chorale’s practice.
