Activity, Update Preferences or Start a New Application.

Updating Preferences

Starting a New Application

Found on Dashboard/Home Screen

View/Manage Existing Application(s)

Select the application under Recent Activity or select All Activities under Manage.

All Activities allows the

agent to sort their

applications by

timeframe and status.

Once All Activities has been selected, the agent can also view, delete or copy an application.

If copy is selected, the agent has the option to Copy As Is or Copy With Changes.

Once a case is copied or New Application is selected, the agent can select the appropriate Jurisdiction and

Product Type (Fixed Annuity, Fixed Indexed Annuity, and Variable Annuity).

Please note: All Great American products will be visible in this portal and may not be approved for sale by your firm.

Once the product has been selected, select the Residence State (required).

A list of required forms will display. Select Create to proceed.

A Create box will appear. Type the Name for the application, then Create. The application will appear.

Clicking the Open field expands the forms in the package.

Tax Qualifications, Type of Owner and

Transfer (Yes/No) will populate. The

agent will see an option to pre-fill client

data from a CRM or to receive the policy

contract electronically.

These answers dictate the required fields

on the application and miscellaneous

forms.

Red forms indicate required fields are still pending. Black forms indicates completion. Any form may be selected to

view at any time.

While completing an application, a red bubble will appear if there are required fields that have not been filled in.

Clicking on the bubble will display the unique error message on the required field.

Various questions will appear on forms to determine if any additional forms are required. See example below:

Selecting the box indicated will tell the system to generate a Third Party Check form. These questions will not

appear on the PDF version of the forms packet.

Some of these fields are not required to be answered, so if an agent misses the field, they may get an error message

and the required form may not automatically generate.

Additional Forms

There are forms that will generate based on required forms questions. For example, the Financial Inventory

Worksheet will generate if the premium is $250k+ or the answer to the Client Financial Disclosure requires it.

If Click to Upload your Signed Documents is selected, the Applications Documents box will appear.

The Home button on the toolbar will direct the user back to the Main Menu and prompt to Save Before Returning.

Other Actions will provide several options as shown below.

Home – takes user back to Main Menu and prompts

Save – saves the application

Save As –name or rename the app after the initial

naming when the product/jurisdiction is selected

Log Off – logs user out of Firelight

Once all forms are complete, the Continue button will populate to allow the user to proceed with e-signature or

decline and submit the application without signatures.

The agent may also select the Continue button at the top of the Forms page.

Once E-signature or Decline E-signature are selected, no further changes can be made to the application.

When E-Signature is elected, the agent or client may sign first, depending on how the firm is set up.

Select Sign Now or Send Email Request and sign later.

After selecting Sign Now, the user will be prompted to enter Verification Information

Once verification is complete, all documents must be reviewed.

The agent will then need to sign and enter their name and city. An option will be provided to use typed text or signing

with a mouse.

When all signatures are complete, select the Continue button.

Confirmation Dialog window will appear, informing user that no further edits are allowed and the application will be

submitted. (Transmitted to a distributor’s review queue or directly to Great American).

Once the application has been submitted, a confirmation email is sent to the client and agent. The application history

and PDFs are still viewable in Firelight.

The application will transmit directly to Great American, either upon submission or after it’s sent from a distributor’s

review queue. Any forms that require a wet signature should either be faxed after submission, or uploaded before

the case is submitted to Great American.
