Accufuser is a disposable infusion device that provides liquid medication at an accurate, select-

able flow rate, and additional bolus dose. The device is composed of an elastomeric silicon reservoir, which enables

pumping in the absence of an external power source, and a flow restrictor, which controls the flow rate, and patient

controlled analgesia(PCA) module, which enables additional bolus dose. New Accufuser offers an accurate and

selectable flow rate and an additional bolus dose via a PCA module, which would allow an adjustment in medication

dosage corresponding to the level of pain experienced by a patient.

Secondary balloon provides easiness of bolus infusion by overcoming resistance of thin epidural catheter. Once bolus button being pressed, the medication is transferred to the elastic secondary balloon, which infuses the medication in seconds.

Basal flow rate can be set by rotating the flow rate controller and aligning the desired flow rate to the arrow with the supplied M-series key. The selector key is detachable and may be detached at discretion of the medical staff.

● Flow rate of Accfuser is calibrated at following conditions. - Normal saline 0.9% - Temperature 23±2 - Reservoir and Flow controller should be at the same height Any change in above conditions will affect the flow rate.

● Accuracy : Average actual flow rate of Accufuser is as accurate as within ± 10% of nominal flow rate.

● Particles in the medication will occlude the system. Mixture of drugs with different pH values may result in precipitation to form particles.

● Residual volume of Accufuser is less than 2ml.
