Preconditions for Installation

Room

Equipment is designed for use in indoor conditions.

The room, where the equipment is used should be moisture proof. Ventilation is recommended, as in the working regime the machine creates humidity.

It is recommended to have a general drain on a floor.

Doors must be wide at least 90 cm.

Power

Power cord material at least 3 x 2,5 mm² copper crosscut. Power cord location connected to the moisture proof

Junction box on the wall close to the equipment.

Maximum power consumption for equipment at a time is 4,5kW.

Protective device current in front of equipment feeder is 20A

Water

Water connection - 2 water pressure hoses are required one for hot, another for cold water with one ending being 3⁄4 threaded length of hoses depend upon the distance from the water inlets.

Drainage - water drainage hose should be of Ø 50 mm length of drainage hose depending on the distance from drainage opening on the ground.

Electric Connection Electric installations of NeoQi® Pro equipment should be carried out by qualified specialists or official representative of NeoQi® AS. NeoQi® Pro is CLASS I EQUIPMENT in which protection against electric shock does not rely on BASIC INSULATION only, but which includes an additional safety precaution in that means are provided for the connection of the EQUIPMENT to the protective earth conductor in the fixed wiring of the installation in such a way that accessible metal parts cannot become live in the event of a failure of the basic insulation.

NeoQi® Pro is TYPE B EQUIPMENT, providing a particular degree of protection against electrical shock, particularly regarding: - allowable leakage current (10 mA); - reliability of the protective earth connection. NeoQi® Pro equipment is according to the degree of protection against harmful ingress of water IPX5, providing protection against WATER JETS. NeoQi® Pro equipment is not suitable for use in the presence of a FLAMMABLE ANAESTHETIC MIXTURE WITH AIR or WITH OXYGEN OR NITROUS OXIDE.

Water Connections Warm and cold water inlets and drainage connections of NeoQi® Pro equipment should be carried out by qualified specialist or official representative of NeoQi® AS.

For proper functioning of equipment only clean tap water should be used. In case the tap water contains high percentage of abrasive substances or rust, it is recommended to install a water filter.

Initial Warm-Up Session

Switch on the steam sauna function from upper control panel. Icon is appearing on the screen into small frame.

Select the maximum steam temperature by pressing on +/- buttons until steam icon is in frame. Set temperature to 48º C. The timer will automatically switch on to 30 minutes.

After the steam session has stopped, switch on the infrared sauna function by pressing on the IR sauna button. Icon on screen is starting to work.

Select the maximum infrared temperature by pressing on +/- buttons until display shows 50º C. The timer will automatically switch on to 30 minutes.

Fill the tub with water by first closing the tub drain by sliding the drainage valve into the left-side position.

Open the cold and the hot water taps. When the water level reaches ~ 1 cm above the back jets, close the water inlet. Now switch on all the hydrotherapy functions of the tub from lower control panel for 5 minutes:

Close the cover of equipment and turn on the first program of the Vichy shower for 5 minutes.

Empty the tub and air the equipment (turn on air blower for 1 minute, then water is thrown out from bottom jets). Now the equipment is ready for use.

In case any of the functions will not operate please contact the local dealer.

Maintenance

Regular service for specified parts is very critical for equipment’s long life and faultless functioning. Routine maintenance for safe operation includes cleaning, using disinfection, and visual control of the equipment’s overall condition.

IMPORTANT: if equipment is not serviced systematically and correctly the guarantee does not hold.

As a proof of servicing you need to report the Neoqi representative every time after the service. In case of guarantee reclamation, decision upon guarantee, the general status of the equipment will be evaluated referring to the service report.

Service Works:

1. It is important to clean the equipment’s water systems from scale regularly with Kalksanering (currently available from NeoQi).

2. Steam generator cleaning. It is important to clean the steam generator regularly depending on water quality for steam function’s faultless functioning.

Try to avoid scratching the acrylic surface with hard elements (sand, finger ring, etc.). Also be careful falling heavy and hard elements on to the equipment surface.

Visual control of the equipment’s overall condition should be carried out continuously.

Water System Cleaning

It is important to clean the equipment regularly with Kalksanering (currently available from NeoQi) to avoid jet and mud filter block, also problems with

pump. Kalksanering is chemical against scale. You need to clean the water system after every 150 sessions.

Cleaning steps:

• Scatter 1 kg of Kalksanering on the bottom of tub, dissolve it with warm water. • Now fill the tub with warm water. • Operate all massage zones within 15 minutes. • Stop the pump for 30 minutes. • Operate all massage zones again within 15 minutes. • After draining, rinse tub with cold water using hand shower. • To flush fill the tub with cold water and operate all functions for 2 minute.

Drain the tub. Cleaning is done.

Steam Generator Cleaning For faultless steam function operation you need to regularly clean the steam generator. This procedure don’t take more than 15 minutes and is easy to do.

In order to find out appropriate service schedule, first you need to evaluate quality of the water. We recommend to use Vital EASYTEST.

Cleaning Steps:

• Open the Gen. Wash cap. • Pour into Gen. Wash hole 250 ml cleaning liquid. • Turn the steam function on and let the water boil about 2 minutes (you can see

when the steam is coming out from the hole, then it’s boiling). • Turn all the Pro off from the main ON/OFF button and wait for 10 minutes. • Turn the black tap to open (under steam generator) position and wait for 2

minutes and close the black tap correctly. • Turn the Pro on from the main ON/OFF button and wait for 5 minutes. • Turn on the steam function and let it to work for 5 minutes (you can see the

steam is coming out from the hole) and turn steam function off from control panel. Wait 2 minutes and steam generator cleaning is done.

Other Technical Details The fused utilized in the main supply circuit external to permanently installed equipment: Circuit breakers 20A Used equipment cannot be transported or stored below 0 degrees C.

Minimum water capacity to operate the hydrotherapy tub is 162 liters. Water capacity for tub to reach drain overflow is 200 liters. Maximum allowed load on the vibrating bed and the tub is 135 kg.

Terms of Warranty

NeoQi® cocoon is warranted to be free from defects in material or workmanship for parts and labour for a period of 1,5 (one and a half) years or 1500 (one

thousand five hundred) working hours, which ever comes first, from the date of purchase, but no longer than 24 months from the date of shipment from the producer.

The warranty will be invalidated and all forms of liability excluded if:

• The appliance is subject to non-expert intervention or modification, • Quality report coupon is not sent back to the producer (by mail or post) and no

proof of purchase is provided confirming the date of purchase and the name of supplier.

This warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear; • Intentional or negligent damage; • Damages through failure to follow instructions for use (brought out in user’s

manual); • Incorrect location or installation; • Connection to an incorrect power supply; • Damages caused by accidents; • Damages from chemical and electrochemical corrosion or through other abnormal

environmental conditions; • Glass, paint or enamel damages; • If the equipment was attempted to be repaired by any other than NeoQi® AS or

the distributor’s qualified maintenance personnel. NeoQi® AS undertakes to rectify defects, or to have such defects rectified, which are verified as having occurred within 18 months of the handover of the appliance, free of charge. NeoQi® AS also reserves the right to replace

defective parts or the complete product, at its discretion. Any other claims, particularly claims for compensation for damage not applicable to the appliance itself or arising as a consequence of an excessively delayed

repair or replacement delivery, are excluded.

Claims under warranty must be accompanied by the invoice raised by NeoQi® AS or local authorized representative.

Guide for ERRORS on Screen If your cocoon gives some error message on the screen and does unusual sound at the same time, then there is something wrong with the system. Mainly all these problems comes from steam generator. But if you maintain your cocoon regularly then malfunction is infrequent. CONTROL PANEL IS BLIND Symptoms: If you trying to start operate with control panel, but power ON/OFF switch doesn’t respond.

Solution: Reset whole machine main power supply. Wait for 10 seconds and put machine back into circuit.

ERROR 1 Symtoms: On the screen displayed as E1. This is malfunction of temperature sensor. If sensor breaks out or happens short circuit then you see E1 on the screen. At the same time you can hear a sound: “Du, Du, Du …”. Control panel buttons doesn’t work.

Solution: Reset main power line to cocoon. Start to operate cocoon again. If problem stands, then disconnect main power to cocoon and replace temperature sensor.

ERROR 2 Symtoms: On the screen displayed as E2. This is alert from water level sensor in steam generator. This error appears 60 seconds after the activation of steam function. On the screen you can see E2, you hear a sound: “Du, Du, Du …” and control panel doesn’t respond. Problem appears if there is no water in steam generator, water level is too low or water level sensor is dirty.

Solution: Be sure that steam generator filling is working. Do you have water supply to cocoon? Do steam generator cleaning, water level sensor can be dirty and doesn’t get the signal from water. If there is water supply and no respond, then walk through steam generator data cable, maybe level sensor cables are loosen.

ERROR 3 Symtoms: On the screen is displayed as E3. This is alert from water level E2 error. If E2 has been over 2 minutes on the screen, then E3 appears on the screen. You hear a sound: “Du, Du, Du …” and control panel doesn’t respond.

Soulution: Be sure that steam generator filling is working. Do you have water supply to cocoon? Do steam generator cleaning, water level sensor can be dirty and doesn’t get the signal from water. If there is water supply and no respond, then control through the steam generator data cable, maybe level sensor cables are loosen.

ERROR 5 Symptoms: On the screen is displayed as E5. This alert appears if steam generator heating element is too hot – over 108℃. There is no water inside steam generator and heating element will be protected of over heating. You a hear sound: “Du, Du, Du …” and control panel doesn’t respond.

Solution: Stop function, wait until heating element is cooler. Check water supply to steam generator. Steam generator can be empty of water.

ERROR 6 Symptoms: On the screen is displayed as E6. This appears when water can’t get out from steam generator after steam procedure. There is E6 on the screen, you hear a sound: “Du, Du, Du …” and control panel doesn’t respond.

Solution: Disconnect cocoon from main power supply. Check for drainage valve. Maybe it is stuck inside the socket or doesn’t get the voltage of 12V.

Important Cautions and User Safety Information

When operating this system, the following procedures must always be followed: IMPORTANT: Read carefully the Section 2 of this manual - “General Instructions and Health Precautions” - to avoid any health risk or adverse effects of using the cocoon!

WARNING: Do not allow clients to bathe for too long in too hot water or sauna temperature. First time users should get accustomed to the system, prior to experiencing longer sessions. Supervise clients during treatment. In the interest of good hygiene practice, all bathers should shower and

thoroughly wash their body immediately prior to using the system. To reduce the risk of injury, do not permit children, the elderly, or mentally/physically challenged persons to use this system unless without closely supervised at all times by service personnel. The safety, reliability and performance of the NeoQi® equipment can only be guaranteed, provided that: • installation and any operations

involving additions or repairs should be carried out by qualified specialist or official representative of NeoQi AS.

• the installation complies with the applicable regulations in force in

section “INSTALLATION” of the current manual.

Never operate this product if it has a damaged cord or if it is not working properly, if it has been dropped or damaged. Contact the NeoQi AS service centre for examination or repair. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Use only clean tap water to fill the bathtub. No salted water can be used in bathtub as it can cause corrosion of metallic spare parts. Do not insert any objects into any openings. Prolonged immersion in hot water may induce hypothermia.

Do not use this system immediately following strenuous exercise. The use of alcohol or drugs can greatly increase the risk of fatal hypothermia when using this system. People using medication or having an adverse medical history should consult a medical doctor before using this system. Pregnant or possibly pregnant women should consult a medical doctor before using this system. In the interest of good hygiene practice, the tub surface and vibrating bed should be cleaned after each use. Use a liquid disinfectant and rinse thoroughly with fresh water. Use the hand shower for this purpose.

Health Precautions Procedures in the NeoQi® cocoon are contraindicated in the below mentioned cases:

• Acute trauma, inflammation • Fever • Acute inflammatory and allergic

skin disease, wounds • Cardiovascular insufficiencies,

heart disease, hypertension

• Impaired circulation • Bleeding diatheses • Advanced diabetes, esp. Type I • Oedema • Large scars • Impaired sensation • Malignancy • Cognitive or communication

deficits that preclude reporting of discomfort, pain

• Pregnancy Please consult with the physician whenever uncertain about any condition or response. !! Post treatment rest period - The body should be allowed to rest for at least half an hour after a full body hot application to allow body to return to normal temperature level. !! Obviously, should any condition worsen, discontinue the use of NeoQi® cocoon. Cardiovascular insufficiencies, heart disease - Heat and cold applications that increase the heart rate and force of contraction are contraindicated in heart disease as it may overwork an already weakened heart. Hypertension - Heat and cold applications that increase the heart rate are contraindicated due to the stress on the heart. Cancer - Caution is advised when treating clients with cancer. It is best to work with the consent of a physician. Haemorrhage - Caution is advised when treating a client who has a tendency to haemorrhage. Applications of heat and cold, which cause vasodilatations, increase the possibility of haemorrhage. Haemophiliacs and anyone predisposed to haemorrhage

should avoid any type of heating that would induce vasodilatation, which can potentate the tendency to bleed. Decreased Sensation - Any condition in which the client has a decrease in sensitivity of the skin, therapy is contraindicated, as they may not be able to feel if the skin is too cold or hot. Weakness – Hydro/heat therapy may be contraindicated for a client who is weak as a treatment may worsen the weakness. Anaemia - Full body application of heat increases cellular demands for oxygen that cannot be supplied if the client is anaemic. Skin lesions - Applications are contraindicated in the case of broken skin or other skin irritation that may be exacerbated by hot or cold. Skin lesions such as pustules, papules, blisters that are infected may rupture due to increased vasodilatation and are contraindicated. Pregnancy - Full body hot applications to a pregnant woman are contraindicated, as they may be associated with an increased incidence of birth defects. This contraindicates the use of hot tubs and other steady- temperature hot full body baths, saunas as well as local applications of heat to the abdomen.

If you are pregnant or suspect you may be, discontinue your sauna use. Finnish women use their saunas, which heat don't impact as deeply into the body, for only 6-12 minutes and reportedly leave at that time, due to perceived discomfort. Their usage at this low level of intensity is not linked to birth defects. IR of NeoQi® cocoon use may be 2-3 times more intense, and comparatively shorter 2-6 minute sessions hardly seem worth any minimal risk they may present. Pacemakers - Vibromassage is contraindicated for people with pacemakers. Epilepsy – Vibromassage is contraindicated for people with epilepsy. Peripheral vascular disease - The underwater massage is contraindicated for venous disorders, thromboses and varicose. Arteriosclerosis and arteriosclerosis clients may have weakened or blocked arteries. Heat applications increase tissue metabolism and demand for oxygen making heat applications contraindicated. Pulse - Heart rate should not exceed 140 beats per minute as it may overstress the heart. Monitor with lateral anterior wrist. Diabetes Mellitus - Advanced diabetes, especially Type I (juvenile onset) can decrease the client's ability to sense

tissue damage especially in the lower extremities. The vascular damage caused by this disease also decreases blood flow to tissues. Heat is contraindicated in these areas. Consult the physician. Skin sensitivity – Cold water applications are contraindicated for clients who have suffered from frostbite previously or who have hypersensitivity to cold due to Raynaud's disease or other conditions such as low blood pressure. Hypothyroidism - Cold water applications are contraindicated in clients with hypothyroidism which further causes a reduction in basal metabolic rate Kidney problems - Cold is also contraindicated in kidney malfunction or disease. Inflammation - Heat applications are contraindicated in acute conditions of inflammation such as bursitis, arthritis, tendonitis, sprains and strains. Vigorous heating is strictly contraindicated in cases of enclosed infections be they dental, in joints or in any other tissues. If you have a recent (acute) joint injury it should not be heated for the first 48 hours after an injury or until the hot and swollen symptoms subside. If you have a joint or joints that are

chronically hot and swollen, these joints may respond poorly to vigorous heating of any kind. It is considered inadvisable to raise the core temperature in someone with adrenal suppression, systemic lupus erythematosus or multiple sclerosis by some authorities. Metal pins, rods, artificial joints or any other surgical implants generally reflect infrared rays and thus are not heated by this system. Infrared use must be discontinued if you experience pain near any such implants.

Silicone does absorb infrared energy. Implanted silicone or silicone prostheses for nose or ear replacement may be warmed by the infrared rays. Since silicone melts at over 200°C it should not be adversely affected by NeoQi® cocoon infrared sauna use. It is still advised that you check with your doctor. ! ! Do not attempt to self - treat any disease with NeoQi® cocoon infrared sauna without direct supervision of a physician.

Basic Components of Your Cocoon

NeoQi® cocoon upper part is operated by digital control panel. Control Panel A is mounted on the console above the face and on the upper part side. It operates features of equipment’s upper part.

NeoQi® cocoon lower part is operated by three pneumatic buttons. Pneumatic buttons are mounted on the right side of headrest on the bathtub and operates tub functions.

FUNCTIONS ON CONTROL PANEL A (upper part of equipment)

Warm-up session

Before procedure: First switch the machine ON from the ON/OFF button on the Control Panel. Before starting to use steam, aroma and infrared sauna you have to warm-up the equipment’s upper part. This ensures extreme comfort at the maximum level for the client from the beginning of the procedure.

Now switch on the steam function from the Control Panel A (see figure) and select the desired steam temperature. It takes approximately 10 minutes to warm–up the sauna. After the temperature has reached 39ºC, the sauna is ready to use. NeoQi® cocoon will keep this temperature level. It is also possible to regulate temperature throughout the session.

Elaborate the specific needs of your client. For example, whether he/she needs simply to relax, to burn kilocalories etc. and then confirm the plan of the procedure or treatment session with the client. Important: All the functions of the cocoon can be shut off by pressing the ON/OFF button. The client must be informed of the location and operation of the ON/OFF button prior to activating any functions!!

During procedure: After the warm-up session the cocoon cover can be opened and the bather can now lie down onto the vibrating bed. The cocoon cover should be closed slowly and carefully. IMPORTANT: When placing client into cocoon, following safety precautions must be always observed when opening or closing cocoon cover: Cocoon cover should be always maintained in fully opened or fully closed position. Fully open position is achieved when cover is resting fully back against the hinge stops.

When client is comfortably positioned on the vibrating bed table, the cocoon cover should be slowly and carefully lowered, making sure that client’s head, arms and legs are completely contained within the cocoon cover enclosure. Never leave the capsule in a partially open or closed position! Switch on the necessary functions to see if your client has found a comfortable position in the NeoQi® cocoon. Please remind to your client that it is possible to be on the back, abdomen and on one side during the procedure. While using different sauna functions, it is possible to switch on face fan. Face ventilation, which is like soft breeze, adds comfort and is important to guarantee good feeling during the whole procedure. Adequate ventilation is necessary to retain free, regular and peaceful breathing rhythm. Please observe that client would feel himself comfortably during procedure and regulate temperature if necessary. We strongly advise to start first sessions with lower temperatures and while body gets used to temperature, it can be increased. After procedure:

After sauna client can use the hand shower. In that case you have to give all appropriate instructions before procedure. It will avoid needless disturbing and causing of discomfort to your client after procedure. For independent use of hand shower it is necessary to open cocoon cover, to rise into sitting position, set hand shower by special quick-connection, pressing feature hose into the appropriate socket (water is starting to flow), choose desired water temperature from thermostat. Procedure is performed properly if the therapist will rinse and clean the client’s skin after combined body procedures like infrared + body wrapping or parafango therapy. We advise to use high density polyethylene roll to cover vibrating bed (small particles from the wrappings wouldn’t fall into the bath) and offer to your client disposable panties. Offer refreshments to your client – advisably clean water or herbal treatment tea after procedure. Remind to your client that the body should be allowed to rest for at least half an hour after a full body hot application to allow it to return to normal temperature level. Therefore the post treatment rest period is especially important during the cold season to avoid catching a cold.

Steam Sauna

NB! Steam sauna should only be taken on vibrating bed!

Now fit vibrating bed on the bathtub. Plug power cord into the backside of the equipment. After the warm-up session, cocoon cover can be opened and the bather can now lay down onto the vibrating bed. If needed, then body treatment products should be applied at that time and cocoon cover should be closed slowly and carefully.

Put a special piece of cloth to opening area near the client’s head it offers maximum steam effect to the body. The Neck Cloth will prevent excessive steam escaping from the cocoon during treatment. Neck Cloth is available in NeoQi® supporting products range. To activate steam function, press on the STEAM button from Control Panel A. Steam indicator will appear on the screen and it is surrounded by a circle (steam will be generated within few minutes).

To select desirable temperature of steam sauna, press the +/- buttons, while circle is around the steam icon on the screen. Display shows temperature selection. It is possible to regulate steam temperature throughout the session. For that, you must hold finger at least 2 seconds on steam button and on the screen, steam icon is in circle again. Now press +/- buttons to regulate steam temperature. Temperature must be selected according to individual needs of each person and should be lower for first sessions. Typical temperature is between 38-42ºC. It is important to communicate with client throughout the session to ensure that temperature is comfortable.

WARNING: Please do not use concentrated 100% aroma oils and synthetic aroma liquids for aroma treatment. They can seriously damage acrylic surface on your cocoon. For aroma treatment you can use aroma emulsions (for example: milk emulsion, wine emulsion). If you have any questions, ask from your local NeoQi distributor. The manufacturer will not cover as a warranty the acrylics surface damages caused by the improper use of concentrated aroma oils or synthetic aroma liquids.

To shut OFF the function, press on STEAM button once again.

If you open a cocoon cover during the session, then steam function will remain to work.

Aromatherapy

Fill the special container attached on the steam jet with desired aroma emulsion. During the steam sauna session, aroma from container will spread especially and strongly inside the cocoon. After the session, simply wash the residual aroma emulsion away from container.

Aromatherapy function is activated only together with steam function. Don’t touch steam nozzle and cap during the procedure and after that, because hot surface can damage your fingers.

Infrared Sauna

To use Infrared Sauna function, place vibrating bed on the bathtube. NB! Infrared Sauna should only be taken on vibrating bed! NB! Infrared sauna and vichy shower functions can not work at the same time.

WARNING! Do not let water contact the IR heating element – it can damage the lamp. After the warm-up session cocoon cover can be opened and the bather can lie onto vibrating bed. Cover of cocoon should be closed slowly and carefully. To activate Infrared sauna function, press on the INFRARED button. Infrared indicator will appear on the screen and is surrounded by a circle. (you will feel heat after few minutes).

To select desirable infrared sauna temperature, press the +/- buttons, while indicator is in circle on the screen. Display shows temperature selection. It is possible to regulate infrared temperature throughout the session. For that you must hold finger at least 2 seconds on infrared button and on the screen, infrared icon is in circle again. Now press +/- buttons to regulate infrared temperature. Temperature must be selected according to the individual needs of each person and should be lower for first sessions. Typical temperature is between 38-42ºC. It is important to communicate with client throughout the session to ensure that temperature is comfortable. To shut OFF the function, press on INFRARED button once again. If you open cocoon cover during the session, then infrared functions will remain to work.

Face Fan

To maintain normal breathing during the different sauna functions, turn on the face fan function. To activate function, press on the Face Fan button. Face fan indicator will appear on the screen (you will feel air flow on your face).

To shut off the function, press on FACE Fan button once again.

Vichy Shower

To use Vichy Shower function, place vibrating bed on bath tube. NB! Do not fill the bath with water when Vichy Shower operates from the water supply!!! NB! Vichy Shower should be taken only on vibrating bed! NB! Infrared sauna and vichy shower functions can not work at the same time. First check the water temperature through the hand shower! For that purpose connect hand shower to the quick-connection on the bath, open

vichy/hand shower valve and adjust the temperature from the thermostat. After you have checked the water temperature, do not forget to disconnect the hand shower from the quick-connection, otherwise the Vichy Shower does not function.

WARNING! Do not adjust the Vichy shower water temperature whilst the shower system is activated and a client is inside the cocoon: the client is laying down under the shower and can not move away from the shower if you accidentally adjust the water temperature too hot or too cold.

Cocoon cover should be opened and the bather can lie down onto the vibrating bed. To activate vichy shower function, press on the VICHY SHOWER button. Vichy indicator will appear on the screen and is surrounded buy a circle. (you will see water fall from vichy jets).

To select desirable vichy shower speed, press the +/- buttons, while indicator is in circle on the screen. Display shows speed selection. There are 3 positions for speed. It is possible to regulate vichy shower throughout the session. For that you must hold finger at least 2 seconds on vichy button and vichy shower icon on screen is in circle again. Now press +/- buttons to regulate speed of vichy jets. To change the area you want to massage with vichy, adjust the Vichy jets’ position manually. To shut OFF the function, press on VICHY SHOWER button once again.

Vibromassage Place the vibrating bed onto the bath tube and plug in power cord into the backside of the equipment. NB! Please move smoothly down on the vibrating bed, to avoid displacement of the table.

NB! Maximum load on vibrating bed can be 135 kg. To activate vichy shower function, press on the VIBROMASSAGE button. Vibrating massage indicator will appear on the screen and it is surrounded buy a

circle. (you will feel vibration from vibrating bed).

To select desirable vibration speed, press the +/- buttons, while indicator is in circle on the screen. Display shows speed selection. There are 3 positions for intensity of vibration.

It is possible to regulate vibration intensity throughout the session. For that you must hold finger at least 2 seconds on vibromassage button and vibromassage icon on screen is in circle again. Now press +/- buttons to regulate intensity of vibration. To shut OFF the function, press on VIBROMASSAGE button once again.

Chromotherapy

To use chromo therapy function, press on the CHROMOTHERAPY button. The chromo therapy will activate automatically. To switch off chromo therapy, press on the chromo therapy button again.

Chromo therapy indicator will appear on the screen and it is surrounded buy a circle. (you can see LED lights are shining).

If you press on the chromotheapy button, you have first program where colors are moving softly. If you like to have some special color all the time,

Hydrotherapy Tub Close the water drainage of the tub by sliding the drainage valve into the left-side position. To fill the tub quickly, Pro is provided with the separate taps for hot and cold water. Open the taps within the extent of ½-2/3, by turning the handles of the taps counter clockwise. After filling the bath for couple of minutes, you can see the approximate water temperature on the temperature display of the bath panel. If the temperature is

higher than the required one, you should add some cold water by turning cold water tap more open (more on the left). When you have half-filled the bath you can switch on the pump for few seconds and check the water temperature again on the temperature display of the bath control panel. NB! For any bathtub functions to activate the water level must be ~ 1 cm above the back massage jets!

Water Massage (pneumatic button 1)

To use underwater water massage function, press on pneumatic button on the bath edge. Water massage will

activate automatically. To switch off water massage, press on pneumatic button again.

Steam Sauna Hippocrates, Father of Medicine, used steam bathing, stating, "Give me the power to create a fever, and I shall cure any disease." … this is exactly what the researchers have found to be true. Fever is one of the body's most powerful defences against disease. Fever raises the body's temperature above normal in an attempt to destroy invading organisms and sweat impurities out of the system. Fever is a highly effective and natural process of curing disease and restoring health. It has been recognized as such for thousands of years. Hyperthermia deliberately creates fever in the patient in order to utilize this natural healing response. Steam bathing is the most effective method to create a state of hyperthermia. The steam sauna’s effects on the human organism are remarkable, but the concept of steam by itself is simple. Steam treatment cleanses the skin, the largest organ of human body. Aromatherapy Aromatherapy works two fold. First, aroma essences have a smell that, when inhaled is processed in the area of the brain that controls emotions. At the same time they penetrate the skin to get into the bloodstream and the immune system to work in a physiological method. Olfactory nerves stimulate also body metabolism, caloric level, antibiotic immunity activity, thus the aromatherapy benefits include:

Storing of aroma emulsions: Aroma emulsions should be stored in a cool, dark place to ensure their effectiveness and reduce spoilage. A dark glass bottle is best. Plastic bottles will deteriorate with time. A glass bottle with a dropper in it will also deteriorate, so it is best to store the dropper separately. NB! Oils are very potent at full strength and may burn or cause irritation. The use of oils over a long period of time (more than 12 weeks) may make the oil ineffective as the body builds up a resistance. Don’t touch the steam nozzle and cap during the procedure and after that, because of hot surface can damage your skin.

Infrared Sauna Infrared is a form of radiant heat transmitted through air. It has nothing to do with ultraviolet light, (which can give you sunburn and damage your skin). Infrared heat is simply a form of energy that is directly transmitted onto objects because of its specific wavelength.

It’s a dry form of heat with a depth of penetration between 2 and 10 mm. Skin and subcutaneous tissues (superficial fat, muscles and tendons) are the tissues primarily heated by infrared. Dry heat cleanses and detoxifies the skin.

Saunas rely on two forms of heat. As traditional saunas use hot air to transfer heat to your body by heating the surrounding air, the infrared heat rays warm your body directly. This allows an in-depth heat without heating up the room temperature, thus providing more health advantages and a highly

Health professionals have used red infrared heat lamps for decades to treat muscle and joint problems Infrared sauna can also strengthen your cardiovascular system. While the moisture on the surface of the skin evaporates and thus cools the body, a number of other changes occur in the body to release the heat as quickly as possible. Your heart beats harder and faster, pumps blood at a greater rate through the dilated blood vessels, achieving the conditioning benefits of continuous exercise, giving you same benefits as a cardiovascular workout. Infrared sauna burns calories, helps to degrade fat. As our body expends energy to produce sweat (1 g sweat requires 0.586 kcal) a moderately conditioned person can easily sweat off

up to 1000g or more in a sauna session - the equivalent to running 10-15 km. While this weight loss can be regained by re-hydration with water, the calories consumed will not be regained. Infrared sauna or infrared combined with steam sauna duration 30 minutes is good for weight control, body detoxification and burning calories. Important is possibly long treatment time, but no longer than 30 minutes. Through the perspiration process, acid and waste residue like toxins, sodium, alcohol, nicotine, cholesterol and potentially carcinogenic heavy metals like zinc, lead, nickel, and cadmium are removed from the cells. Removing of waste residues through the perspiration process is several times higher in infrared sauna to compare with traditional sauna – correspondingly 20% and 3% from the sweat’s composition.

For body detoxification and stimulating the lipolysis process in fat cells it is efficient to combine the deep penetrating infrared heat or steam sauna with intensive active lipolytic and microcirculation activating ingredients and with parafango. Infrared sauna is beneficial in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, muscle spasms, muscle tension conditions, chronic neck and low back pain. Radiant heat sauna therapy also relives the stiffness, aches and soreness associated with aging.

Advisable combinations…. Infrared+ steam/aroma sauna You can combine infrared sauna with steam sauna and perform aromatherapy at the same timr if desired. For safety reasons, infrared function activates only

up to medium level when combined with steam function – two indicator lights turn on.

Infrared+ steam/aroma sauna+vibromassage It is possible to use simultaneously the vibromassage function with the different sauna functions (see the “Instructions for using NeoQi® cocoon’s vibromassage”).

So-called “Vibrating sauna” is excellent for relaxation and performing an anti-stress procedure.

Infra-red and/or steam sauna + hydrotherapy/underwater massage NB! When combining sauna functions with hydrotherapy functions, hydrotherapy session must always follow the sauna procedures!

The maximum length of the sauna should be 15-20 minutes and 10 minutes should be used for hydrotherapy. The water temperature should be lower, remaining between 30-35ºC (regularly hydrotherapy is performed between 36-38ºC).

Body treatment in the sauna + face treatment and massage NeoQi® cocoon has ergonomic design and easily opened see-through plastic face screen, which even in closed position allows a comfortable access to the client’s head, neck and shoulders (upper part of the body). It allows carrying through facial and body

procedures simultaneously. You can combine all different sauna functions with the face treatment and the massage. It is reasonable to offer this combination like a treatment package or spa-treatment.

Infrared sauna and/or steam sauna + head massage Adding the head massage to the sauna is very relaxing and is suitable for stress management. We also advise to perform

acupuncture if the therapist has gone through special training.

Vichy Shower Vichy Shower produces spray-like heavy rain. The drops of water falling on your body, make you alert at first and relax afterwards. It is ideal for therapeutic water massage. Hydrotherapy offers it inside the water; Vichy shower provides it with the body surface outside water environment. Hydrotherapy Tub, Underwater Massage The therapeutic benefit of the underwater massage comes from the relaxing effect of warm water, applied at variable force on the muscles, particularly on deep-lying muscle layers, subcutaneous tissues, skin and the abdominal organs (intestines).

The stimulating action of water and its absorption into the skin offers many benefits for:

It’s ideal for: • muscular relaxation • encouragement of circulation • reduction of the increased release

of stress hormones, • creating an element of

psychological and physical comfort.

The hydrotherapy tub is carefully and ergonomically contoured, it comfortably fits the body so that the pressure points are eliminated.

The bathtub is made of reinforced acrylics, especially tempered to provide

heat and shock resistance. All surfaces are smooth and free of pores making the tub hygienic and easy to clean.

While performing the hydrotherapy it is important to take into consideration the client’s health condition, age and the preceding procedures. The water temperature for regular whole body hydrotherapy procedure is 34-38ºC, the length of one treatment is maximum 20 minutes. NB! When combining sauna functions with hydrotherapy functions, hydrotherapy session must always follow the sauna procedures!

The maximum length of the sauna should be 15-20 minutes and 10 minutes should be used for hydrotherapy. The water temperature should be lower, remaining between 30-35ºC (regularly hydrotherapy is performed between 36-38ºC).

Use the right program according to each client. The pressure of the water massage is softer if using water and air combined.
